I own a '99. I have seen some refer to our scoot as just Ventures and some as Royal Star Ventures. There might have been one other one. I can understand using the term Venture being generic for all Ventures, but is there is a reason why some are called Royal Star Venture (if not all of them are called that)?

I am a happy and proud owner of either a Royal Star Boulevard or Royal Star Tour Classic with four (4) exhaust headers and mufflers. I am living in Thailand where big bikes are taboo, but here as a gray market offering, most bikes coming from Japan. The serial numbers are removed and restamped by the Thailand Department of Revenue so I am not sure of the year, but I did own a 2000 Royal Star Boulevard in the US that I purchased new. I want to install some aftermarket slip-on mufflers but am not having any luck finding pipes due to the age of the bike. Any help would be appreciated. -
Wondering where a good place to buy carb diaphrams for my '86 Venture Royal? My local dealer seems on the high side. Any help. Jack

Im sure glad I dont work on piece work basis, or id be a poor miserable B*****d...... Anyway, finally got the rectifier wired back up. All sealed, heat shrunk, soldered and best of all, charging like theres no tomorrow. It was a royal PIA but well worth the time in the end. I know I drove some of you nuts with my phone calls. Thanks for the help. I'll go away now....

Just got my 2nd gen. Venture (2000 MM edition) and am disappointed in the engine whine at 60-65 mph. Please tell me there's a cure. I have a '97 Royal Star and I don't think that made such a whine.

Will a 2007 windshield for a Royal Star Venture fit on a 1999 Royal Star Venture? Also I am new to this website and was wondering how the classified section works. Do you have to call the person and let them know what you want or do you have to click the Buy It Now? How does the Buy It Now work? I have bought alot of things off ebay, but wasn't sure if this works the same way. Thanks hairman

Had a friend call, He just purchased an older model "Royal Star", I didn't get the year of the bike. I don't know the different models of Yamaha, but he said it wasn't a Venture, it was a Royal Star... Anyway, He wanted to know if I could sync his carbs like I did on my 07' Venture. I said I would if I could figure out where to hook up the Carbtune and which screws to turn ??? That's my question !!! Is there a thread here that describes how to sync his carbs ? He said his engine was very similar to mine (he seen my bike). But is there a difference ??? Sorry that I don't know the year of his bike, I couldn't reach him to ask, but he's coming over this afternoon... Hopefully I can help him if someone can direct me. Thanks Sterling

Not sure who is selling this 2000 Venture, but I found it recently posted on cycletrader and its being sold by someone in my local community. Hi all, I have recently added a Venture fairing to my 1998 Royal Star. What I'm looking for is the windshield bracket (the metal band that you screw the windshield to). Additionally I need to fill the holes left where the speedometer/idiot light/cassette door reside. These parts NEED NOT BE FUNCTIONAL, in fact I would prefer they be non-working condition as the Royal Star has all instruments on the tank, and I'm just going to paint these black and use them as block off plates. Yamaha Royal Star Venture - Models 2001 vs. 2007 (I have my 2007 RSV listed here in the classified - but maybe some people might find this little blurb of mine interesting?) One year ago I never thought that I could afford to ever own Yamaha Royal Star Venture. Today I own and ride 2 of them! PTL! A short note here to let the reader know the differences that I have experienced riding each. Handling 07 - Better in maneuvering from pushing it around in the garage or a parking lot to the open road. Both have 40 lbs air in both tires. 01 has Dunlop, 07 has Bridgestone tubeless tires. But there is more to it than handing, When I stop with the 07 at a light it stops straight as an arrow. The 01 is more difficult to balance for some unknown reason. In the turns/curves at highway speed, the 01 has to be pushed because it always wants to correct itself and stand upright. The 07 just loves them and allows a faster rate of speed with more confidence of the rider (me!). Transmission/drive train 07 - is much less noisy - in fact a very pleasant sound emanates from the powerful V4. I decided to put loud fishtail pipes on the 01 to distract from its annoying whining. the 07 shifts crisper and easier. The 07 engine seems to rev a little higher before the governor kicks in. Comfort About the same except that the 07 has better ergonomics in the shift & brake levers which are wider and more comfortable than the narrower 01's. Suspension 07 - feels better over the bumps, not much, but my wife & I noticed the difference when we rode the 07 again after riding the 01 for several monhs. Braking 07 - no squeak/squeal of the front brake and seems like less effort and a smoother stop than the 01. Keep in mind that there are only 500 more miles on the 01 than the 07!

Anybody got any ideas about what manual might be best to use when tackling my electrical problems? I've been on the Clymer website, where I see "Yamaha Royal Star, 1996-2003" Will this one do the trick? Or should I be looking for something that says "Venture"? Thanks for any help. mike

I hope I made the right decision here you all. I have been searching for 2 weeks now and finally decided. I wanted to hear rumble , but not have to wear ear plugs and wanted the slash cut and easy removable baffles. I think I made the right choice. And for everyones information out there, Dennis Kirk will match prices with anyone, saved me $67.00 by making a phone call to customer service. Also for everyones info, Vance and Hines does not make pipes for 2007 Royal Star Tour Deluxe or any Royal Star for that matter. This came from them after I e-mailed and ask the company directly. I heard that I would maybe have to unplug or plug off smog control ???? I hope I will be satisfied with the pipes ??? James -
Maybe somone has run across a rear Air Shock for a 1996 Royal Star ? A friend of mine has a 96 and the rear shock is the pitts. Anybody know of a replacement for the stock with an air shock?

I am interested if anyone has a set of rear view mirrors for an old school 1991 Yamaha Venture Royal. Bike Bandit has them but they are on the expensive side. Any other choices? Thanks Al

I took delivery of a new leftover 2007 Royal Star Venture. I am so pleased with this motorcycle. The Venture is my 21st Bike and I absolutly love this machine! Thanks Yamaha! Happy Venture Rider
