  1. I had my Bushtec Trl. painted to match the 06 black cherry RSV. I did not seal the deck lid 3rd tail light correctley and developed a leak. Called bushtec, long story short... rode to their factory in Jacksboro, Tn. They fixed leak free. While there I had a luggage rack and bearings installed. No labor or installation cost. If you buy from them the labor is free. Met a GW rider there from Ga. who had ordered a trl. to match his GW paint job. He was leaving in one week for a ride out west. Bushtec could not have his trl. ready in time, so they loaned him one to pull for his trip., (unheard of). I have never dealt with a company that treated the customer so nice. Can not say enough for this company, if you get a chance tour their factory...If you come through Chattanooga, I will take you there. :cool10:

  4. I know that most of you like to give your tire business to swmoto because of the good things they have done for us...... but I am a savy shopper.........and got a great deal $$ and super fast delivery on the rear Avon tire I bought for Dale. I ordered it Wednesday sometime around 7 pm and it arrived early this afternoon.....!! The tire was $120.99 and the shipping was free !!They did have a $5 tire fee so $125.99 to buy this same tire from swmoto would have cost me $131.95 + $14 for shipping ( since I only was ordering 1) I also looked at motox whose price was $121.99 + $15 shipping. Anyways I thought I would pass this good price info along.... http://www.denniskirk.com they are out of MN and ship same day free for orders over $100...under $100 is $6.95 shipping. with a satisfaction guarantee...you have up to 90 days for full refund or exchange
  5. It could have been a close call yesterday. We just pulled in from our atv ride at the camp. Shut the atv's off and heard sirens coming. We looked coming off the hill on RT 4 was a deputy sheriff chasing a brown caddy. The caddy turned onto our 1 lane country road and flew up by the camp with the deputy right on his tail. The caddy tried to climb the winding hill road behind our camp but may have spun out or got bumped out of the road. A few minutes later two state trooper cars flew by the camp and we heard them turn off the sirens about half way up the mountain. Ramona and I just came down that road a few minutes earlier. I waved at the deputy with his prize setting in the back seat. I gave the rollback driver a wave when he brought that caddy off the ridge down by the camp. The troopers managed to stop a dui on the way back to. So here is the thoughts for a new sign at the camp while were there. All LEO's free coffee or ice tea just for showing up on my end of the county.:cool10:
  6. OK, So I have removed my YCIS and plugged the ports, but what exactly does the sensor do that is has a vac line coming off of #1 (#2?) jug and runs up under the dash and hooks to the Pressure Sensor / Free Boost Sensor? I can't seem to find anything about it. Just wonder ing, and how does one test it?

  10. A favor to ask, it only takes a minute.... * I * 6*Y Please tell ten friends to tell ten today! The Breast Cancer site is having trouble getting enough people to click on their site daily to meet their quota of donating at least one free mammogram a day to an underprivileged woman. It takes less than a minute to go to their site and click on 'donating a mammogram' for free (pink window in the middle). This doesn't cost you a thing. Their corporate sponsors/advertisers use the number of daily visits to donate mammogram in exchange for advertising. Here's the web site! Pass it along to people you know. http://www.thebreastcancersite.com/

  14. Merry Christmas Bikers The trees are all set in each biker home Ornaments of yammers and sickles of chrome. Packages below of leather and gear. Cant wait to open them they say with a tear. Remembering the birth is a primary thought The Son of God given, our sins He has bought. A time for family and friends and love. The star in the heavens, a reminder above. Blessed to be living, blessed to be free. Blessed to remember while looking at that tree. The Savior is born, the angel had cried. Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good ride. Written by Terry L. Looking for Freebird

First time for me to Post on this site. I've been in looking some but not to sure how it all works. I was looking at the Free Parts section and wanted to know if Kenny G's windshield was still avaliable? If so do you know what kind of shape it is in? If I want a free part do I just pay for shipping? Please help!!! Thanks, Barry
  16. I bought my Zumo toward the end of June this year. I've been thinking about updating to the 2008 maps. A few weeks ago I was going through the Garmin site and decided to review the info in the MyGarmin account. Looked at the map updates in there and it said I was eligible for a free upgrade! I said yes, verified my info, and got it Friday. Installed it today. I haven't had a problem with my unit, but from what I hear, those that have had problems were promptly taken care of with service over and above what most were expecting. I think this free map upgrade is another example. If you own a Zumo and have it registered, you might want to check and see if you have a free upgrade coming.
  17. As you all know, Old Hippy(Chuck), my other half was hit on our 88 in August. We had just purchased a seat skin from coveralls.biz. We hadn't even had a chance to use it and it got mangled with the bike. We needed it to keep our cloth seat dry and clean. We had contacted them when we had to have paperwork for the insurance company, so they knew about the crash. At the time David Rutledge(coveralls) stated that if we got a new bike he would replace the cover free of charge. With everything going on I just let it slip from my mind. Yesterday I received an email from him asking if we had found a bike, that his offer still stood to replace the damaged cover. I now have a brand new one on the way free of charge. Kudos to Coverall.biz. They are a great company and caring. I know Roadkill has spoken to them also. Keep up the great work.
  18. All the dealer will give me is $13,700.00 for my bike.....which I think is quite fair.....and if someone wants a Venture......will most likely have 2000 miles on it.....by trade time or under next week.........I can live with it for another week.......Comes with a free Chirp and Lucas Oil Additive in the oil......so if a member wants a good deal......here it is free Chirp and All. Kit
  19. This product has probably been mentioned before, but here goes...I was told about this from a HD rider...Mr. Clean makes a system that gives (true) a spot free rinse. I used it all last year, and when I used it this year for the first time, I noticed just a little spottiness. So I bought a new filter for $6, and, presto, spot free. I don't blow dry nor towel dry...just let it set for an hour or so. I recommend this tool to anyone who washes their bike a lot like me. It cost $20 for the unit w/ filters & soap @ Wally World in the Automotive section. DA
  20. I would just like to say thank you to everybody that gave advice and suggestions concerning the clutch on the moneypit. And the winner is.....MBrood! After reading everyone else's advice-he raised an interesting point. Knowing that I had just put a kit in the master cylinder, including the rod that works the thing, he started talking about aftermarket cylinders and handles. That got me to thinking- I have a black brake handle, but the clutch handle is polished metal, and when I bought the bike there was a broken black handle in the trunk. He said that if I had put in an OEM pushrod between the handle and cylinder-that the rod may be too long- filed off 1/8" from the end that goes into the handle, and no more slip. It seems that you always have to have a little handle free play to ensure no pressure in order for the return to be free. After filing down the rod, I've logged about 700 miles on the bike, 200 yesterday at 90+ temps. To quote Forrest Gump "that's good, one less thing". Thanks again guys.
