My Father took a bad fall
Flyinfool replied to Flyinfool's topic in Inspirational, Motivational, Prayer Requests, Etc.
Well things are not good. After a couple of days of rehab dad had a couple of seizures and is now in worse shape than before. The hospital has said that he is no longer a candidate for rehab as they do not think his condition can improve. He will be moved from the hospital to a hospice in a nursing home in the next couple of days. The nursing home will still continue to work at rehab, but the docs have said that he has just a "slight" chance for any improvement at all. If there is no sign of significant improvement all feeding tubes and IVs will be removed in 30 days per his written wishes. Of course we are hoping for that "slight" chance to come thru but are trying to prepare for the realistic probability. At this point we are praying that the good lord will either have him get better or to take him quickly so that he does not have to continue to suffer. -
Yup there are a bunch of threads where people got loctite on the plastic and it just goes away and is very hard to fix. You end up making the hole at least an inch bigger all around the crater that is already there and then get to rebuild a new area from scratch. Brake fluid is just as bad on the plastic parts.

And as a bonus the JIS drivers still work in standard Phillips heads better than the US Phillips bit made for them.- 39 replies

Yup, the flowage near where I hunt has been down for so long that there is grass, brush and small trees growing on the lakebed.

I always buy the "Forever" stamps. Since they do not have a value printed on them I loose track of how much postage is. When I get more stamps I am usually doing other business so I still don't know what the stamps cost. The only checks I still write are to state and local government that have not yet heard of credit cards or internet.

I got some Jack Daniels Honey in the gift set with 2 matching shot glasses, a bottle of Egg Nogg withe the booze already in it, a Xmas stocking filled with an assortment of sampler bottles, a bottle of wine in a flavor that I am allergic to (gonna hafta think on that one) a brush cutter attachment for my weed whacker to clear shooting lanes for deer hunting. Oh yea, and my honey got this round metal thing with clear shiny rocks all over it, so I guess I also got my honey............ What have I done.........

The cruise picks up its speed reading from inside the speedo head. Your self canceling turn signals also get their signals for time moving and distance from the speedo head. -
ONLY 10 lbs.......rookie!

In WI you pay a title fee when you purchase the vehicle, the title has both your name and the banks name on it. Once the loan is paid you will get a letter from the bank releasing their lien on the vehicle. You can either just keep that letter with your title or pay for another title fee to get the clear title in your name only. All that the state cares about is making your money their money.

Hmmmmmmmmm............ Sounds like a setup to me........... But that is a nice kidney shaped pool in your backyard on the street that sounds like a fireplace rock. At least thats where I'll show up. And how come you have no grass for me to set my tent up on?

I once went to McD and ordered a half dozen chicken nuggets, The gal behind the counter says "I'm sorry sir, we only sell them as 6, 9 or 12" So I asked " you mean I can not order a half dozen?" She answered "No, just 6, 9 or 12". I was working hard (not real successfully) to keep a straight face, the guy behind me was hysterical and nearly on the floor. NO ONE INCLUDING THE MANAGER GOT IT! If common sense is supposed to be COMMON sense, then why do so few people have it.

I still have 8 days left to be riding this year before I am required by law to park the bike. Rode the bike in to work today and will take the long way back home. Forecast for next week looks to be good riding weather also. So there.... I think WI has given up on snow. The total from the last SEVEN snow "storms" so far in this December was a whopping 1.1 inches.

Mmmmmmm...............Could be..........

Ignoring the fact that the pass should have never been attempted. The short answer is proper use of the brakes would have avoided the crash all together with no more damage than a bulldozer to pull your shorts back out of where they got sucked up into.

Maybe you can still get the recall and trade it in on a new one.. Or get a full refund of the lowest ever sale price. Its worth a try.

Having all of the big money going to one person helps the economy just as much as spreading it around. The majority of big winners have it all spent and are bankrupt in 5-10 years. I sure would like to find out if I could handle it or not. In WI the profits from the lottery go to property tax relief, the amount of relief is a line item on the tax bill, every year the relief is more than I spend on tickets so I figure that even though I play occasionally I am still money ahead by the lotto being available.

Some of the real small welders do just use battery clips for both the ground and stick holder. If it is an AC welder then it does not matter which one is ground and which one holds the stick. I do remember seeing stuff like that when I was shopping for a welder. Can you post a pic of the data plate that shows the power requirements? That will give us a better idea of what you have.
