  1. Osama is dead! What is sad is that you just know that there is some American citizen that is going to say that he didn't deserve it. That is was just misunderstood.
  2. Mine did the same thing. Old gas from last Fall. I put half a can of Sea Foam in the tank, went for a 100 mile ride and now the bike is fine. I'm on a second tank of normal gas and still no popping. craigr
  3. I'm embarrassed to say I thought it was on the left side. Admittedly, I haven't done this in 30 years, but I could've sworn it was on the same side as the sprocket. BTW, I will read the instructions from this site before starting. Thanks for the replies.
  4. I am replacing the entire kit. I will do it with the bike on the stand I bought on this site. - though it just occurred to me, Since the kick stand is down when up in the air, will it be in the way? And, if there is little oil loss when the bike is on the kickstand, there shouldn't be any loss when the bike is standing straight up. Right?
  5. How much oil loss is there during a clutch replacement? 2nd question, how much time will it take me?
  6. Is Lake Placid pretty enough to spend the night or a few hours at or is it one of those places you just 'swing by & check out' on your way to somewhere?
  7. So with this software, can it tell you more than my $300 Garmin GPS? Can I upload the software into my Garmin? - I know nothing about this. craigr
  8. Wow, RedRider!! This is exactly what I am looking for. Thanks
  9. Well, I can't walk very far, so we usually spend the vast majority of our trips on the bike. So, other than the ships and visiting people, there won't be very much touristy things. craigr
  10. We have finally decided to head to the Northeast states this summer. We have already hit the western states and most of the Southeast states. We need to pick up the states North of D.C.. We are doing a benefit bike ride in July in Indianapolis, and decided that since we are going to be that far east (from Omaha), we might as well continue on from there. We are going to have to get Pass Cards so we can swing by Niagra Falls. Is there much reason to ride around there on the Canada side or is it better to take the U.S. Side to Maine? We figured to ride to Maine then take the eastern seaboard down to D.C., then head west towards home. I know that I want to stop somewhere to see an old sailing ship, one I can go onto and explore. I have always been fascinated by them. My wife thinks we can do this trip in 2 weeks easily. I just can't see it. Again, we are leaving Omaha, NE stopping in Indianapolis for a day then east to Maine, down to D.C. The westward to home. I say 3 weeks would be tight. What do you think?
  11. Drafting on a MAC!? What Prg would that be? I run AutoDesk AutoCAD all day long on Win XP. I didn't know MAC had CAD.
  12. It isn't legal where I am, but.... I have chronic pain and bought $100 worth a couple of years ago as an alternative to the narcotics which werent helping. I smoked it a couple of times and it only helped for a couple of hours, so I sold the remainder back to my friend. I really wish it would've helped. Craigr
  13. My wife and I took a Trike for a Test Ride last Spring. I just couldn't get used to the handling. And, she didn't like the way I was throwing her around from my quick movements of the handlebars. We only took it for 10 minutes or so. I've since heard that if we had taken it for a half hour or longer, that I would've learned how to handle it and wouldn't be throwing her around. Do Sidecars drive like trikes?
  14. As I said earlier, I LOVE my Bushtec, but I think the sidecar thing might have been a better choice. I doubt I will do the Trike thing, so I may have to start looking at sidecars, which to get and which to stay away from. I had an email or saw a link from this site a while ago about a sidecar that still allows the bike to lean some. This sounds better. craigr
  15. I messed up and bought a Bushtec Roadmaster Trailer. Don't get me wrong, the trailer is outstanding and worth every penny, but I wonder if I should've bought a side car instead. I have bad hips and realize that holding up our bike with our combined 400lbs is getting to be an issue. Since a Trike conversion is sooo expensive, I was thinking that if I had bought a sidecar rather than a trailer, I would've been better off for close to the same money. I could've hauled our extra luggage on long trips in the sidecar AND been able to take a 3rd passenger on short cruises! So, do you agree? Did I mess up?
  16. What are the clear extentions to the lowers? It looks like there is somthing between the highway pegs and the lowers?
  17. The Company I work for has a commercial security division. The systems we put in have quality cameras and are very coustmizable. The images are very clear and backlighting is very seldom an issue. The problem is that these small stations either can't afford ours or don't want to spend the money. It's just another case of you get what you pay for.
  18. What is the youtube link to this? I would like to email it to someone.
  19. Keep us informed of how this comes out. Craig's
  20. Have any of you had hip replacement and still ride your Venture? I'm wondering if the 800 lb. Bike with another 400 lbs on it is tough enough now. Should I wait until next winter to avoid screwing up this seasons riding? Craig's
  21. Honestly, I would LOVE to host people on their wY through Omaha, but would be afraid of being taken advantage of or theft from strangers. Don't any of you worry about this? I Honestly feel horrible for thinking this but you hear sooo many stories. (embarrassed)
  22. But it's Max speed is 55mph according to their web site. That eliminates it for bike trips. I'm sure there is a 'Fudge Factor' but I wouldn't chance it. You get what you pay for.
  23. I have a friend that has only lived in PA for a little over a year. He likes to tell stories sometimes. This past weekend he told me that in PA if you get a flat tire on your car or truck, you have to call a Tow Truck. He says that you are not allowed to change your own tire alongside the road. Then he tells me that you aren't allowed to wash your car at your own house. He said he got a ticket for washing his car in his driveway before work. He said if you want your car cleaned, you have to take it to a car wash. This all sounds ridiculous, but there ARE some strange laws out there. So, was he telling me a story?
  24. First, what is the AIS? Second, what is to be gained by plugging it?
