Has anyone tried this, and what makes it different from regular gasoline? According to what I am reading it doesnt get stale and its legal to store in your vehicle, so what makes it different? Other than the highly inflated price? http://sparefuel.net/ Brian

No, it's not about my new 'backrest.' It's to help stop an annoyance, and a disgrace! There are several car stealerships that try to take advantage of our younger, less-informed US Marines stationed here at Camp Lejeune (which is 8 miles from my house) by offering them GUARANTEED financing, blah blah blah. Well, they're now going WAY out of their way to try and bait these Marines in. Please take a moment to look at http://onslow.craigslist.org/cta/ This is the Car/Truck ads for Jacksonville, NC. There are a LOT of ads featuring "Brian The Car Guy" and others listed in Chesapeake, and VA Beach. I'm just asking all lthe VR Members (who read this, and can spare a few clicks to help out the Marines here) to find any ads for "Brian The Car Guy" "Chesapeake" or "VA Beach" and flag them as MISCATEGORIZED. These Marines already dodge enough bullets overseas, let's help them dodge these domestic ones! I've contacted these dealerships personally, and asked them to please remove their postings in this areas, since they are all over 3 HOURS AWAY. They pretty much told me Marines are easy targets. Maybe I'm making a mountain out of a molehill, and maybe I should just stay off Craigslist... but it pi$$es me off.

An article I wandered across today instead of actually working. It stated that the new wing wont be built for at least a year or 2 so they are in a holding pattern over at Honda as well. http://blog.ridermagazine.com/2010/05/12/new-honda-gold-wing-news/ Brian

This is Murray, one of the guys I ride with in the local chapter of the Canadian Motorcycle Cruisers. Its pretty obvious to me that he has a BAD case of cabin fever. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1_iLG7FcgbY]YouTube- Rocker Burnout[/ame] Brian

I know there are more than a couple of collectors of unusual bikes and scooters in here. I stumbled across this link today while looking at repos, etc. https://www.crankyape.com/default.asp?pg=DispSingleItem&ItemNumber=16870 Brian

Hi, What do folks use to keep the visible portions of the first gen engine cases clean and presentable looking? I have cleaned mine on occasion but its a job I don't like much, so they get pretty dirty each time before I'll do it again. They are very grimey at the moment. Generally, I use soap and water and a tooth brush. I have used carb & brake parts spary cleaners but my conscience nags me about environmental issues. Is there an easier & safer way? Spray on, hose off & go for a ride is the kind of thing I had in mind. I don't think she'd like the pressuer washer though. What's the best way? Thanks, Brian H.

NO,NO, it's not what you think it is!! Last week, I had some time to kill so I wrinkled the motor. I got some black wrinkle paint from AutoZone and went to work. I like the looks. The grey that it came through with just didn't do it for me. Brian

I found this while I was wandering around the net the other day. I think they would look great on a bike that has been de-badged. http://www.emblemzz.com/Scripts/prodView.asp?idproduct=244 Brian

I just calculated that my just retired metzler 'perfect 99' rear tire, lasted me for 16,600 miles. How does that sort of tire life seem ? Thanks, Brian H.

Hey all still debating on which bike and the nomad is a bigger bike engine wise and quite a bit cheaper and I know all the accessories you get with venture and I really like them both but can't decide, had indeed sat on both and the nomad is lower. anyway any thoughts appreciated can get the 07 venture @ 13,900.00 or the nomad @ 9,800.00 Thanks Brian D.

From another thread......... BTW there was no mention of the Birthday, the day before, so Brian & I didn't know at that point. Scotty, your timing for showing up in the cage was perfect, as Friesman1 was delayed too (slept in & 6 hour drive). We had great eats, then to finishing work on Friesman1's scoot. We took the swing arm off, as it was not re-assembled correctly in California, after middle gear was blown. Then more fantastic eats, after Brian's initial test ride within the building. I had provided Scotty & Brian with VR Gremlin bells, after dinner.......... Yesterday, Brian rode the scoot outdoors in the Wainwright area, after a final rear brake bleeding. Then we finished up, on the re-assembly of mine. Last time I saw him last night, he was riding in the direction of Timmies & not the motel. Will be meeting up with him again this morning & he will be heading home this afternoon. There will be some pics, but Brian has them.

I've been working on a one man trailer for safely loading your bike. It'll take two smaller bikes or one large touring bike. I've only got one wheel chock built right now and I really don't need a second. Check out the pix and let me know what you think.
