  1. OK..someone did this for me 2 years ago, but I forgot who it was. So I am looking for someone else that can do it. Someone with the expertise, know how and TIME to do it. Obviously, I am willing to pay (paypal) for both the service and the knowledge here. Measuring from the bolt on point (but where the solid part of the kickstand starts), the NORMAL OEM kickstand is 12" to the beginning of the foot of the kickstand. My current "modified" kickstand is 11.5". I am wanting my kickstand to be 11.0" now. There is still not enough "LEAN" to the bike...especially on uneven surfaces. Whoever did my current modified stand, did a great job. Wally
  2. I had a chance to ride a friends new 2010 Goldwing this past weekend. A great bike for sure. Being 6'6" tall I found myself a bit crowded and wondered if the seat could be modified somewhat to move me up and back a few inches. Has anyone had experience with this? Can the seat be modified easily? I also wondered if the handlebars could be adjusted so they could be farther away? My wife really liked the Wing. We both noticed that the intercom/sound system to be superior to our RSV using our JM headsets. Wind buffeting also seemed to be less. Definately quieter and smoother. Fuel injection, ABS and heated seats and grips are also a huge plus. If I can sort out the leg room and handlebars this will be the RSV's replacement. JR
  3. Have just installed a Triwing trike kit and would like to find a "Leading Legs" kit. After just getting the bike back together, I don't really want to pull the front end apart to have the trees modified. Any ideas?
  4. I Haven't seen any other comments on this, but the late night talk shows wore out Christina and her version of the National Anthem. Jay's take and modified version was hilarious. I also checked some other shows and they also went off on her. RandyA
  5. I just bought this 06 RSV a few weeks ago. It had what I thought was a bent side stand on it because they had modified it by welding about a 3 inch block of steel on the bottom of the stand to keep the bike up to a decent angle. Well I picked up another stand from a gentleman here and put it on today. It leaned over WAY too much. So I propped the bike back up and looked and the only think I can think of is the bracket on the frame that the stand attaches to must be bent or the frame is twisted... So since it's still under warranty I took it in and dropped it off. They are going to look at it on Friday and call it in to see if it's covered... So a couple of questions for you guys: 1. Should this be covered? 2. If it's not covered, what are my options to "modify" it so it will work. The modified stand I have works but will drag the ground in a moderate left lean through a turn... Any help would be greatly appreciated!
  6. Does anyone have a bad Reserve Lighting Unit laying around for an 88 Venture? It is my understanding that the MKI and MKII are different. At least the connector is different. My request is 2 fold. 1. I want to see what is inside of that box to see if it can be modified to suit my needs before I destroy my good one. 2. If it can not be disassembled and modified then I can use the wire harness and connector to make my own unit that will do what I need. Next question; Has anyone identified the connector on the RLU so I could just buy that. I just hate to butcher a perfectly good RLU if I don't have to.
  7. I modified my Baron's Nasty Boys today so they are not so nasty. They sound good on the jack but I haven't put the rear wheel on yet to try them on the road. I welded a heavy washer with a 5/8 hole to the inlet of the baffle to reduce the flow a little and cause a little more back pressure, seems to have worked but time will tell. I am attempting a video of them. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t9ryuwQjI4I]YouTube- Picture or Video 013.avi[/ame]
  8. Will a louder exhaust sound cover some of that whinning from the clutch? I was just wondering if anyone that has put aftermarket exhaust on or modified the stock mufflers has noticed any reduction of the whinning. Thanks S. Allen
  9. I've read on here about the changing the exhaust by installing the harley or by getting aftermarket pipes. Has anyone on here ever removed their factory mufflers and modified them as most have done with the harley pipes? Aftermarket pipes are out of the question do to cost. Why can't the stock exhaust be modified as the harley pipes? are they that much different inside? Sorry for the questions, but I would like my 02 to sound more like a motorcycle than a sewing machine , not loud, just a nice low deep rumble. Thanks.....
  10. Here are a couple of pics of my trailer that I modified. I can have it as a stake trailer or with a cartop box on it.
