My seat is the midnight/studded type, not the pillow type. My last trip on a venture seat was 3 days with all day riding. After 2 days the seat felt like hot hard steel.

Does anyone know a good place / website to get one of those wooden bead seat covers for a bike seat at a good price. I want to get two but hate the idea of dropping $50 to $60 not knowing weather or not I'll like them. There was a place on ebay selling them for 12 buck but looks like there out.

I doubt I'll be buying any gifts. Once all the camping gear is packed there will be no room left. I'm thinking I might give those vacume bags a try. Sure hope customs don't tear it apart.

Do you have anything to declare, and, Is there something you want to declare. Whats the difference? Also do we need to take off our helmets at the booth? We plan on staying at the falls for a night and then up to Sudbury and cross back in at Salt St Marie. Do ya think they have any problems with this plan?

In June I'll by crossing into Canada with a friend. I have crossed before on bikes but that was well before 9/11. Back then we just pulled up to the customs booth together. Can we still do that or do they want one bike at a time?

Does anyone have a 4 pin CB mic they can try on thier bike and see if it works? I want to get a power mic, but most are 4 pin and the price goes way up to get them rewired to 5 pin. I'm thinking the 4 pin will work but I'm not sure.

Has anyone ever tried installing a CB mic. If so did you have any problems?

My are set up with a switch that the PO mounted next to the acc outlet. I leave them on all the time, but they really don't help much at night time. The light only beams out about 20 feet on front of me a can see no way to adjust them. -

Was there for "blessing of the bikes" about 10 yrs ago.

It was the route on Thursday. Not really roads for a big truck, but it was the only way to get where I was going.

No really, I was working my part-time job driving truck and drove through Hell Michigan.

I must be old school at age 40. I change tires (MC and car) the way I learnd from my dad. 1) Small pcs of plywood. 2) Car jack and the car to go with it. 3) 12" pcs of slit fuel line. 4) Two long handle flat head screw drivers. 5) Air compressure, tire gauge and dyna beads to balance. I don't use any special tools and don't have to worry about storage of special equipment.

I am a LE and have a friend who's friend that wanted to started a MC and call it the "Defenders" made up of only LE's. We both decided it was a bad idea because of the 1%ers. We both carry off duty, but who needs the trouble. We enjoys riding and meeting people and really try to avoid issues while off duty.

I picked up some studs off ebay for 5 buck and put them on my plain backrest. They match perfectly................it only took about 15 minutes to put them on.........

Guess I'm not alone here. Been down with strip throat since Saturday. Here's the best part. Work says I can't come back until I get a Doctors slip that says I'm healty enough to return, my doc is on vacation until the 28th. Maybe I'll just stay home longer. Wonder If they will keep paying me.

I just disconnected it. It was just a matter of a few plugins. Will be a snap to reinstall for trips.
