  1. I love my Zumo...... well worth what ever you pay but always better to get cheaper
  2. Oh my Beautiful State. I hail from southern Delaware. About 26 miles from Dover, between a Half hour to 45 minute drive, 'pending on traffic. Well as far as One Car stables, it because any home over about 20 years old only had one car and a pick up. and both stayed outside while the Garage stored all the junk. You may find a few older smaller places in less desirable places for that price, but your looking at closer to 275K and up for something nice. if your looking for nice towns with that home town feel I would stay south and west of Rt13. I had a nice ride into DC for the 25th Anniversary of the Wall... A nice brisk ride this AM with a little drizzle. And we have some real good riding in theses parts.
  3. I just ordered mine, was on the front page at the top....kinda blends in with everything else on the page. we shall see how long it takes, and there is a foot note durning the ordering that states some shipping to other countrys will have some charges.
  4. Thank you very much but, my 2nd Gen loves the hills and twisties, and I find her to be a powerhouse and the handling greatly improved with a new set of tires. I would even venture to say that I could stay right on the tail side of any 1st gen out there and if not, i would just go around and meet them at the end of the road!
  5. quote BOB. you might want to explain, to some of our southern members, what "scrapple", is, and that it is NOT related to any part of an apple! lol i almost got suckered into eating some of that "grey spam", looking stuff! as one of my delmarva friends said, you can't spell it with out putting "CRAP, in it! just jt Well for anyone that really cares, And I find most people will knock it and wont even try it, but, Scrapple is made from all the scraps left over from butchering of a hog. I like to say it has everything but the Squeel in it. Depending on who makes it, there can be a lot of filler (corn meal ) but fried up and ate in the morning its a good start for those of us that live on Delmarva. Its fried crispy on the outside and is soft on the inside. the taste is kinda hard to describe, but i can say it doesnt taste anything like Chicken. And a scrapple , egg and cheese sandwhich beats the hell outta anything Micky dees has on their breakfast menu............
  6. I live in Bridgeville Delaware, we have some great riding around theses parts, mostly flat but some nice roads. Our town hold and Apple Scrapple Fest in Oct, and this weekend the World Famous Pumpkin Chunk is being held.
  7. Oh the Joys of running a Business........ Or the ones that feel they dont need to pay a service call? will pay labor and parts but you cannt charge them a service call..... Take Money orders only and you will be fine.... In 12 years I have only had 2 bad checks, and they pay them a few days after being told their checks didnt clear.
  8. It shouldnt take that long to get it done, but I think more and more shops are hiring wantta b's to work on theses things. I had an 8000 mile service done on mine along with the tires changed and the rear splines and hub greased and realined, and it only took them two days, but had to take it back because the front wheel was on backwards. And no new Plugs, the guy said they looked good....... I cannt win for loosing, cause i have another dealer around but they wont get the bike in and out because i didnt buy from them. If i hadnt already pre paid for maintaince I would be doing it on my own. And that is still an option
  9. Thing is like most of you guys on here I'm a member of the PGR, and Being State Captain I tend to ride a lot, so i dont need any more head aches over some morons silly mistake. I think its about time for me to have a pow wow and come to Jesus meeting with the owner. This isnt the first screw up they have made. Do i like the bike, I love it, would I buy another one More then likely if they get Fuel Injection. Would this Dealer get the sale.............................. ROFLMAOPIMP................... they would have to come about 360* and make sure they are dead on track.
  10. Thats just it... No one can tell me if its right or wrong. The tire was in the right direction, it was the rim that wasnt. Was at one time a speedo cable tied into the front wheel, and thats why it is stamped on the rim... or is there another reason.
  11. :detective:Well took the old gal in for her 8K service, and decided to replace the OEM tires, back one was getting that flat look and the tread was almost down to the wear indicators. It was like a last minute thought while i was there, and had to take what they had if i wanted to ride, this past weekend. Well i got the M880and will se for my self what happens. Anyway, i get home and park the bike, the 40 mile ride was really great bike handled a whol lot better. We after an Earlie morning No A/C service call I go around back to clean baby up for a ride and just happened to look at the front tire, to see what date code was on it, no biggie 2107 pretty new there, so im happy, then i take notice of a rotation arrow on the Rim, its pointing up, and the tire rotation is pointing down.... wheels turning in my head, like ok what isnt right here.... well the rim was put back on backwards... Needless to say i came unglued, and called the dealers service dept. . Now my feeling is Yamaha didnt go through the casting trouble for nothing, so it should be installed the right way with the arrow going in the forward direction of the bike. ... I was told it was ok, and that it was on there for speedo reasons, because that rim is used on other bikes. and that it was ok to ride like that. He couldnt change it because no mechanic was there to do that til tuesday. I was still leary and said there goes my weekend, or something like that, He then said hold on a second and it was like seconds and he was talking to some one, and when he came back he told me to bring the bike right up and they would change it. Now is there any concern with the rim? while in the show room i did go check out another Royal star, it was the Tour delux and the rim marking was in the right direction. Any thoughts.......
  12. they can be fined for having a reading that would be higher then the true speed. My understanding is that is why the speedo reads faster then the true speed of the bike. Something to do with some Government thing. Hell I just ride em, I dont build em.
  13. For what it is worth, the error in a speedo is because if it is slow and you get popped for speeding it can fall back on the manufacture. these things Ive been told are tested and if its found that a speedo reads slower then the actual speed the Manufacture can be fined.
  14. I bought two of them in june, My wife likes hers but i hate mine, its hot and rubs the front of my head and squeezes my jaw. It wasnt that bad just trying it on. Maybe if i could get the foam in the front shaved off that would help. I bought the biggest one they make. and I cannot feel any are movement in mine. Got them from Cromeworld.com, but since i live right down the road i just go to their show room. they where just a tad over $100. . I do like my shorty tho. Looking to get a new one with Head set, built in if i can find one.
  15. Just goes to show you how differant each one is. I have had the F come up on the Dash and have seen my low fuel light. and havent switched the fuel valve yet. when i first got the bike, it would come on and only hold 3.6 gal. now i can go 160- 182 with out the light coming on and still havent put more then 4.5 gal in the tank. I have stopped checking Gas mileage, I figure Im enjoying the ride and what ever Im using if fuel is what its going to be. I do know that the ethanol (10%) doent get as good mileage as straight gas. And I do run Premium in her.
  16. Oh goodie, now i have something to try..... So it will go faster in 4th then in 5th.... I know when I am on a highway, i will run in 5th and try to stay in 5th as long as i can, but find 4th to be real good when cruising along and need power. Since May all i have on her is 1900 miles, I hope to put some road under her next week when i take her to the blue ridge and WV.
  17. I love my draggon jeans
