  3. G.W, this rig, belongs to my boss. it IS a little pricey, but it has a tremendous amount of welding rods, backing material, a "how to" cd, and is AIRLESS!. shoot, i'm thinking about "springing" , for one, and "hanging out my shingle"!!! lots of plastic covered bikes around here, and those crotch rocket and HD riders, "aint gonna care how much you charge", as long as it is a lot cheaper than NEW plastic. i'm telling ya , this little dude will weld ANY TYPE of plastic, and even nylon. i don't figure you will be needing one , though, cause you can bring me your broken stuff, and i'll cheat ya right! lol just jt

  5. dan, unless you are having problems with your starter, i wouldn't bother with it. mine got to a point that it would rattle and clatter, and NOT engage! i had no alternative, but to replace the whole starter clutch assembly. didn't see any point in ordering a bunch of small parts, and STILL, not have everything i needed. just jt.

  16. hey jeff. i am confused , a little, about the colortune process. if you do the colortune, does that not go "down the drain", so to speak, when you "RE-SYNC" the carbs? or are you adjusting two different sets of screws? just jt:confused24::confused24:
  17. and if DEBBIE"S babies don't like it, you may get a couple of "knots on your head"! lol then again, they'll probably LOVE riding, with their face in the wind! good luck! just jt
  18. YES george. the plate is broken into , in two places! i have a complete new starter clutch, but the three bolts may be difficult to locate! also wondering if i need to polish the inside of the flywheel, where the clutch fits. it has "visible " scars, from the loose bolt heads, where they rubbed against it. any one with a thought on this? gonna re-install the works, tomorrow, if i can find the correct bolts! just jt

  23. hey , bud. sorry i can't help you with your question. just wanted to say "it's good to see ya on here again"! don't be a stranger! just jt.
  24. i finally got the flywheel off, no problems, after you locate the correct bolts! now , is where it gets "different". the pins and rollers, all seem to be in excellent shape. the 3 allen bolts , that hold the clutch to the back of the fly wheel, are shot! all three, were "finger tight".and had been rubbing the internal portion of the flywheel. they were all "dimpled ", on the thread end, to secure them in place, but only ONE, was not ruined.i am going to attempt to attach pics, and then , i ask EVERYONE"S opinion. is this a "fairly common", problem, or am i just "special". seems that everyone else has these "easy fix",problems, EXCEPT ME!!! oh, in the third pic, you can see that the "clutch weight/plate, is cleanly broken!
  25. congrats, Spear! some guys have ALL the luck! all of my grands, are grown! my son, 22 years old, ain't even LOOKING, for a marriage prospect! he just plays the field! just jt
