Bubber that's what we have VR Assistance for...... Boomer....who sez he can train the pygmies into being one hell of a Jail busting group of little devils too....
-
Thanks for the advice RR....I'll do that right after I double-check the position of the Tool Kit. Ride safe buddy!! Boomer....who sez good advice is easy to spot and appreciate.
-
LMAO!!! I have never claimed to know everything about my Venture. It's nice to know that the experts here are willing to help and offer up a good helping of sarcasm and humor as well...... Boomer....who sez the Tool Kit was the very 1st thing I checked when I ran out of gas on the I-49 and had cars/trucks whizzing by at 75mph.....
-
Sounds good....then I saw the pic of her....I'm older than dirt and that gal can certainly do better for herself than me. Boomer.....who loved riding in Texas.....especially Liberty,Texas.....
-
I'm not gonna lose sleep about it. Sooner or later I will be at Squid & Lonna's and will trouble-shoot it then. We recently cleaned and greased all the electrical connections in the front Fairing.....never touched the ones under the gas tank tho....sigh. Boomer.....waiting on the Southern Gang to get together for some fun times and cheesecake.
-
I hope you get the old gal fixed and enjoy many travel free miles on her !!! Boomer.....who will be looking to put a 1st Gen in the stable next year.....or sooner if I hit that darn Powerball.
-
Don't know if this the same for all Ventures but on MINE it sure is.... Filled the gas tank yesterday and put the gas petcock to Reserve. I normally switch it back th Normal after 25-30 miles. I do this because I don't want any gunk build-up in the petcock and this also ensures that I have good flow.... Well today I found out that with the petcock in the Reserve position the Low Fuel Light does NOT come on and the Trip odometer does NOT warn of impending Low Fuel as it does NOT zero out. Luckily for me when I ran out of gas I was able to slap the bike over onto its kickstand and get enough gas to the left side of the tank.....which enabled me to haul a$$ to the nearest Exit and Gas Station. Boomer....who sez ya gotta remember ALL the steps of any procedure ya use....even when it comes to thumping on the pygmies during periods of cheesecake withdrawal.
-
I have the Bubs.....shoot me the info I need and they will be sent out my friend. My best to you and Rhonda! Boomer.....who sez ya can never have enough crazy friends jest in case the pygmies revolt.
-
On the surface it sounds good....but beware of the fine print and comditions! Checking with the Better Business Bureau and other sources is something you should do as well. Tread carefully....your Home is at stake! Boomer.....who has never seen a Bank or Financial Institution do a darn thing for anyone unless there was something for them to gain from it.
-
Watch yer speed carefully when yer running on the Slabs in Noo England.....some of the rookie State Police are very ticket happy.... Boomer.....who sez ride safe, enjoy the trip, and don't pick up any hitch-hiking pygmies.
-
I rode for years all over Noo England with nothing more than a small piece of reflectorized white tape on the back of my helmet and never had any problems with LEO's. The helmet laws are enforced up there but the LEO's won't hassel you for the stuff on the helmet....they are far too busy to bother with that nickle-dime stuff. Boomer.....who sez ya oughtta wait till Fall to do Noo England....when the colors come into those trees you'll be amazed at what God's paintbrush can do.
-
I'd be happy to just ride around the Country meeting all the great members we have here. Boomer....who thinks teaming up with Bubber would be good for us but would raise havoc with the peasants.

Battery keeps dying in the garage...
BoomerCPO replied to Semi-retired's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
When I lived in Noo England I would keep a Battery Tender on 24/7. Cheap price to pay to keep the bike ready for a ride when the roads/weather turned clear. I put an Odessey battery in 1 1/2 years ago and THAT battery is far superior to the regular MC batteries on the market. If that regular battery is 2 years or older I'd dump it and slap a new one in....and keep that Battery Tender on the pup when yer not riding. Boomer.....who's outta the frozen North and riding the flatlands of Loozeeanner selling pygmies, chasing wimmen, and fighting cheesecake withdrawal. -
The Missions are still going forward. Most of the States have a back up e-mail system for Mission Notifications. Efforts are underway to track down the culprit/s courtesy of special LEO contacts. Boomer....who can't really say what he'd like to do to the jerks who made the mess as this is a PG Site.
-
A friend of my Cousin (who is also a LEO) is yapping at me to go on a blind date with a lady he knows. Boomer.....who sez fat chance he's gonna trust some flatfoot with a rusty gun !! ps: If you ain't drunk you don't fit into that special category of red-headed wimmen. LOL
-
Don't step on your chicken feathers running away Bubber !! LOL Boomer.....who wonders if Bubber scratches in the dirt with his feet too.....
-
Well dang ....I meant to say REALLY RED HEADED WIMMEN....The kind that look like a Fire Engine bearing down on you....with no brakes.....lol Boomer.....who's gonna back away from this very carefully now.....
-
I never tasted Bar-B-Q dinosaur before....Can ya trailer one of them rascals to Texas and give them Venture-riding cowboys a shot at it??? Boomer....who loves hanging with the meat eaters and cheesecake fanatics.

Clutch upgrade...no so upgraded
BoomerCPO replied to Royal Venturer's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Thanks Brad....I knew you'd jump in heah and put the right words out. Boomer....who's fighting off the craving fer cheesecake by beating the pygmies with a big stick......durn ankle-biters. -
Clutch upgrade...no so upgraded
BoomerCPO replied to Royal Venturer's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Near as I can remember that is exactly what Kbran did on the install for my scoot. Check with him and Squid for further details just to be sure... Boomer.....hoping the best for ya on this clutch issue. -
Clutch upgrade...no so upgraded
BoomerCPO replied to Royal Venturer's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
I got the weaker spring from SkyDoc with my Kit but Kbran simply doubled up the springs and the scoot comes off the line like she was shot out of a cannon. The clutch lever is tight but I shortly got used to that quick. Boomer....who sez drinking beer wiff both hands develops a purty good grip for either wimmen or beer. -
Yer prolly right about that. After seeing Kbran run the Bogalusa Twisties on his 1st Gen I could see where that Maytag could get me to Heaven's Gate a lot sooner than I wanted to go. Boomer.....who stays away frum drunken red-headed wimmen too.
-
I have run through hell for the past 9 years. My scoot is the only thing that really helped me navigate a road full of potholes and heartache. The bike kept me sane and brought me back to God. I'd rather be alone than be with a woman who would ask me to walk away from my bike. And if I die out there on the asphalt it don't bother me....after coming back to the world from Nam I have always felt that every day the Lord gave me was just icing on the cake so to speak. I may not turn out to be the greatest Angel in Heaven but I do believe mah sense of humor will hold me in good stead and keep me outta that eternal Bar-B-Q pit where that other fellar lives. Boomer....holding fast and riding hard....and never riding faster than his Guardian Angel can fly.
-
LOL! I had to think about that BI thing fer a bit myself. Boomer.....who always thought wimmen like that was just over-active and it meant there would always be beer in the refrigerator.....
-
I get into enuff trouble right here....don't need to go pooching around the Internet looking for more! Boomer....who's not too keen on letting the FBI know where the hell he is on any given day.
