for checking the tongue weight. It is intended to use for weighting luggage but it works good. Even with the trailer loaded to the limit (when my wife overpacks) I try to keep the tongue weight as close to 30 #s. Sometimes it is a little higher but I will try to rearrange the weight to the back more to lower the tongue weight.

I checked with most of the places mentioned and we finally decided to spend some time in Corning also, so I booked rooms in Bath. Again thanks to everyone for your help. Bob

Our MTA group is headed for the Letchworth State Park in New York the weekend of July 16th. I have been looking for some place with 7 or 8 rooms available that don't cost an arm and a leg. Is there anyone here that may know of a good local place in the area (willing to ride 20-30 miles to get to the park) that is clean and reasonable. thanks, bob

connected their gps to the AUX circuit and been able to add another device at the same time. We are listening to these devices called walk abouts which basically are books on tape in one unit. when we plug one into the circuit, (I have split the circuit) with the gps connected, nothing works. I thought others were also doing this. Was I wrong? Bob

Becky and I will meet you there. We live in the area. Bob

But I am glad you agree with what I found out. I will be more carefull next time about asking questions you already know the answer to but just haven't thought to post yet. bob

I had asked yesterday what the back up fuse work for. Well I finally followed it through the wiring diagram. You will all be happy to know it fuses the audio and cb system. Sure enough without it, no radio or cb. Bob
-
so it's just a spare fuse and not a spare position in the fuse box. Bob
-
there is no access to the fuse holder to connect anything and the wiring goes right into the harness. I thought maybe someone had connected to this some place, if it is a spare. Bob

I blew a fuse for my passing lights, so I had the cover off the fuse box. there is a fuse in there marked "back up fuse" Since I don't have any back up lights, I am wondering what that fuse is connected to. I have the fuse pulled right now and everything still seems to be working Bob

but I have never had the Clearview. I worked with F4 when they were designing the windsheild and have had mine on for about a year. It does not scratch with normal cleaning and they do have choices as far as height and width. they elected not to get into the vents at this point but did concider the GW style vent as well as the round vents when initially developing the shield. I do not know if they are planning any vents in the near future. I got mine stock height but 2" wider on both sides and have been pleased with it. Bob

a couple of years ago. went in to pay for my gas and was in line behind a lady, gray hair, probably mid to upper 50' buying a pack of rolling papers. went outside to get on the bike a watched a guy go by same age group, long hair still driving a VW painted multiple colors. Brought back some fond memories. ( of things I am sure I saw when I was much younger... ya thats right. just things I saw) Bob

if you are setting up a new GPS. I guess it's a one time thing just in case the unit has been sitting on the shelf for awhile. Bob

I emailed back and forthe to the techs at Garmin for a week or so and finally sent them a screen print of the gps hard drive showing what files are loaded and showing that it is 100% full. Before that they responded well. since sending the screen prints I have heard nothing from them and have not had the time to persue it any further. the last email was around the 2nd or 3rd of Jan.

as far as the message goes I will just screen print it and drop it off to her. I know you would like her to know your true feelings and I wouldn't mind helping you out. Bob

Randy, Let Marcie know we are thinking about her. You both know how much life can through you a curve. We are hoping for the best for you both. Bob & Becky

Becky and I bough over pants in the spring. I have a pair with a seperate liner that wears like another pair of pants. The outer pants are mesh and the inner pants are waterproof. We wore them in temps ranging from 80 degrees (nevada dessert) down to 37 degrees (eastern sierras) and they worked great for all. Bob

What little bit we have looked into an Alaskian Cruise, we thought we would like the smaller boats better to get closer and into more places. For the benefit of everyone interested, do you need a close count to get pricing or can you do ball park pricing based on your past experience. I know someone who went the end of May because it was less expensive and really wasn't too bad. Prime time would be nice too. For us any kind of price range would be helpful. Bob

I will take 3 of them Don, Bob

Someone over on that forum checked with the sheriff where he was reported missing and either he himself or someone else wrote a check and used his credit card in Denver on Tuesday at a motorcycle dealership. That put him in Denver a day earlier than expected.

Anyone experience driveline lash?

try taking some of the play out of the throttle cable. It will make the acceleration between gears a lot smoother. don't make it tight. there has to be a little play. give it a try. if not you can alway put it back. the adjustment is right by your throttle. Bob -
There was a restaurant called "Horsefeathers" (I think) and their claim to fame was an open face reuban sandwich the way it was made at the first Worlds Fair in New York. It was pretty good! Bob

We do live in a great country. You got some nice pics. We went through that way this year and it is a great place to ride. Bob
