    just a quick check to see if anyone has an unused headset they are willing to let go. I am wanting to use a set as I cant hear the radio with my flip up helmet on. With the shorty helmet all is well. Just want to try it out and see if a headset is for me or if it will be better for me to just use earbuds with my mp3. Thanks in advance , David

    nope that mounting braket is for a first gen althoough you are missing the mounts that bolt to the sid eof the bike, if you need pics pm me and I'll send them to you. Thats what i have on my90 vr. The backrest itself is a little different from mine but that could be just a recoverd piece. David

    Have either of you guys rode with Muffinman. I have and I was in a cage at the time. I know for a fact he has the balls. If you dont believe him just take that BUsa of yours and find out for yourself. Now that being said I have been on a busa recently and I have to say I dont have the balls to run either one to their limits. David

    I pull the plastic and spray bathroom scrubing bubbles. Let sit a few minutes and then rinse.Not sure if it will hurt the plastic. But its not hard to pull the chin cowlind and sides. I DONT TAKE OFF THE ENTIRE FAIRINF JUST THE LOWER HALF. David

    didnt quite follow the technical side of that geaorge , but I bought a working tci out of an 88 and although it hooked wright up all it would do is turn the bike over. No spark. Mine is a 91 . Put in a tci from a 92 and she fired wright up. David

    somebody will chime in soon but i think the second gear prob was taken care of in 85. David

    90 -93 tci looks exactly the same with the same picups. Ask me how I know. Only diffewrence I've found is the sticker with the parts number is yellow on the 90-93 and black on the 837 84. David

    hey squid, just sent mmicarl a pm as to what my tci box of my 91 is doing. Muffinman has it at the present time but he was also sent a pm to turn it over to you guys for your testing. It does have a problem with not working the tach( thats how I ended up with one out of muffimans 92) but it would fire my bike and I wqas able to run it without the tach and it had a slight surge until you got it into the higher rpms. Hope it helps. Carl pm'd mer back and said he thought it would at least give you a starting poinbt. David

    hey matt ,just talked to muffinman and he said to get intouch with him and he has all the parts you would need for your bike. Get in touch with muffinman real quick as he is headed to iraq on the 15 th of july. Hope thgis helps. Jeff said to pm him prety quick. David

    I really do hope yopui can fix it but if you decide to part it out let me know, I would like a chance to purchase the cdi/tci box. Again hope it is a fixable thing. These are grat bikes and I would hate to have to see another one taken apart. Good luck, David

    Thats him and he is still in buisines . You guys are in luck though as he couldn't touch my bike as it was too new, His setup only worked until 89 or 90. good luck, David
