  1. I just don't want to be out in the middle of nowhere, and the bike not start. BIGGEST FEAR!!!!!
  2. Is there an easier way to get that Back R/R bolt to go into the hole? Geeez, Two hours of skin grinding, before it went in., My fingers are now dyslexic:doh:
  3. tested the battery before starting 12.7 after warming up 12.8 to 13.7 RPM's to 2000 14.8
  4. meter to "Diode Test" red to ground on thr R/R I got #1 488 #2 488 #3 490
  5. ran bike out to 4000 rpm, all three connections showing 100+
  6. okay, I did a AC test, and all three pins are showing 26.7 to 28 Volts Thank Bob. what's next?
  7. 17 degrees, was the coldest, but having a second bike (Yamaha 250), I would do polar bear rides on that, changed out the tires for knobbies:biker:
  8. Turned meter to OHM 200 @ (20 there was no reading) the R/R @ 1-2 1-3 & 2-3 all showed 1.6 ohms (the 2.0) the second time no loose pins & wiring was clean,, no burnt pins
  9. is there a picture showing where the ground wire is for the R/R ? I have the gas tank off, and I understand its on the right side of the bike near he neck. do I have to remove the other plastic plate, wrapped around the ignition? Just checking, for a lose ground
  10. this is something I just can't get started, I had one made last year, but it was too heavy. I'm reviewing, very lite weight materials, and want to finish with something like this
  11. You know there are TWO fuses that affect the audio system right? One is under the cover on the left side and the other is inside the lower right cowling. Have you checked them both? also under the fairing, all the major cables are connected there. ( Have the fairing split recently?)

  13. I received my speakers yesterday, they look pretty cool (Polk) I also bought longer bolts and spacers for the driving lights, I hate taking them Things off everytime I remove the Fairing. Sunday I'll take pictures of the work.
  14. traveling, I find I like to stop after 300 miles, I pull off in a rest area, away from all the cars, and pull out the folding beach chair, and take a nap next to the bike for an hour or two, then finish my days ride. I travel slow with the trailer on, 60-65, But I ride as long as there is daylight. I carry and small tent & Tarp, for rainy days. more food than I need, and a small camp stove & sterno's for cooking fuel

  22. I carry a plastic bag, with magnets on each corner, Its attached the the gas tank, with, a few sandwiches in it, a small cooler with 6 sodas on the back seat ( easy to reach)
  23. I carry every tool that I have used on the bike. even a grease gun for the trailer grease jukes. air compressor, tire plugs, and two LED flashlights, for those hard to see area's. But I also write down all the bike shops on my route, or what's close by, including Hospitals. I never use small county roads, and I don't ride the super slab, & I always carry more food and water then I need.
  24. But if you just can't help yourselves, and need to bust on a bike or rider, then go to the story game, "Its just that all good fun".
  25. So, Now I have to go all the way to Clear Water to visit you, when you live 1 hour up the road now??? I'm:confused24:
