  1. tell me more about the infinity mirror making. I've seen them and always thought they were kinda cool. Saw some at Northern tool that you could use for markerlights on a truck or trailer. Thanks Herb:7_6_3[1]:
  2. You know it ain't about the doughnuts, they got the best coffe any where.
  3. But had to pony up more money. That was May 5th or so this past summer. I trades an 08 rsv for an 07 Goldwing. Now most of you will notice I slipped back a year and still paid more. BUT it is a wing. Im too lazy to read back and find the guys name that beat the wing in such a condicending manner but I will say this guy is plain full of it. The wing is by far a superior bike. aminitys not with standing (I got navi ABS air bag the whole shootin match) I have to agree with the other guy(again to lazy to read back) Its like comparing a caddie and corrola. Both nice in thier own right but uniquie none the less. What have I learned in the 6 or so months of wing ownership? Shoulda done it sooner. But the RSV was a price point buy. I had a real problem with the extra 7 grand in sticker. But now I know those 7 grand have real value. It just ain't about it being more expensive. It's about what you get in exchange. The GL1800 has been reserched and updated since its release date. they have had thier problems but the have also had their problems corrected. to date I have put 19k on the wing without so much as hicup same was true when I had a rsv no trouble. Tires and oil. Oh and a clutch at 60k but Yamaha warenteed it. no I have no beef with Yamaha they just don't build a wing. That said I love my wing but I also loved my Venture. Trade back? Not on a cold day in hell. How many of you want a former spouse back? Now get out and ride!
  4. Dawn hit a Buzzard a couplea weeks ago. Had to put a windshield in the Sunday truck.
  5. Im a donor@ www.hairclub.com:rotf::rotf: ( I figgered out the link thing)
  6. Must recind my offer of the Hitch. Gonna use it as a base to build one for the Wing. Sorry if I got your hopes up. Woulda been cheep. Like come and get it cheep. But after pricing the manufactured ones for the new bike I is gonna get out my weldin stuff again.. Like most things this ain't gonna be no step for a stepper.
  7. Most every small town on that route has a Dairy Queen. The oficial texas stop sign. DQ:7_6_3[1]:
  8. Yep. My clutch started to slip at 60k. Mama Yama replaced it under warrenty. also installed the PCW upgrade while they had it apart. I traded my Venture for a wing last week took the hitch off. I built it very similar to venture dads Make me an offer.
  9. Check out the 2010 Ride Around Texas. 3100 mile in 70 hours. I don't think Im able. But they have a 85 hour one I may just try! Google it I ain't smart enough to post a link.
  10. My wing is a week old today. I aint forgot I need to write a review/comparison. busy as hell have only rode the wing about 800 miles so far. but early voting is wing way ahead in the polls.
  11. jotted that stuff down and will try to make intelligent and concise comparisons.
  12. I plan to head that way this summer. If that comes true I will give you a shout.
  13. Good point. When I got home I had a little yellow butter fly that i had to comb out.
  14. Ok, you started it I have always had an adverse reaction to a Dodge. As a matter of fact I would rather have a sister in a whore house than a brother in a Dodge.
  15. Will do, but don't want to ruffle any feathers. Give me a week or ten days to get the feel of it and I will ppost up. (I even stutter when I type LOL). Any specific catigories you would like to hear about?
  16. I plan to stick around, kinda like you guy's
  17. I have often heard the same thing. Even Dawn Said I was too tall for a wing, I would not like it's seating position. Can't say that is true. Different yes, cramped and uncompfy no. But the truth will tell in awhile only put a few hundred on it so far.
  18. Found this sweet 07 with 932 miles (not a type o, nine hundred thirty two.) Rode two hours west on a Venture came back two Hours east on a Goldwing. Not to cast dispersions but the wing is a far superior ride. It has Nav ABS Air Bag the whole ball o wax. In the color I wanted to boot! Here is a pic of it on the show room floor. Needless to say in debt again. But if you want to dance you gotta pay the fidler. I'm happy with it Had them install a set of kurry arm rests for dawn while we were at it. Now got to go to Tractor supply for more horse shoes.
  19. Wing first Vision second
  20. I have kids of my own as I have boasted before. I know first hand how hard it can be to keep them from using "substances". Must go twice as hard for you considering the obvious goals your son has set for himself. Congratulations on raising a kid in this day and age where it is so easy to have a "better"life through chemicals. Again good on ya!
  21. I'll tade ya straight up for my 08 with 68578 miles complete with new Avons!
  22. I can relate to that. But you know my wolo air horn will make a fat chick drop a cell phone like it was hot. Just an observance I have had.
  23. I can live with the bike being stopped to make changes to the navi. I have a tough time hitting the "buttons" on the garmin when riding anyway. I really only change the display from time of day to miles to destination on the fly any way. every thing else is at a stadstill. There is a place in Dallas that rents Goldwings but for the weekend its around 500 after tax insurance enviro fees and all the other money grab bull crap. Better go on down to the dealer and demo one. Been putting it off long enough. Dawn has to work this Saturday so maybe next weekend. wonder how hard it will be to find a blue one. sounds like a google and a road trip is in order.
  24. Navi is the one I want with ABS in blue color I guess thats an 09 tho. around 22k here but I only been to one dealer.
  25. I have two hang ups with the Wing. First is cost, they cost a considerable bit more and the warenty is just two years. second, and this is the biggie, foot position. Seems that even with the highway boards on I can,t get "right". Dawn says we need to rent one for the weekend and ride the hair off it then we will know for sure. She seems to allways have the right answers.
