  1. "allen bolts" ??? Is it different on an RSTD? coz mine are HEX NUTS on the RSV
  2. Can't help you with the lights but, something my wife and I do is have our own separate bank accounts, plus a joint account. All "common" expenses come from the joint account and each paycheque, we "pay ourselves" so when we want to buy something for ourselves (like a horse or a set of lights), it comes from our own money. That way, what she spends doesn't affect me. On second thought, why not go with lights like I did... a whole lot cheaper. [ame=http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=41827]New Lights - VentureRider.Org[/ame] EDIT: Now I think I didn't see something when I typed the above... you already spent "your" money and since she bought a horse, she can't lend you any.... ??????????
  3. Maybe it's time to go to the darkside??? I'm seriously considering that option for next spring.
  4. Put some weight in the back of the Ford and it's rear bumper would have been down to the ground ... could eliminate the ramp!
  5. It was a Ford originally but then a Chevvy came along and ate it (Chevs eat Fords) :rotf: :witch_brew:
  6. Here's another one that might be helpful (I haven't checked it out but someone could...) http://download.cnet.com/TinySpell/3000-2079_4-10507622.html
  7. Thanks for the clarification Possibly due to the design of the M/C tire versus the C/T ...
  8. OK then, if there is "probably no difference" .... how is it that you'd trust a plug in a car tire (on a motorcycle) and not a motorcycle tire?? Seems a little contradictory to me. (not razzin ya...just curious to know if there's a real difference)
  9. OK..dumb question(s) (since I've plugged my rear tire and rode several thousand miles on it) .... a) ... why'd ya junk it? ... and b) what is the difference between plugging a car tire (that's on a motorcycle) and a motorcycle tire?
  10. Several, including myself, have plugged the motorcycle tire as well.
  11. Let's keep this info away from the 1st genners ... maybe once we get this mod done, we'll be able to smoke 'em and leave them scratchin their heads ... like "how'd that 2nd gen take me so easily?" .. :rotf: Oh wait... am I admitting to something here? nnaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
  12. What's your tire pressure at BEFORE you go for a ride?
  13. Upon checking, it seems that these are shops that are authorized to perform service for BG related service contracts. It doesn not necessarilly mean that these shops carry the product line.
  14. heh... I been known to "eat some crow" at times but I never had to kill any first! :rotf:
  15. THANK YOU Brian .... you're much more diplomatic than I would have been had I posted what I originally typed.
  16. That may be true but isn't the maritimes 1/2 hour behind us out here in the west? EDIT: fyi ... there are 51 shops within 25 mile radius of me that supposedly carry the product.... looks like I have some phoning to do .
  17. I'm not a Harley rider but I gotta tell ya, I sure have this almost uncontrollable urge to stir this pot up! .....but I won't
  18. heh ... it's gonna be a loooooooooooong winter methinks .... I'm just gettin warmed up :D
  19. I was at a Kawasaki dealer a couple weekends ago chit-chatting with the owner about the new Voyager. My scoot was sitting outside, in plain view ... and he knew I rode in on it. He asked what year my ULTRA was.... :rotf:
  20. hey Brian... can I delete the thread??
  21. Save me the searching ... who are the shops?
  22. I think we're getting paranoid about this "political" thing....
  23. could be that my carbs are out of sync again. not too concerned about it at this time. the scoot is "down for the winter" now. I'll be doing maintenance prior to spring and will be syncing them. the popping doesn't really bother me anyhoo.
  24. Mine does too and it's even more noticeable since I took the baffles out.
  25. Try it after you're moving instead of from a dead stop...
