FED Ex guy came by today!!!!!

Good to hear you got your new goodies installed I may have a small window of opertunity after work today to put mine on. I really aught to just bite the bullet and do the fork springs as well. But don't want to drive the pickup at $4.00 a Gal for diesel. I figure it may take two to three evenings to do the seals and springs. The rack and hand wings should be less than an hour for both. -
No steam but a couple would run on kerosene. Now Diesel is the only way to go.

Those probes are connected to a device like a multimeter to test the moisture in a windrow of hay before you bale it

Thanks for the tip Eck. I was gonna use blue tape but I like your idea better. Makes good sense. I may not be working on it tommorow though gotta do aughta dos first. I need an mp3 thing for audio books ifn it will work for them. Currently load them in a Garmin, but who needs 2 GPS's on one bike. But I will use two on the Hard butt ride on the 21st. Gonna do my ss1k then. I can see that becoming a habit. With Dawns approval of course. -

Thanks Guys. Wing stuff has the rack and bag combo on sale for 99.99 with free shipping. the hand wings were full price. I would have thought with free shipping they would have sent it on a mule train. Not so three days from Ca. to Tx. stuff looks to be good quality lets see how long the chrome takes to show rust. As little as i wash the bike it prolly wont be long. -
Well I ain,t keepin up with Tom either, but look what the Fed ex guy dropped off today. Whoo, Whooo:cool10:

Put cobras on mine. 249.00 front 203.00 rear. amazing what different vendors will do. But the guy I got the front from knew I was in a bind with a ruined Dunlop, and he had it in stock. Ordered the rear from Cycle Gear and with mil. disc. Although the front I had mounted did the rear my self. Paid extra to get it mounted. Now as far as the cobras. First day to ride wet the other day. well, seemed kinda slick. Did not seem to hold the road like I remember the venom did on the venture. Jury still out. -

Controlling the wind on a Goldwing
Herb In Texas replied to Midrsv's topic in Honda Goldwing Tech Talk
I can't help much. I like the fact I can see over the shield. but in the winter I can definatly see the advantage to wind wings. Kuriakin (sp) even make a shield for behind the passenger chair. (Yes it is more than a seat, passenger has it better than the pilot). I can't speak to the effectivness of any of them tho. Tom is probably the go to guy on this one.- 20 replies

I am the 2nd dozen (24). I ain't been on in a while been to much going on. So much in fact my fork seals and front springs are still in the packages. Been ridin her any way rolled over 28 K yesterday. I do have avons front and back now. really handles good. Wish we could get some rain so I can see how they do on the wet stuff.

-5 talk about a short stack of buttons. BRRRR... I just might jump in the pickup at that. spossed to be around 18 tomorrow. But if it's dry I'll save my cash. Praise Dawn for getting me a tourmaster jacket this Cristmas. -5 hell might just walk. BRRR..
-
Were you the lone bike also?
-
The point is, no other bikes. I usually see a couple but none today. even my boss drove his pickup. I didn,t find any ice on the way, till I pulled up to the shop and put my foot down on a small spot of it, nearly dropped the bike. But I must admit it was kinda cold. But the bike averages 40 or so a gal. the pickup lucky to get 12, minor discomfort to save some cash, to me an even trade.

On my hour long comute I saw no other bikes. Seems odd to me.
