When I was reading Freebirds article on the work done on his eye it occurred to me that we have seen some amazing advances in medicine and the things they can do to help out eyesight is nothing short of amazing. BUT it is Really unnerving and can be painful depending on the procedure done. The You Tube video I am posting is the same as the one done on me, but they dont show the needles used to freeze the eye that are inserted into the corners of the eye at the start of the procedure. I was wondering why i stil have an ache in the muscle behind my eye over a month after the surgery, after watching this now I know.....lol! My doc insisted I do this with a local anesthetic and it was a curious/cool/eeeewww! feeling when I could watch the instruments from inside my eye.... This is a graphic video of a medical procedure and I am posting just so those that are curious can see what is now possible, but again I warn it is graphic. Vridetv was travelling around the last week and just posted a sunset video of Rouleau SK, known better to millions of people as Dog River. The TV show was filmed 30 miles south of Regina for 6 years. The video gives a great idea of just how flat this part of country is and how an average small town in Saskatchewan looks. First a warning, this video is 9:42 seconds long and not terribly exciting. It's simply me testing the video capabilities of my iPhone mounted to the bike with a Ram mount. Still, it's kinda neat. Makes you feel like you're riding. The wavy-ness of the video I've since confirmed, is due to shooting through the windscreen. Take a look/listen and if the stereo isn't too loud, is that other sound the ibasket whine or, just a chirp? This is the longer version, I think... This was a quick video from the trip back from MD. It was my first attempt at videoing while riding. The Youtube quality isn't as good as the original. It's also kinda shaky, I left my vent open, so there's more wind noise, and the sun was at our back, degrading the quality even more. I promise, it wasn't as scary as it looks. The music isn't added. It is from my stock stereo and MP3 at 70-80 mph, and doesn't sound too bad. We were having a blast...making memories. Angel is learning how to make the videos now, so I can concentrate on my driving. What no pond monsters? I wasn't able to make the Freebird MD this year ...........AGAIN but, I did so love to see the pictures posted of the Pond monster sitings which I have not noticed from the postings this year. I also missed seeing any video on 86 er's buddy Bubba. I miss his insightful ramblings as well..

I modified my Baron's Nasty Boys today so they are not so nasty. They sound good on the jack but I haven't put the rear wheel on yet to try them on the road. I welded a heavy washer with a 5/8 hole to the inlet of the baffle to reduce the flow a little and cause a little more back pressure, seems to have worked but time will tell. Finally, it got warm enough here in Iowa to go for a ride. I put my Khromewerks pipes on and installed my Corbin Seat - and had enough time this afternoon to ride around Newton. What a great day! I would have ridden longer but our church is showing the videos, "Laugh Your Way To A Better Marriage" tonight. Highly recommend the ride and the video!!!
