having a problem coming up with t-shirts for eureka springs. can't seem to get a comunication going with shirtz&things after a little phone tag i have emailed them. here is the problem. as recommended by allanh. i want to set it up where each member that wants them ,can order there size directly off their web site. this way i don't have to mess with shipping and i don't want to collect peoples money to pay for them. i am not wanting to have any kind of registration fee for this meet. i tried our only local t-shirt and graffics dealer but they have no website. if i can't get something going with shirtzn things this week i am going to give up on the t-shirt idea. i haven't got a design yet and to be honest i don't have a clue what i am doing when it comes to designing t-shirts. my sister is a profesional artist but has had some health problems so i don't want to burden her. if someone else wants to tackle the t-shirts and patches that knows what they are doing, have at it. i am in the process of getting a bunch of door prizes together for the guys and gals for the drawing. other than the t-shirt problem everything is coming together for a great meet and looks like we will have a good turnout. hope we have the weather we had last year. see you all there. bill

GOT UP THIS MORNING EARLY KNOWING TODAY IS THE DAY THAT TATERS, NEW MEMBER SPANKEYM, MYSELF AND TWO OF MY RIDING COMPANIONS PLANNED TO RIDE TO WATERLOO TO MEET UP WITH ANOTHER NEW MEMBER PJ BENNETLEPEL..(PHIL FOR SHORT) REASON....WELL AFTER FINDING OUT THAT PHIL IS A CARTOONIST,WE ALL DECIDED THAT MAYBE WE COULD TALK PHIL INTO DOING CARTOONS OF OURSELVES WITH OUR FAVORITE SCOOTS..SORRY PHIL THE CATS OUT OF THE BAG....SO AFTER MEETING PHIL FOR BREAKFAST...MAKING SURE HE WAS TOO STUFFED TO MOVE..WE SURROUNDED PHIL AND BEAT UP ON HIM TILL HE SAID HE WOULD DO THE DRAWINGS... SO WITH THAT SAID AND DONE AND AFTER PHIL TOOK SOME PICS OF OUR MUGS AND SCOOTS,HE WAS GRATIOUS TO OFFER TO TAKE THE FIVE OF US ON A TOUR OF SOME OF THE FINGER LAKES AND VINYARDS THAT SURROUND THEM...THANK YOU PHIL ..ITS JUST AMAZES ME THAT YOU CAN DIAL A PERFECT STRANGER ONE DAY..MEET HIM FOR A MEAL THE NEXT,AND BECAUSE OF A COMMOM BOND OF MOTORCYCLING END UP WITH A GREAT NEW FRIEND..THIS IS A GREAT SITE FILLED WITH GREAT PEOPLE...BUT WE ALL KNOW THAT ALREADY..DONT WE? Well taking a trip to Indian River Mi. Leaving morning of the 28th of June. I will be stopping in Birch Run at Tony's for lunch or Breakfast around 11:30-12:00 Noon. Looking to see if anyone wants to meet and greet and of course EAT. Everyone is welcome to meet or even ride up with me from Downriver area to have a eat and meet or for just a ride. I plan on leaving sharp at 9:00 AM. Joe

Our next meet and eat will be a great trip up to the Carson City / Tahoe area on June 21st. Final details about where we are meeting to ride up there are being worked out, but please mark your calendars and stay tuned for another great day on the road - and fun - with the wild and zany characters known as "NorCal VentureRiders". okay, this is a spur of the moment plea. going to ride to hannibal, mo. sat. june 14th for coffee and just look around and eat. leaving from st. charles,mo. about 10am and will be in hannibal about noon. any one that is interested in riding up with linda and me let me know or if anyone wants to meet us there let me know and we will make definate plans. we are going unless it rains. bill

We are riding down to spend the week on Tybee Island. We'll be leaving sat morning 6/7 and arriving (God Willing) sat afternoon. Anyone in the area who wants to get together for a meet and eat let me know and I will pm you my cell number!-Jack:cool10:

Ok folks let's get a heads up here on who's going to Freebirds on Saturday? 1. Who's going to go in the morning and come back that evening? 2. Time & place to meet up for the ride down? Im off to Freebirds in about 15 mins. Bike was checked out good yesterday and loaded so all I need to do is giddy up and go. Cant wait to see old freinds and meet new ones. Everyone rideing up ride safe and see you there.:banana:\ \ John

Today I met with stvmaier, Steve and his wife were real nice people. They are from Illinois passing through Mobile. We met at Ruby Tuesday and sat in airconditioning for a while to cool off and talk. Nice to meet other Venture riders from all over the US. Wish I was going their way on a ride like theirs, all the was to West Virginia then back to Illinois, must be nice!! tew47:bighug:

On Sunday after leaving the hotel in Huntsville riding to Huntsville, we met Yama Bama and his wife on University Drive and recognized each other! They were planning on meeting us for breakfast but a family matter came up. Maybe we can meet up the next time!!! So Sleeperhawk put out a quick post for an impromptu breakfast and Eck and Mrs. Eck along with Davecb were able to make it on Monday morning at the Cracker Barrel for breakfast! Also, my daughter, Jacque and grandson, Brock were able to get up early and come meet us. Brock remembered his buddy, Eck, from the previous meet and eat and somewhat accosted him. But Eck is still our friend, we hope! We had a great visit on a beautiful day! -
well no one has ever made a plea like this that i know of ,so here it goes. we have around 5,000 members on here, some just sit back and enjoy the benefit's. alot of us are doers. nothing wrong with that. but in my opinion we need more people around the two countries usa, and canada to sponser meet and eats. believe me folks they are more fun to get together than you can imagine, and a great chance to meet great people and help promote a great site. i love seeing people get together and have a great time. i enjoy putting on meets and attending them. it's not hard to do. if anyone wants to have a meet and eat but does'nt know how to do it just ask and i and many others would be glad to give you input. i know i could do one almost every weekend and never get tired of it. nice thing about meet and eats is the people that don't have alot of vacation can participate if they are close to home. so think about it and lets do it. bill :clap2:

Well living out here in Colorado, I don,t seem to have the opportunity to meet very many members, but today was my lucky day! I saw a thread by Wild Hair 39 talking about visiting Denver, so I let him know if he needed anything while here I would be willing to help. He did'nt need anything, but we did meet for Coffee this morning, What a Blast. Not good enough. While we were at coffee DNBoll was looking at Ventureriders and saw Wild Hair's thread and gave him a call. We were at coffee, so we invited him over and sure enough he droped in, COOL. Just your basic backyard BBQ.....Open to all VR members and their guests. No rides are planned unless we want to ride to the beach for some DQ. Bring your bathing suit for hot tub access......no nude swims, unless its all just wimmen and me.....LOL Ill need to know whos coming soon so I can see how much food I will need to get.

Well, I finally got to meet my first 2 forum members yesterday. After having spoken on the telephone a number of times, I finally got to meet dragerman and ummm dangit, I forgot his forum name, but Rob was there too! I decided to cut my lawns for the first time, the dirty looks from my neighbors were starting to get to me, so I fired up my lawnmower on one of the nicest days so far this year. Well after cutting the front, I decided to skip the back (who is looking in my backyard anyways?) and go for a ride. I called Charlie, and he was meeting up with Rob to do some work on the bike, but after some discussion decided to come riding, and Rob joined us as well. We met up in Milton, chatted for a while, looked at each others bikes, then hit the road for a quick trip to a little out of the way bakery, that I swear has the best sandwiches around. The ride was nice, short, but great company. Except for the numnuts kid who just had to squeeze between us, and ride up my ass, but I digress... It was really cool to meet some new riding buddies. We even met a Harley guy, who was out riding by himself (his Harley riding buddies were out buying oil, or fixing something) So I invited him to sit with us, and hang out for a bit. I had to bail, since I was working last night (hence the latenight post) and took my leave of Charlie and Rob. I hope to meet up with more of you at Carls on the 24th, and "maybe" even in Ohio, next month. Sorry no pictures this time, but next time for sure. Oh and if any local riders are going to the Yamaha Demo Ride later today (May 16) at Flamborough downs, look me up, I will be there promoting the B.E.A.T Cancer ride at the event. Cheers! Sonny
