I am in Arkansas and plan on spending the winter in Floride. I have a 37 foot toy hauler and I am looking for motorcycle friendly campgound to spend 4-5 months in ? I lived in St. Pete back in my beach bum days (70,s) and know things have changed. Anyway.... I do not need to be ON the water but close would be nice....small town preferred. Thanks Cb

Is any one here planning to go to Thunder Beach in Panama City Beach, Fla. on Sept.23- 27.I'm planning on going on the 26th.Just wondering if any other members were gonna be there.I hope all this rain clears out before then.

While at work today we were doing our regular excercise and I tore the bicep in my right arm. What a bummer. Had a ride planned for next week in Myrtle Beach. 3-4 month+ recovery time. What did I do?

In a few weeks, I will be travelling to Portsmount, NH, then all the way up the coast of Maine to Eastport. I would like some advice on hotel/motel reservations. Should I make some? And how far in advance? I really don't want to book anything ahead of time. I want to see where the wind takes me. For example, I will probably spend one night at Old Orchard Beach. I notice there are plenty of logdings along the beach there. Will I find something when I get there? With the economy the way it is, will the vacation spots be less crowded? Cheers!

Took a drive in car with wife to Wa. Coast the other day. While driveing down the beach, we spotted this currious new species of tree growing on the beach. ?? ( yes you can drive on the beach in Wa. State )

this morning while watching tv, nothing but T-storms all day. wife wants to go for a ride, (she bugs me awhile) Okay where too? lets ride up the coast line to west palm beach, we take off around 10:30 , and head north to A1A, in deerfield Beach, Fl., pick up A1A, and take a slow ride north into west palm. stop for lunch, around1:30pm, hear some storms coming in, and decide to head south again. just into Bayton Beach, we hit our first major downpour. okay, suit up, continue the ride South., 20 minutes or so, we come out the other side. okay, this is good. ride the rest of the way, down A1A, then out to I-95, to I595 west. (Wrong answer) major lighting, hail, high winds, and a big white wall of rain in front of us. over the intercom, I hear Oh damn... What I ask?, look at the trees to the right...... S**t, looks like a mini twister, branches, flying everywhere. winds start pushing the bike over, I gun it, and peeled off the highway, as the heavy rains, start slapping at the wind sheild, and made it under a bridge, but had to move as the light turned green. now riding to the right of (whatever) that was, we continued south, into a waterfall, small hail, the road flooded fast, at one point, I thought we were driving a speed boat, the way the water was coming off the front wheel. not any part of our bodies were dry. water coming up over my feet, almost no vis., we turned o the west, hoping to get on the back side of it. after a good 15 minutes, we finally came out, into a slow rain. You know me, being the smart A**, I ask her. "Did the enjoy your ride today"?............ Silence, not a peep, the rest of the way home:cool10: The best part of my ride:cool10: chaulk this up as anyother normal day in Soggy South Florida

Thought I share some sunshine and beach, Florida style, on this Easter Day! Let me tell you how really good I have it: I have a RSTD! I have two daughters that know, and love, GOD! I have a girlfriend who is not only fun to look at but OH! can she cook! I live in Paradise! But most importantly I know, emphatically, that God loves me! Happy Easter, Everyone!

I will be in North Myrtle Beach S.C. the week of Mar. 14-21. My brother and I are trying to arrange rental of 2 bikes for a day. Unfortunately the condo we've rented won't allow bikes in the parking lot. If we go ahead with these plans we would be looking for a driveaway to park 2 bikes for 1 night near to the condo we're renting (2001 S.Ocean Blvd N. Myrtle Beach S.C. 29582). Thanks in advance for any help u can offer. I have already tryed a few self storage units but they aren't too accommodating for 1 night at a reasonable cost. The condo company isn't too helpful either to accomodate us.

I have a friend who lives in Virginia Beach and he is having problems with his scoot and needs some help. He has a 1980 Honda CB 750 that sat for about 18 months. All things considered he says the bike runs well, with 1 exception.................when he has the bike running it will not idle properly. He can't get the idle adjusted DOWN to the right rpm's. He said that he has tried adjusting the idle screw, and even accidentally backed it off so much the screw came out (evidently a real pain to put back in), and this does not effect the idle speed. He has contacted both Honda dealers in the area and they won't touch the bike because of the the year. Any suggestions on how to fix the idle or a good shop that he can take his bike too to look at the problem?

I was out riding today and stopped at one of my favorite view sites on the southern end of the Big Island. For those who know, this is right above Whittington Beach Park in the District of Ka'u. It was a GLORIOUS day! To the right you'll see the plume that is emitted from the Pu'u O'o vent at Kilauea Volcano. It is responsibly for all the Vog (google it) here on the Big Island. On the right side you'll see (not very well though) the steam plume from where the lava is entering the ocean. Basically the island is growing. In about 100,000 years that's gonna be one heck of a nice beach!

We did the Thunder Beach at Panama City Beach thing Sat. Took in the custom bikes and I took a few pics. They were more beautiful in person and some were very unique. Enjoy

Hey guys, 5 of my buddies on their Harley's and Wings and me on my RSV are going to Raleigh NC tomorrow. Saturday morning we're going to Carolina Beach and hopefully eat some good fish for lunch. Made it in last nite all safe and sound. All things being equal I would rather be on the road! Pulled an 800+ mile ride yesterday to get home. All said and done the trip was just over 4600 miles and we rode thru Colorado , Kansas , Oklahoma, Arkansas, Tennessee , Mississippi, Alabama, Florida (where we stayed for a week), Georgia, Tenessee again, Kentucky (where we stayed for 2 days), Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, back thru Kansas and Colorado. We started in Ft. Collins, Co and spent the first nite in Blackwell, OK then made it to Jackson, MS the next day and from Jackson we made it to Boynton Beach, FL. Hung out on the beach for a week or so then boogied from Boynton Beach, FL to Perry, Georgia where we grabbed a pizza and a room. The next day we made it to Morganfield, KY and spend 2 days there. When we left there we pulled a short day because of some nasty rain and ended up in Sweet Springs, MO at Betty's Truckstop/Motel...you guys should take care to avoid this place because it SUCKS. I repeat Bettys Truckstop/Motel at exit 74 on I-70 in Missouri SUCKS steer clear of it. Anyway from there we made it to Ft. Collins the next day. Will post some pics soon.
