This Caveman has Skydoc_17's fuse box upgrade and needs help. I must be pre-caveman cause I missed something in the instructions or just not getting it. I think I have more going on at the top of the fusebox (see attached image) than in the instructions. I might have a noise suppressor and the battery mod plugged into one of the screws at the top. This is where I am stuck and do not know what to do.

Yep, mine started slipping about two months ago. Very slight at first and now very noticeable. I ordered the clutch up grade this past Monday 09-21-09 from PCW Racing and received it today 09-23-09 by UPS. Pretty good I would say. I just might start on it tonight after work and see how it goes. I may understand the instructions more once I get in there and see what it is like. Thanks to this sight as to know where to order parts and do the work.

Hey all, I purchased a new 6 disk cd changer on ebay for my 06 venture but the thing doesn't have instructions on how to install it on my bike. It looks to have the rubber mounting bracket to go in the side compartment. anyone know where to find some detailed instructions on how this mounts? Thanks!

Enclosed is a picture of my gauge set-up, to which I owe a big thank-you to jlh3rd, V7Goose, Freebird, and several others that posted instructions, ideas, and help of all kinds that made my installation trouble-free, leak-free, and a very straightforward job. Thanks again.- 2 replies

I purchased a mounting bar and passing lamp off of E-bay for my 08 RSV. Either I have over looked the instructions or they didn't send any. I am an electrician so the electrical part is no problem. I'm looking for the mechainical instructions. I've searched for a thread with mechanical instructions and didn't find any. Found a lot on the electrical side.....that doesn't mean there isn't one, I just couldn't find it. My questions are: 1. How do I incorporate the blinkers? 2. Exactly where does it mount? 3. Mechanically, how much time should I plan on spending mounting the lights? Any advise would be appreciated.... Thanks!!

A couple years ago I bought high & low beam WHITE bulbs for my 2005 Silverado from http://www.eurodezigns.com They advertised a lifetime warranty for a mere $6.95 return fee. GUESS WHAT - I had a bulb go out so I took it out put it in an envelope with a $6.95 MO and mailed it back as the instructions say on their web site. Within 5 days I had a SET (2 bulbs) in the mail. So now I have a spare if another one goes out.

Hi, I just purchased the Stebel Compact Nautilus horn to replace the horrible stock tweet on the side of the bike. The horn arrived in good order but with very unclear installation instructions. I don't know how to wire this one up. The package included a 4 way plug and I see a plus and minus on the bottom of the thing. I hooked it up to the two stock wires but that only produces a strange vibrating noise. Not good. Is there anyone out there who can provide me with clear instructions on how to wire this up? Thank you! Robert

I ordered a new clutch today from pcw racing. I got the one with everything. It was 163.00 with shipping. I will probably have alot of questions so be prepared. I printed off Freebirds instructions. I have never been in a motorcycle clutch before. It will be a new experience (hopefully a good one). Should be here by this weekend. Stay tuned. Thanks hairman:thumbsup:

I thought about installing a combined turn signal/brake light bar. Seems that defeats the purpose that the main message is "I am stopping" to the person behind me. I now plan to buy the Signal Dynamics 15" LED light bar with high and low intensity. I recall there being installation instructions somewhere as to how to install this light bar under the rear trunk? Anyone completed this installation and have some tips, instructions or photos for me to use for installation ? Appreciate the help.

I've been a member here for a few years and have met a lot of folks at Don's Maintenance Day and on Meet-N-Eats and the Asheville Rally, but unfortunately my "site time" is sporadic and I mostly lurk (I am not nearly as clever and humorous in my limited contributions as many others are). I ride year round (to work) unless there is snow/ice on the road. My hands were always the part of me I couldn't keep comfortably warm. I tried heated grips but the tops of my hands and fingers still got cold. I was going to buy heated gloves, but was not attracted to the thought of every morning and every evening having to pull the connecting wires down through the sleeves to plug the gloves in and containing the spaghetti wiring harness inside my jacket like loose intestines. I read as many other posts as I could find (on site and off) regarding making your own heated clothing. I did a lot of thinking and planning and procrastinating and built up the courage to buy parts and put holes in a perfectly good riding jacket. I documented the experience with the intent of putting it on the site so that anyone else (cheap like me) feeling adventurous and possessing opposable thumbs with an aptitude to follow instructions might want to follow suit. Essentially for the cost of heated gloves and about $50 in electrical parts I built the spaghetti wires permanently inside my armor jacket and put radiator-like heat in the jacket liner. The attached instructions are a kind of long, but include pictures and hopefully enough detail that someone could tailor the procedure to their particular jacket, gloves, and requirements without a great deal of re-inventing the wheel. Is the passing light/lightbar kit the same for RSTD as Venture?
Guest posted a topic in General Tech Talk
I bought a complete lightbar kit off Ebay - advertised as being for the Tour Deluxe. Got it tonight and pulled out the instructions and the instructions are for a Venture. Is the passing light/lightbar kit the same for RSTD as Venture? And if so - are there separate instructions for the RSTD - that I can download somewhere? Thanks ahead of time Shep- 4 replies

Thought I had already posted a thank you to Cliff and FLB 78. I think that is the right folks. Anyway last week we had a wee bit of a problem in El Paso. And the only place I could think of at the time of night was on here. You guys were great. Cliff contacted FLB and I got the bike fixed with his instructions. We even made it all the way back to Oklahoma. So thanks to you both. I owe you two. If you are ever up here and need anything let me know. SS

Ok folks, I need a bit of help. I purchased a set of floorboards from a member here. Nice transaction. They will be arriving next week. I have searched and cannot find instructions for mounting. Also, I remember seeing a set that had a cross brace under the motor. His set was on his bike when he bought it. No cross brace on the bike. They look to be Venture Line boards. I sure could use a set of instructions. I am sure the parts will only line up one way so I can figure it out. Just want to find things like bolt length to make sure parts are correct. Attached are pics of the boards I am getting and the boards I saw on e-bay with the bar/brace. Pictures marked Left and Right are the items I purchased. JB

I just ordered a 4 guage carb sync set. Now I need to know how to sync my carbs. I have an 05 RSTD with a little over 20,000 km on it. If anyone out there can send me a link or tell me step-by-step instructions, I would be very thankful. Dealer wants 3 hrs at almost $100/hr. Guages were only $95. Snake:225:

Hi guys & Gals, I recieved my levelling links and the instructions that came with them are not very clear. I know some of you guys have installed them yourself, but is there a posting in here somewhere with step by step instructions or can someone here post them for me? I don't want to be a pain, but I want to save a few bucks by installing them myself. I've worked on cars and trucks before but my RSMV is new to me. Any help and/or tips is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Somewhere I have picked up spy-schredder and I can not uninstall it. I even went on their web site and it would not bring up their homepage. It has slowed down my computer and everytime I turn it on I have to go thru a bunch of crap just to get it off the screen. Any help is appreciated and any instructions need to be basic. I just had to x out a popup on spy-schredder as I was writing this. Thanks, RandyA
