  1. Nominee for father and husband of the year, I'm sure.
  2. Wow, that doesn't sound like a fun procedure, good luck with everything. I've often wondered if I have something like a-fib also. I sometimes get a fluttering feeling in my chest, accompanied by a lightheaded feeling. I wonder how they diagnose it, since it doesn't happen all that often - maybe a couple of times a week, or so. Dale
  3. Very cool, Larry. Very cool, indeed. Dale
  4. That is truely frightening, Kerry. I'm glad you're ok, though. I was hoping to see you guys at venture west again this year, but I guess thats not going to happen. Too bad, but I guess it could have been so much worse. Dale
  5. Te voices in my head agree with all that has been said here.
  6. Great story, puc. If I ever have a breakdown while riding, I sure hope you are nearby. Dale.
  7. Very nice pictures. I'm jealous. I so want to get out and ride, but haven't had much of a chance lately. Oh well, summers coming. Dale
  8. I installed mine 2 years ago, and thankfully it went ok. I was so concerned about drilling into my trunk, that I must have measured 10 times, and as a final check, I had my wife look at it to see if it looks evenly spaced and straight to her. She is somewhat of a perfectionist, and if there was any noticeable flaw, she would have spotted it. I have seen some other brands on bikes, and I must say, the Yamaha ones look the best, In my humble opinion. Dale
  9. Hi all. As Venture West approaches, I need to prepare my bike with some creature comforts for the long ride, and I thought I would start with highway pegs. It seems like there are lots of styles to choose from, so I thought I'd get my fellow VR members opinion. I have already got the stabilizers that Carbon One makes, now I just need to "pick-a-peg". I also see there are different clamp sizes, and I'm not sure what size we need for a 2013 RSV. Any recommendations would be much appreciated. Thanks, Dale.
  10. Scott, even though I only met you once, at Venture West, last year, I consider you a friend and a very special person. I sure hope your health issues straighten out sooner than later. I would love to see you and Cheryl again at this years VW, if possible. Stay strong, my friend. Dale
  11. That's awesome! Looks expensive, though. I can't imagine how much that cost to develop.
  12. What a great idea. I just might check them out myself, as I often want to go for a cruise but my friends as not available. Dale
  13. When a black vehicle is clean, there is no better looking color, in my humble opinion. Keep'em clean and be proud! Dale.
  14. Wo, nice boat, Freebird. That one looks like it should come with a butler and maid. Dale
  15. A couple of years ago there was a story in the news about the ratio of income versus cost of living. I forget exactly how it was worded, but it was speaking of affordability. Vancouver was number one! Meaning the average income was low compared to house prices. This was not just in Canada, it was North America. I don't know how they do it. Dale
  16. I'd be more inclined to think the waves are caused by a $15 camera.
  17. That is absolutely horrible, Mike. I'm so sorry for your loss. Prayers sent. Dale
  18. I'd use the money for gas to get to Michigan and beg Cowpuc for a place to stay. Guaranteed entertainment spending time with that road warrior. The stories would be plentiful, I'm sure. Dale
  19. What a great commercial! I LOVE Corvettes, and have always loved them. They have been my absolute favorite car for as long as I can remember. I still hope to one day own one, but I'm ok with it if I dont. Perhaps it would equate to the old saying about never meeting your heroes, as you might be disappointed. Dale
  20. I second the ear plug suggestion. According to research, without hearing protection, we are damaging our hearing even with full faced helmets and fairings. I had some molded to my ears last year and love the comfort. Dale
  21. We've been having some major melting here the last few days. I hope it keeps up, but I'd be surprised if we don't get nailed by another blast of winter one more time this season. Dale
  22. For those of us who have not ridden in months, and wont be able to ride for another 6 or 7 more weeks, we would just like to say :bawling:.
  23. You would make a fine Canadian, Puc. Hang in there, it will melt..........................eventually! Dale.
  24. My brother in law has one, and he loves it. His bike is the reason I started looking for a bike for myself, after decades of going without. I do like the fuel injection, and all the nice, current accessories it came with - much more modern than my RSV. If I saw one for $8,000, I'd grab it. Dale
