Is there a headlight visor that fits the Venture's headlight? Anyone with any experience with doing this? What brand, etc. Thanks for the info.

I bought my 05 Venture the Friday before Katrina hit. Today I bought a trike before another one hits here. Got a 2004 pewter goldwing with a new Trike Shop (roadsmith) kit on it. It has 33000 miles on the bike part and looks brand new. I will be selling my Venture shortly. Tried to attach photos but it said I was missing a security token and to notify my administrator. So until then.

i have a question, for all you "electronic geniuses", out there. what is "true RMS". today, i swapped a $50.00 "wal-mart gift card", for a FLUKE 117 true rms electrician's multi tester. brand new, still in the shrink wrapper. how bad did i get hosed? just jt

I just took a look at the latest Harbor Freight sales flyer and noticed they have a front wheel chock on sale for $37.00 bucks. Just the ticket for my flat bed toy hauler... It's a Haul-Master brand... which might be the HF brand... and it looks pretty nice. I'm going to mosey over to HB and take a look at it face to face. Well...I finally got up the nerve to put my Venture up for sale in the classifieds. I have also placed an ad for a brand new Rivco Centerstand and an excellent condition stock Venture windshield.

I want to purchased brake pads front and rear to keep in stock for my 06 Venture. Any favorite brand and type? Any good or bad experience? Not looking for the cheapest nor for GP types, just a good set.

OK, some of you know I've been looking at scooters for my wife. She has a five mile commute up and down a mountainside to work and it would be a great way of a) getting her onto two wheels and b) save a lot of money in gas. So here's the question... There are a lot of Chinese/Korean off-brand scooters out there with 150cc versions costing around $1300-1800. She has wanted a Honda Reflex (250) for a while and we've been looking for one of these. The best we have found so far is a 2002 with 21k miles for $2850 and the price of a new one is in the region of $5200+. Is it worth buying a cheap off-brand, almost disposable scooter and throwing it away after two or three years and replacing it, or are we better to buy the known brand for triple the money? Other possibilities for known brand scooters are the Yamaha Majesty or the Suzuki Burgman. Both bigger, I know, and considerably more expensive, but I worry about safety and replacement parts. Fire away boys (and girls) !!

I am running stock NGK plugs in my 06 Venture. Would performance improve with a different brand of plug? How about plugs that run hotter? Comments and suggestions welcomed! Regards...........Boomer

The trunk rack on my 05 RSV has started to rust. I want to replace it, but I don't know what brand it is. Is there a way to tell if it's a yamaha brand, or some other. Also are the mounting points the same for any rack made for the Venture. Maybe some one can give me some mearsurements of the mounting points so I can get a replacement. Thanks

Tire questions are just about as worn out as clutch whine questions for us. So I appologize. And, of course the subject of tire preference has already been discussed at length. But, I'm not looking for tire brand opinions right now. I already know what I want. This season, I just want to try out a specific new tire to see how I like it, and what I am looking for, is a reliable vendor with a great price. Because I have neither the time, experience or the proper tools to pull the wheels myself, I will have to bring my '07 Venture in to the dealer to change the tires. The price they charge to change both tires makes me cringe - $161 (and that's just for labor!) I know what is involved, and that it takes time. But still . . . Ouch! These are the tires I want to buy. Dunlop Elite IIIs 150/80/16 Front $164 150/90/15 Rear $191 These are my local dealer's prices (including a 10% STAR discount): So, the total cost for these tires & installation = $516 (Not including tax). I don't think that I will find a better price around here for the labor. So, I'm trying to save some money on the tires. I have done a lot of on-line searching, but I'm having difficulty finding vendors who carry this specific brand, model and size(s). Can anyone offer me some recommendations for vendors who for sure have these tires in the size I am looking for? I have already checked the websites for: SouthWest Moto (No telephone number) American Moto Tire (No telephone number) And, I couldn't find the right sizes. Okay guys, what do you think? Well yesterday was fun, NOT! Heard what sounded like I hit something then 10 miles later when I stopped for gas went around to check and left front flat as could be. Did something I have never done. Called someone to change it. Figured I have paid for 30 years, might as well let my insurance pay. I felt so guilty I ended up helping. At least it was a full size brand new spare. Was able to have the tire plugged, and my mechanic says it was in a good spot so should last.

Greetings from down under. Just wanted to know if anyone is aware of slash cut Samsung pipes for the RSV? There is a fellow RSVer here in Oz selling a set and I'm just curious as to their lineage. I just got my superbrace today but it wont fit. Its the Venture model 1100 but I have a 1990 bike with brand new boots. It seems the superbrace wont go in there with the boots. Any hints?

I am looking to replace front and rear tires on my 84 Standard. Currently running Dunlop D404's. I think they handle fine, but I am wondering if anyone else has anything great to say about another brand. Looking for mileage and decent price. American motorcycle tire will deliver a front and rear D404 to my house for $134. -
