  1. Even more wiser......Carry a extra set of jeans and baby wipes!
  2. You got it. If this thing does not work well I will find or make something that will work.
  3. Check the Tech Library here on the Site. Everything you need to know is there complete with pictures. Enjoy your 4-2-4's.....I love mine! Between them and my tunes I don't hear the Venture "whine".....and most riders will stay off your tailend for sure!
  4. I have the Garmin nuvi 350 with the same antenna set up as yours. The outfit claims that this product will work with that setup. They also state that you can cut the shield as needed to fit your GPS. I ordered one for my GPS. Soon as it gets here I'll post a report on it and how it works.
  5. Yep....Hard way to learn not to trust a fart.....
  6. I put the 4-2-4's on my 06 Midnight Venture last year. Great sounding pipes to be sure. After a bit of hard running they get really LOUD. They will hear you coming and going for sure! No re-jet is required and the pipes are easy to install once you get the saddlebags out of the way. I installed NGK Iridium plugs and did the carb sync as well. I also blocked off the AIS system=this will eliminate most of the back-firing and popping very nicely. If you ride 2UP I would suggest a nice set of ear plugs for your passenger! Note: Keep your stock pipes! At the rate things are going many States may require MC's to be inspected yearly for Emissions/Lights/Exhaust. Just another way to fleece $$$$ from us IMHO.
  7. Good luck on those heated grips George. I have heard more bad than good about them and will stick with the heated gloves.
  8. Old is when you know where every public bathroom is within a 300 mile radius from your house.
  9. Santa brought me the Garmin nuvi 350 for Christmas. I used it on the scoot yesterday for the 1st time and I am very happy with it. I can't hear the voice prompts because of the tunes and Barons pipes but that's no big deal for me. The 3.5 inch screen is very easy to see/read thanks to the Ram Mount locating the unit near my clutch handle. One thing I noticed was that my sunglasses made the screen viewing a bit difficult. I have a snap down sunscreen on my helmet tho and when using just that I had no difficulty in viewing the screen details at all. Amazon.com had the cheapest price for this unit. Shipped fast and I had the unit in 3 days just before Christmas. There are so darn many of these GPS units out there it really is difficult to decide which to buy! I just don't want to get lost when I go out of State and hopefully those days are behind me with this Garmin GPS.
  10. Same thing going on here. 42F now at 9AM and the overnight rain has melted off nearly all of the 20+ inches of snow we had all over the place. The weather guessers say sunshine for Sunday and I am rounding up riders for at least a 5 hour ride....with lunch and ice cream!
  11. For those who have difficulty seeing your GPS screen on bright sunny days this may help...........My ....... http://www.glarestomper.com/
  12. LMAO! It is more fun to tell the uninformed wannabe bikers that you are driving a Harley Venture.........
  13. Me! The temp was a coolish 40F....roads were clear and dry. The ride lasted over 3 hours. Not much traffic to speak of. Tomorrow looks to be the same except temp down to 35F. The bike is gassed up and ready to go..........
  14. I'm a fanatic when it comes to oil/plug changes. New plugs(NGK Iridiums as well) every 6 months and oil change every 5K with synthetic oil. The scoot loves it and I have peace of mind.
  15. Done also. Good luck to Dad and son!
  16. Invest in a good quality tire repair kit! Don't ask me how I know this.

My 06 whined a bit when I first got it. Switching to synthetic oil and Baron's Nasty Boy pipes wipes out the whine enough for me. My Dealer has offered to change the clutch basket but I am not inclined to go that route. The guy does enough for me as is...........
  18. I have one and it is a large unit. I put it in my truck and it performs great. Bought mine off E-bay for $125. Took less than 5 minutes to set up right out of the box. Very user-friendly! None of these GPS units like really cold temps so I keep mine in the house....once the truck is warmed up I just plug in the unit and go. Note: the SP 2720 comes with a bean bag mount for vehicles. You will have to purchase a Ram Mount to put this on your scoot.
