  1. The local watering hole (Victoria Hotel) was taken over by about 40 Red Devils last weekend, but I didn't have the balls (or lack of brains) in order to join in for a pic! I think I'll keep on looking .....
  2. Under the Main Menu section on the left hand side is a part called Venture Sightings, you can pin point your sightings in the hope of finding the owner. If you wish.
  3. Thanks a lot Don, makes me feel good to make a contribution to the site!!
  4. Merci!!! Hit the one in St. Kitts and scored 3 sponges ($8), they did have a ton of the small set (little soap and 3 use sponge) for $8, had about 30 of them left. But no big soap bottles.
  5. I have one sponge left, but alas, no soap! Has anyone tried a different brand of soap in the unit that WORKED???.... I plugged up an old unit with TurtleWax Soap. I also looked into this for a while now, and if you contact P&G they say "heres a list of our other products to use", NO car wash cleaner though to substitute. I agree (because I USED it and KNOW how great it WAS) I'm pi**ed too!!
  6. No problem Don..... Whenever you get a chance.
  7. I have not tried them myself, player works great through the RSV stereo, but I have seen Volume Amplifier apps for a buck... just a suggestion.
  8. Peaks and Valleys ….. We got new windows installed (living room bay ---beauty, kitchen and dining room and one in the laundry room) and front and back doors. Happy has hell with the results, finished Tuesday at 4pm. Look great!! PEAK!! The guy doing the front door shows me a small sinkhole in the front porch… I’m like WTF, upon discovery it is the water main leaking upon entry to the Chateau. Have to rip up the porch and lawn to replace 40 yr old line. Seems like every second house has this problem lately. Get about a $G quote from local guy, IF I do the repair to the porch, He’ll pack the gravel and screening and thinks he can come under the retaining wall. So he digs, replaces line and repacks for a grand!! VALLEY!!! I figure screw this…. Insurance! I can hear the water running under there plain as day, what is it doing? … in case there is more damage. First we start out with “sorry sir not covered BS” but I talk to supervisor and quote section & paragraph of policy (35a)…. They send out contractor. They WILL cover excavating and refill, porch repair but NOT pipe replacement. Of course minus my $400 deductible. Contractor guy was from Paris, had a little chat about motorcycles and Paris cafes (we’re buds) then he tells me he is going to send them in a quote of about …. Hold on …. $4000 - $5000. So if I can get the local guy to make up a estimate of what he would charge for doing the porch repair too, send that in and hopefully I at least get my $$ back from these criminals …. Not covered ????…. Hello, sinkhole here!! Cant quite call it a PEAK …. But we are looking uphill!! Did you feel this earthquake? I was siting on the front porch and didn’t feel a thing!! Thank god I called the Ins company in the morning …. Ya just know those parasites woulda claimed “earthquake damage not covered”. Yesterday had the big digger here ripping up the palatial lawns, got the new line in and repacked the lawn and porch was filled with screening and then power tamped. They left by 2:30, spent until supper but managed to get the part of the porch they had dug up and the walkway repaired. So back to PEAK!!! Gonna get the estimate from the guy same time I get the bill on Monday, he knows the situation with the insurance co., so here’s hoping he makes it a juicy one!! Here’s a few pics of the window work and then the trench destruction. Chief Grey Cloud and Princess Pity Me …
  9. I could type my fingers down to bloody little stumps telling you about banks.... if you have ever had the "pleasure" of being an executor of someones estate ....and IF you don't belong to THAT particular bank.... every check that came into the estate was torture!! Finally I just said, "Lets just close this account, and I'll deal with my own bank and make them handle the checks." All of a sudden no more runaround, everything went smooth as butter from then on .... hhhmmm MUST of been a coincidence!
  10. EEE ha, yeah I see your posting, I think this is ready for the membership, once Don gives his nod. IF that happened to be YOU in the posting you can even "edit" the sighting and say "Hey, that was me!"
  11. Just thought I'd bump this to the top in case the Boss forgot about it with all that MD stuff going on?
  12. YES yes yes .... that is it exactly. However, I like to let all my buddies know its 800+lb and 153lb 5' 7" little ole me did it!! No need to tell them how .....
  13. That StreetView part of Google maps is truly amazing, how do they do it in real time? ....... looks like "some explaining to do Lucy"!
  14. I'm hooked on this nightly Anderson Cooper recap on whats going on. Poor people down there seem to be coming up against red tape now. You can see and hear their frustration!
  15. Awaiting Citzenship card (instead of diploma type certficate) THEN I can apply for my passport. Soon I hope.
  16. So far, looking at that method, I think Dennis Kirk at $158 was the best price. + change over to Canuck $$ .... I think shipping is free.
  17. Okay recap: You, your bike and your Dad (or your kid or grandkid to prove your "Dadliness") Happy Fathers Day and for those unable to do that ..... You, your bike and a strawberry patch. Happy June!
  18. I just noticed the "wear bars" on my rear Avons.(25K kms) Last time I got a quote from Zdeno, and then went to BKBike on hwy 6 and they matched the price. Where do you all, from this area, buy your tires? Do you order them from the US? Unfortunately, I must go to a garage for the install, and that is a hun for the rear! So I'm trying to save a little do-re-mi. Thanks for your help.
  19. OKAY Good idea..... scratch the stupid strawberry idea!! So .... You, your bike and your DAD, or SON/DAUGHTER or GRANDKID. And again, Hapy Father's Day!!
  20. The next target I am trying to make "seasonal", so lets go with: You, your bike and your dad (Happy Father's Day) or, since most guys are older, and this may be impossible .... so ... You, your bike and a strawberry patch. I hope having two choices is ok, I would rather the first, but the second is cool too! Good luck!
  21. Mission Completed!! I will wait until it is okayed by someone before picking the next target. First pic is the sled, me and the crane, and the second one is further away showing the whole crane, (just in case there was any problems).
  22. I had my windshield cut down a plastics store in Hamilton. The guy there told me "mild soap and water, but always use an old cotton t shirt" .... that has worked for me.
  23. hhhmmm methinks that could be a stab, looks like a stab, feels like a stab, must be a stab .... I know how ya feel buddy .... gawd I hate when they're right .... and its salt to the wound when they actually SEE they're right! Oh yeah .... lead wristed!!
  24. http://www.webbikeworld.com/motorcycle-news/statistics/motorcycle-sales-statistics.htm Some general stats but nothing make sepecific.
  25. Just in case it slipped your mind, I saw a "sighting" in the W.H. so I thought I'd mention again. Hope I'm not bugging, I know you must be busier than a one armed wallpaperer. Thanks Boss
