Piece of cake, I just Googled ya. These maps are the greatest, they now have the picture of what the intersection looks like where you turn etc. See you just after lunch.

I do everything, off and on, on the kickstand, lowering the backrest first, she gets on the left side same as most. And to really get her off I take her shopping!

I was wondering if there are any members awaiting black sludge in their backyards? I feel a little stupid, I did not realize once you "pierce" into one of these gas or oil deposits you had to suck it dry or else as soon as you pull the drill out the whole mess comes pouring out. And now their saying 3 months to stop the flow of 5000 barrels per day?! This will become world altering if it is not fixed ... IMHO

I still planned on coming out, not sure about my riding buddy. I got your address off the Wednesday night thread. Shall I come there for 1pm or would meeting somewhere be more convient for you, Carl? Or would you rather cancel since you are starting the night ride that day too? I don't enjoy night riding, and I would have to be riding in the dark homebound, so I personally will pass on the Wed. night ride. Poor night vision and a deer magnet!

Ok, I'll see what Carl whats to do, he says he is somewhat retired. Maybe come out again in the future. I am living the Freedom 51 .... er make that 52 now ..... dream! But wife does like to schedule things for the weekends. In the future bud! No problem.

When I was young my buddy had a big truck tire inner tube and he used to spray Pam on one side and we'd go tobogganing ..... that sucker flew and went on & on. So, would this be considered the "all season" option? hhhmmm:whistling:

Hey guys .... how does Wednesday sound to your schedule? I could arrive in Brantford for early aft. .... say 1pm. then we could meet Brad and head out for an ice cream. With 3 (or more if anyone else wants to come) we should be building up Black Owls commission, might be up to one of those free little wooden spoons by now.

Yeah, I figured after the give away of a red maple (y'all have seen our flag, right?) I better make this an easy one too. Most courses have at least one hole near a roadside for a quick pic. Probably the tricky part is remembering to pack the camera before your ride.

All the best Annie. You are the poster girl for perserverance, and you should be proud of yourself for having such a positive attitude. Lord knows how us men would of handled just a bit of what you've been through. Again, all my best for you. PS: Love the scoot ... butterflies are a great touch. I see a little symbolism, Pappilon breaking outa jail, Annie breaking outa those medical contraptions. A sign of things to come.

Mission Completed!! Although I wasn't going up and knocking on their door to check if it was "Japanese" or not. Looks good to me. If pegscraper denies it, that's okay. If its okay ..... The next target is you, your bike & a putting green (golf green with flag) Good luck all. I thought I'd also add one of my favourite pictures, from last fall along the Niagara Parkway, y'know in case y'all wanted to get it framed or a tattoo or something!

And ..... make SURE you do the Niagara Parkway (Canadian side) and check out Millionaire's Row for a ride, thats a MUST!!! As for the Falls, you should do the Maid of the Mist ..... thats pretty cool! There are tons of museums (ie: Ripleys, Horror etc) but there is also a Motorcycle museum. Go north of the falls toward Niagara-on-the-Lake and there is the Totem Pole Park and the Whirlpool as well as helicopter tours. Tom is right on with acc. you will pay through the nose around Niagara, and there are some dives so watch it!! just 'cause its cheap doesn't mean "habitable". Move away from the falls and make the 15 minute trip and save half your money (at least). Restaurants are the same as the lodging, around the falls get set for a $5 Big Mac, but as you move away the prices get better. In Chippawa there is Betty's for fish and chips (well known biker spot) and a little far a field for you maybe, in Fort Erie on hwy 3 is Green Acres, a family operated place thats been there for decades, not fancy, but if you can finish your meal, your a bigger man than me .... HUGE orders at great prices, famous local eating place. Any more questions?? post away friend, thats one area I'm familiar with!!

You're right there, stupidity doesn't play favourites, anyone can join that team! But, those dam things doing 100 in second gear, and kids and their "invincibility" makes for a lethal combination. I read in your bio about the Ironbutt, I was wondering, did you do the 1000-in-a-day or the whole 11,000 shebang?? And on your 05?

I have to wear boots, chrome shifter is set a little high so running shoes just dont work. Jeans and (I know this will bring a mountain of tsk's) whatever the temperature dictates from full armoured nylon, or jean jacket or even sleeveless tshirt. I hate gloves, as soon as I can remove them, I do. Actually down to a tshirt this aft. which is rare for April in Canada!! Saw a HD dude in shorts and wifebeater, going along the lakeshore too, he must of been cold!

Will do for sure!!! I was even looking at next weeks weather, Monday & Wednesday look good. I'll see what my travelling buddy is up to, but I'll let y'all know if and when I head out in that direction. It would be great to have a "local" leading the way. Thanks for the offer, much appreciated.

Following those darn Google instructions there where times I didn't know where the hell I was, but I know I went around Brantford through Scotland and then towards Woodstock. Next time I'll print the map as well as the printed directions, thats kinda confusing. Also, being a retired piece of driftwood I'm usually cruising on weekdays, is that any good for you? If so, we could definitely meet next time, I'd enjoy that.

Mission completed, Sarge! Woke up to a balmy 10C, what else would you want to do but go on an Ice Cream Run?? Cranked out the map on google and set off into new frontiers. I haven't been around this area before and it was an interesting ride. For all you Kitchener and Waterloo guys around there (who obviously had some laundry and vaccuuming to get done before riding ) please be warned that the store opens at 2pm to 8pm ..... so no breakfast sundaes! They sell an interesting product where soft ice cream has a line of flavouring (ie: chocolate) that runs along the outside edge .... pretty darn good!!! you can sort of see it in the pic of Barb & Charlie in the upper left corner. But you have to watch for it, the store is kind of tucked in a corner. Had a nice little chat with Charlie and Barb says hi. Being diabetic, I could only have a small cone so not much in the commission department yet, sorry bud!

Having worked in retail for many years, I agree that for a certain price you will get a certain level of quality. In some instances you pay more and you get a better product. And in some instances the same item is exceedingly higher priced ..... gouging. As a business owner I would want my customers to know that I am trying to do the best I can in order to meet their needs and at the best price. Having to compete with giants you must make service your #1 priority. For instance, if Home Depot has 25 bolts for $5 and Joe's Hardware can't beat that price, he opens up boxes and sells them individually, thereby creating a service and still competing. IMHO - To post a sign on the wall saying "pick two" is showing you can't compete. Just something I would not do or someplace I would not shop.
