  1. Hey Eddie, Could you post a jpeg of the item and the dimensions for those of us that are not familiar with the patch. I am sure I would buy one if I knew what you were talking about. Thank you for your help, John Krom (JJ)
  2. Hey YamaPapa, I own a Time Out and have traveled from Arizona through the South up to NY and back through the North into the South and home. Also, all over Arizona, flats and mountains. In Williamsburg, VA and the Catskill Mountains of NY I have ridden out three day rain storms with heavy winds and did not have a drop of water in the camper (buy the awning for a dry place to get in and out of the camper). I ride a 2007 RSV and have never had a problem riding or stopping (no trailer brakes either). I love the room in the Time Out and how it is off the ground. In the heavy rain I was in some of the other campers that have parts that sit on the ground would have had a lot of water on the floor inside as the water under my camper in Williamsburg didn't allow me to exit for one day due to flooding about 4 inches of water (the reach through into the cooler sure helped me eat, and drink that day and always carry a urinal just in case). The only drawback is the inside storage...you have to unload it to set it up. That is no big deal for me as I would never set up in the heavy rain I go to a motel. I would also never pack it while it is wet. I just wait for a dry day. I don't like being on the road in heavy weather and I can wait out the storms. That being said there is more room to live in this camper because of the design. I would never trade the storage room for the living space, especially if you get caught in a major weather system and have to spend time inside sitting in the chair with your feet up reading. I did get caught coming out of Cumberland, Maryland in a extremly heavy rain, but put on my emergency lights (buy the rear light bar for great visibility) and rode to the top of the mountain and then as I came down in West Va on the way to Kentucky, the rain went away. My Frog Gear rain suit kept me dry and everything stored inside and outside the camper was dry when I opened it up. By the way, if you go to the Time Out website, that is a picture of my camper on the opening page surrounded by cactus in Arizona's KOA in Mesa, AZ http://timeouttrailers.org/default.aspx I hope that answers a bunch of your questions if you have more feel free to ask. Good Riding and Good Luck with the camper, John
  3. Hello All, Can you use these easy release bolts with the Saddle Bag Trim Rails that go around the bottom of the hardbags? Thank you in advance for your knowledge. John
  4. Hi Scott, I have a battery tender and I added the connector leads to the battery so I could plug it in and unplug it when needed. That way you don't have to take the seat off all the time. You can find the battery tenders or the extra cables at http://www.batterytender.com/. Ride like this is your last day, John

  6. Hello to all riders, I would be interested in one. Regards, John
  7. I agree with the thoughts about the looks of the bike, but how come no shaft drive? I like my RSV and I don't want the belt. It is too bad they didn't think that one through. I am sure that Yamaha with have the bike of our dreams pretty soon. John
  8. Hello to you both, I live in Phoenix :scorched:and I would be glad to meet with you on your way through if you like. Let me know your personal email and I will give you my phone number. Give me an idea of your route as there are a couple of places in Texas that you should see and a couple of places to eat that should not be missed (Tex Mex). If you let me know how you are coming into Tucson (I-10 is the best) and how you will go through the state of Arizona, I will give you some great spots to see and some great ride routes to see them from. Let me know. Regards, John

  10. :7_6_3[1]:Hi George, I just returned from my 6000 mile plus round trip to NY from AZ pulling my Time Out Camper trailer. Everywhere I went people could not believe the room there is in this camper and the amenitys it offered. All of the camper is off the ground so heavy rain, like I had in Virginia and New York does not get in. Follow the directions that come with the trailer and seal the seams well and it will not let a drop in even during the heaviest rain. I pulled it with my RSV 2007 at freeway speeds and it never wobbled or swayed a bit. I had "bearing buddies" installed when I bought it and they greased the bearings all the way to NY. I pumped in some grease before I left NY and came all the way back with no problems and the tires hardly look like they have been used. This was the first time I have ever pulled a trailer with a motorcycle and I was very apprehensive at first. I did not have trailer brakes installed on my trailer. I took some parking lot practice before I left and obeyed the common sense rules of "trailering" and never had a problem. Even the truckers tend to give you some room and by the way when they went by me at 90 the trailer seemed to stabilize my bike and keep me from being buffetted all over the place. I highly reccommend this camper trailer. It is well made and very attractive. It weighs a bit more than the fiberglass models that are out there, but it is more economically priced and has more room plus the "off the ground" feature. I also believe that this helps the stability on the road. I hauled this trailer into some hellacious camping areas including over heavy gravel and over some pretty good holes in the road, so I know that it is well built. I bought all the bells and whistles on my Time Out and I suggest that anyone do the same, but you can buy the basic unit and add all the bells and whistles as you go. Here is the website and if you want to call them, you will find them very friendly and willing to answer all your questions. http://timeouttrailers.org/default.aspx I hope this information will help you make up your mind. I researched all the available campers before I bought this and I have not been disappointed. Regards, John
  11. :7_6_3[1]:Dear Sleepy, for your pain and that your ride is broken! At least you weren't really badly injured and rain is not always this forgiving. Money or Insurance will repair your ride like new. It looks like your recovery will take a little time for your hand, but we always learn something from a crash and at least you won't do that again. Remember :sign **** happens:so don't let it ruin your day and there are many of us out here that are here to support you . So get well soon and ride again soon! Regards, Jay Jay
  12. Hello Riders, I read about Avon Vemon tires on this site and when my original reat tire needed to be replaced after my trip to NY from AZ pulling my Time Out Camper, I bought a set and had them installed on my 07 RSV. I bought them from Bike Bandit and paid about $240.00 Delivered to my door in three days. The service and the assistance from their telephone sales department was excellent. The real news is the way the tires make the bike respond. The "top heavy" feeling at low speed is non-existent and at speed the tires handle more like a sport bike. There is no road noise whatsoever from this set of tires. I have just about got 100 miles on them for the break-in but the difference is absolutely nite and day over the Dunlops that were original equipment. I don't know about wear of course, but if it is not a good as the Dunlops (I got about 16,000 miles), I will take the lesser miles as opposed to the handling. I am sure that there are other tires out there, but your reccommendation on the Venoms sure have made my day. Thanks to Venture.org for the great information and making my Venture even better to ride than it was before! Jay Jay

  14. Good Day, Go look at a Magellan Crossover (2500T). Use this for all purposes by buying a RAM Mount. I used mine all across the US. I have seen refurbished for under $130.00 and new for under $300.00. Longest lasting battery (8 hours min) on the market but I plug mine into my RSV plug-in already on the bike. Just came back from over 6,500 miles across America and it found everything that I put in it. Only led me the wrong way when a highway was closed temporarily, and then it rerouted me automatically. Try finding Graceland in if you have never been to Memphis. I couldn't have gotten along without it. It also works on a boat and for hiking as well as your car and motorcycle. Has voice directions, mp3 and stores photographs. Saves your routes and you can create custom Points of Interest by programming it with your computer. Easy to see even in sunlight and waterproof to rx something or other (light rain was no problem). Check it out if you have never had one on your bike and then if you think it makes sense try a ZUMO for the exorbitant amount they charge for their bluetooth one. Easy Riding, John
  15. Hey Steve, Take a good rest and heal well and soon from the surgery. My prayers are for your speedy recovery. Everyone in New York State admired the grill on my RSV and we wouldn't know what to do without your skills and talents. John
  16. Great looking shirt and good concept. John
