I have the barnett, and yes it looked pretty in the box, and on the bike http://thumb8.webshots.net/t/76/176/9/50/85/2393950850096516608NCNwNu_th.jpg I put it on, followed the instructions, replaced the gasket with an OEM, I have ridden about 200 miles on it so far with no issues. Going to do about 1,000 this weekend, so wish me luck. I did not notice any real difference in the clutch pull, but I did notice that the clutch did stop slipping. I replaced the friction plates, but not the clutch plates (should have bought the whole kit), but the plates still had the dimples and looked good. 48k miles on the OEM. Good luck, as long as it fixes your issue and you are happy with the result, I consider it a success!!

Raising the Titanic

I also have a '05RSTD, and a sears lift. What I did was order the K&L Royal Star bracket (KL Part 35-0820) and place it on 1x4s and it works really well. I am changing out the coolant this weekend, and I will try and post some pics. Now when you order it, they will ask if you have a K&L lift (so I ordered online, since they were not intereted in selling it without the lift. -
I have a 2003 Kawasaki Concours (Sport Tour) and a Royal Star Tour Deluxe. The wife does not like the Connie nearly as much as the Tour Deluxe, and the cruise control is a MUST on long trips! Now, when I purchased the Tour Deluxe in 2006, I did not have a wife, so if I had, I am sure that I would have gone Venture! I really wish I had a trunk / fairing on the RSTD, and I added an aftermarket (J&M) CB/Intercom.

Planning a trip BEFORE Sturgis

If by off the wall you mean a bunch of cars stacked up in the same arrangement as stonehenge, then stop in Alliance, NE on the way up (if you are in that neck of the woods) http://inlinethumb21.webshots.com/42580/2601574270096516608S425x425Q85.jpg http://www.carhenge.com/ -
Mustang or Corbin Seat
MizzouMike73 replied to viragofan's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
I love the Mustang, but I will say it did seem to take a little time for the wife to get used to the rear seat. After about 1,000 miles or so, I doubt she will go back now... -
I also did a June run. The weather was warm, but not unbearable and it was some of the best riding I have ever experienced.

Stebel air horn bracket
MizzouMike73 replied to Carbon_One's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
WOW, what a great way to mount the horn! I have been agonizing over how I was going to do this for a few weeks, now. The bracket showed up, and the horn was mounted and functioning within 30 minutes! Thanks for the great product, it looks and works great.
