I spoke with the Hub today and they would really like to have a final count for the Wednesday night dinner by a week before the dinner so that means......July 27 Im sure they will be able to accommodate a few extras meals in case someone decides last minute........but if they run out of planned food there is always their menu to order off of. and remember tshirt orders cut off July 13

My wife and I are going to St Louis, MO for a relatives birthday part around July 4th so we thought we would take a ride to the Ozarks first. We have not been there before so we are looking for some suggestions about lodging etc. We are going to leave on Wednesday July 1 and will need to be in the St Louis area by late afternoon on the 3rd, it does not leave us a lot of time we know that. Any help would be appreciated.

Is there anyone in NC that can preform a carbtune/adjustment? I am def wanting to help and learn how to do this but I dont have the tool that is needed. I would like to try to get this done this month or next because I am heading out to Sturgis on the 31 july. It is an 07 midnight and runs good i just think that it needs a tuneup. Is there anything i should look for to even know if it really needs one? Thanks for the help VR family. Robert 'TheKid'

Hey Guys, I'm going to out of pocket for a while, starting yesterday. Right now I'm in Denver with my Mom & sister to attend my yougest brother's wedding and won't be back until after Memorial Day the 26th. Then the following week I'm taking off with Goose and Ponch to ride up to Ohio for Don's workday, where the Butt Butler is going to reworking seats. Then I'm back for about 10 days before I take a group up to Spearfish for say 10 days. So this means I really won't be back for any length of time until July 1st. But I'll be checking my e-mail and posts while I'm out so I won't be completely out communications. I've told everyone that has contacted me recently about this, but just wanted everyone else to be informed. So if you think you can get me your seat durung one of the 2 periods I'm back, I'll get it out to you ASAP. However if you can wait, get with me after July 1st. Thanks, Rick

Need your help again....hubby and I are planning on 12 day bike trip up to Glacier then on to Banff. Yesterday, I emailed a B & B about staying in Banff on July 15th and 16th. I'm able to book rooms, but was told that it's right during Calgary Stampede. Looked it up on their website and it looks like the dates are July 3-12th for the Stampede. Just wondering if we are crazy coming up there as we are not big crowd people. I know July and August are busy tourist times anyway for the Banff area....will it be nuts up there still on the 15th and 16th? Thanks for any help!

I can take the fact my driveway is iced up and still takes a 4x4 to get out. I can take the fact it's Feb 1 and the creek is running high. I can take the fact I got called out to work a few hours today but? What was that group of 4 Harley's doing out on the interstate? Acting like it was the fourth of July and I didn't feel like waving.

Sorry I have been so absent! The job has consumed my life over the last few months and will probably continue to do so until the end of the year. I have been popping in and reading and trying to keep up with everyone's activities, so keep posting so I stay current! Deb and I have not really been out on the bikes since we got back from Michigan back on July, so we need to at least correct that problem as soon as possible. Anyway just wanted to check in, say hi and ride safe!

Who's going to Sturgis and what are your plans? I thought it would be neat to see what VR's plans are for going to Sturgis. Where from, what the mileage will be, when will you arrive. Any big plans...Concerts, parties, venues etc. For me and the princess, we are leaving here the afternoon of July 31. Will arrive in Sturgis the afternon of Aug 1. No concerts or such planned. Just gonna hang out, go for a few rides, see the sites, just see what comes along. Leave on Monday, Aug. 4 towards Colorado. Hopefully by Wednesday be somewhere in Utah. We want to go through Arches Nat'l Park. Thursday start back towards home, which may include a night back in Sturgis Friday, Aug. 8th. And then home by Sunday the 10th. It is our big getaway for the summer and have been looking forward to it for way too long. Exception though will be in late July, going to Georgia to see and support our son graduate from Army boot camp at Benning. Flying for that, just not enough time to ride. For those going to Sturgis. Let me know. Maybe we can gather for a cocktail or two! Erns:thumbsup:

Don't know how many of our members have or are serving in our armed forces....but Gary and I just want to say a big thank you for making it possible to enjoy the 4th of July tomorrow. Can't help being a sorry sap who gets a tear or two when I see our local VFW walking past us with the flag flying. However you feel about the war right now, we all wish our troops home safe and soon, so thank you again for serving our country! Starting Thursday July 3rd, through Sunday July 6th, at Newport on the Levy, is the Newport Motorcycle Rally. This is right on the Ohio River shores across from Cincinnati, Ohio. Ron and I go to this event every year. There are vendors, bands, food, and a lot of motorcycles. If you are going to be near by, why not stop by. There was a person from the Guelph area talking about riding into Toronto to see the Fireworks display at Ontario Place on Sat. July 5th, and asking if anyone wanted to join he and his wife. We need some advice. StarRider and I will be attending the Rally at KW next July and will be travelling through the states. We will be stopping in Minneapolis to see friends and then south through the Chicago area. Is there a way around Chicago so that we can miss the toll roads. Or is it better to take the more direct route through Chicago. We would probably pick up 94 in Indiana, and then into Michagan to Detroit. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
