I am installing a CB on my scoot and need a wiring diagram of what wire is what on the CB unit ('86 and up) as well as the PTT/Channel switch assembly. I do not have the wiring assembly that goes with the CB installation so I need a schematic so I can hardwire the system. I know of at least one other member that may need the same information. Help!!!

Depending on what way you come up thru NY on your way to the falls, you may come real close to our place, Beer. Feel free to stop on in if you are near rt 16 and 39. We are one short mile from the corner...

That'll work too, but bungees are cheaper...

I don't think much of that info changed much from the '83, especially tire pressures. The power band should be between 4 to 6K but I'm sure someone else will have other ideas on that. I just shift when it feels like it's time, depending on whether I'm just cruising or in a hurry...

Should be worth 3K to 5K depending on condition and mileage. If he totals it ask for salvage rights as you can then either fix it or part it out... Remember, it's a big game. Insurance companies are NOT in business to give away money. They wil give you a very low offer. Don't be afraid to counter with a figure waaaay high as you can barter from there. Do NOT take the first offer. It can take days, weeks and even months to finally settle on a figure. Oh, my back! Oh, my neck!! Oh, my lawyer!!!

Remember to get off Interstate 90 at the Irving NY exit for cheap gas and smokes at the Indian reservation. Just travel north on 5 for about a block and you will find the place on the right at the corner where 5 and 20 splits and rt 438 comes in...

Or, just don't use any channel higher than 20...

I have another CB unit if you would like to swap out to see if that's where the problem is...

Ditto to what Carl said...

No, Brad, carefully read the description, the free beer is when you visit me, as in here! You may feel free to take the weekend off in your back yard whichever weekend you choose.

Just thought seeing as it's been a while since we had a contest, I'd start one. The contest is to guess which member is under the red helmet trying out a Can Am Spyder. Winner gets a weekend vacation in their own back yard (Food and drinks not included) as well as a free beer whenever they visit me. Actual member and family members involved in the photo not eligible for contest. Contest is over whenever someone actually guesses who it is (Hint: it is NOT me!).

We WERE going to stay at the Hampton, but just cancelled our reservation. We will be there Wednesday though in the cage. Hope to finally meet you in person, Don!

We use a system like that on some of our hydraulic schematics for some of the more complex actuators at work. Helps to figure out where the oil is going and where it's been...
