  1. Yeppers...we got snow again also. The parts finally came in for my old snow thrower. I've been out of town all week. Stopped by the John Deere dealer and picked up the parts on the way home and just got it put together again. Not that much snow though and it's just turning into a nasty mush now.

I just ordered from them for the first time. Just a button for the passenger push to talk switch. I've seen several posts here where people have used them and have seen no complaints. After I placed my order for the button, I got an email letting me know that it was not in stock and has been ordered. That's fine this time because it's not that I am in a big hurry for it. I do prefer sites that show the availability of an item BEFORE I place my order though.
  3. Yes, I made the name field and the city a requirement. If you don't want to include your real name, just choose a nickname. It just makes it much easier to get to know folks if you can refer to them as Bob, Don, Tom, Tex, Sleepy....whatever instead of having to refer to somebody as midnightridingbiker233380 or something like that. If you don't feel comfortable including your real name, just use a nickname that you are OK with.
  4. Yes, I made "name" a required field the same time that I did "city".
  5. Just to let you all know, the user that I was questioning has been banned for spamming and the two posts that he made here have been deleted.
  6. Just curious, are you associated with them in any way?
  7. hmmm....I haven't seen the shark fin antennas except on some cars that come factory equipped with them.
  8. OK you big cry baby. City is now a required field for any new registrants. BUT...remember..only supporting members have access to the members list so they actually do not have access to your information. I agree though, people should include their city.
  9. I sincerely hurt for you and your family. I can only imagine the emotional turmoil that you must all be going through. I can promise you that you are in our prayers also.
  10. I bought mine from Jake Wilson. Just click their banner at the upper right of the forum...refresh the page until you see it. When you get to their site, do a search for "clutch tool". It will come up a the top of the list and is $15.99. Don
  11. I'm sure you did fine. I don't know that they have the best prices so I didn't say anything, I should have though. Sorry about that. I have actually seen them a few places cheaper but the reviews on those places weren't usually that good. Heck, you only paid $14.00 more...that's not bad.
  12. I've bought my last two Garmins from PCNation and they have always been great to deal with.
  13. Open carry has been legal in Arizona for a LONG time I think. I was out there often on business about 10 and more years ago and it was not unusual to see a sidearm strapped to the side of a motorcycle in the Phoenix area. I have no use for a rig like that but it sure looks good.
  14. Heck George, I can't imagine that anybody within this group would do something like that. Besides, I get the feeling that SOME folks around here have already been bopped on the head a few times too many.
  15. I'm sorry that I don't have any specific recommendations for you but the auto parts stores have a number of products that are specifically designed to remove scratches. I've not used them so am not much help. Any good detail shop should be able to help also.
  16. Good luck. I needed one a couple of years ago and ended up finally finding a single rail on Ebay off a wrecked bike that I was able to buy CHEAP just to get that part.
  17. Yes, I knew you were but I was just afraid that SOMEBODY might not have known you were. No problem.
  18. First the disclaimer...I have never done this. That being said, I wouldn't think that 150 degrees F would hurt anything at all. I would bet that the internal temps on these thing reach that high often on some of the hot 100-110 F days in the South.
  19. I just felt that I needed to respond to this. For those who have never been to one of my Maintenance Days. It is NOT a drunken festival. Yea, there are some folks who will sit around and have a few drinks in the late evening but I've NEVER seen anybody really staggering around drunk and there are no problems with folks over doing it. This is a family oriented event and such behavior would not be tolerated by me or most of the other members present.
  20. That appears to be a good number. Here is one link for it. http://www.boats.net/parts/detail/yamaha/Y-4XY-88157-00-00.html By the way, this thread reminded me that I needed to order one. Mine has been missing for at least a couple of years. My wife doesn't often use it but she has never even mentioned that it was gone. Apparently she just pushes on the threaded rod and thinks nothing of it. I just ordered one though.
  21. Glad you found the wiring diagrams. Don't hesitate to ask if you run into anything you need help with. These folks have seen pretty much everything when it comes to these biikes.
  22. HEY...if I tell everything I know all at once...you folks wouldn't need me any more. Actually...if I told everything I know...it would only take about 30 seconds.
  23. Folks, this thread IS in the "Jokes and Humor" forum. I see nothing at all wrong with it. Just as a reminder to anybody who doesn't like seeing it though, all you have to do is click on "thread tools" and then select "Ignore this thread". That goes for all threads in any area. If you see something that you would rather not have popping up, you can always "ignore" it. You can also go to your UserCP and the "Edit Options" and hide entire forums to your ignore list.
  24. I understand that the button is now available from the dealer. There are also other solutions. See this thread for several ideas. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=24840
