As I'm going through the process of fixing the second gear -yeah I'm taking my time in between all those other demands. I have my engine upside down working my way in getting the oil pump, oil gallery pipes off and I notice this piece sitting on the pistons - see highlighted in first picture. I've taken a few pictures of it but I'm not sure what it is or where it goes at this stage. Can anyone give me some pointers? Thanks in advance. -
Can some one supply the MD address so I can get a close-up of the gathering. I have access to a US military rental satilite with capabilities to read license plates from outer space. If I can't be there in person I will be spying on them from my control room. :ignore: Pictures update every 15 seconds so I should be able to catch a lot of them in the act. I am hoping to catch the first pictures of the pond monster ever from outer space. Oh ya those pesky little pygmies too. If Margaret reads this be by the pond at 1:00pm Saturday, on the diving board and wave so I know which one you are. :yikes:

I made it back home yesterday from Huntsville after getting Jacque moved into her new apartment so now I am able to post some pictures of our meet and eat in Huntsville last Sunday! It was so good to see Eck and Konnie and Blackjack (what a surprise too!). Ben, Jacque and Brock enjoyed the group! The ribs and trimmings were outstanding. :thumbsup2:They use a mop to put the BBQ sauce on the ribs. Just wanted to chime in, I have noticed a lil poping on decel and the engine seemed a lil rough at cruising speed. After reading several post I was thinking time to check the carb sync, called my local STEALER who wants $85 to sync them up (freaking nuts). After watching on this site I saw a post about the price of the morgan carbtune pro being lower due to the exchange rate so I pulled the trigger and got the carbtune pro with case for 93 otd. Rocket fast shipping 8 days to northern michigan, then came my problem. I have always said I am a jack of all trades master of none lol and have done my share of wrenching but when it comes to something new I always get a lil nervous. I have to say this site is so beyond worth the 12 bucks with all the write ups and pictures it was actually a breeze. I took my time, made several adjustments and got them just about perfect, should have took pictures but camera was dead, man what a difference!!! Now I guess this is a big thank you message and a question, does $85 sound right to have a dealer do this? I mean even with a miller lite break it didnt take more than 40 mins so just wondering if they were trying to bend me over. And as far as the thank yous that is for everyone on this site and to Don just have to say you have created so much more than just a website here, I would have been lost and paying for what was a fairly simple job. I will be a member here till the end!!!! Well enough rambling just had to say how happy i was to find this site!!

After loosing 55 pounds so far, I am finding it a lot easier to jump up on the seat and stand up(Yammer, if you try this, don't take pictures). As I get better at it, maybe I will take the bike off the center stand, not! These pictures were taken in front of a beautiful wall mural in Burnsville, NC as part of a great ride yesterday. RandyA

Ok guys, first off my search-fu is weak. While there are multiple threads about removing the stock windshield (i'd like to get a blacked out 10" one for the summer months) I can't seem to find a step by step instruction on it. Would someone please point me in the right direction to an appropriate post, hopefully with pictures? Thanks in advance! Csogbk

Pulled into the parking lot at my son's soccer game last Saturday and at first thought someone had stole my bike. There was another big blue 89 Venture sitting there, accessorized a little different but still pretty close to looking like mine. I was able to talk with the owner after while. He had just purchased it with on 19K miles on it. It had come with a matching Yamaha trailer that he didn't have with him that day. I didn't know that Yamaha made trailers. Anyone heard of this or even better have pictures. I didn't think to get contact info from the fellow, just that he was from Washington Co., Iowa. Anyone have pictures of a 20 year old Yamaha bike trailer. Just curious. Iowa Guy

I know I've seen a post before where some one changed their reflectors by the front wheel and the rear crash bar to LED's.The front would be no problem,but I have the saddle bag rails and cannot figure out how to hide the wires with out them being seen. Does any one that has done this give me detailed instructions? Pictures would be even better,if that is possible.

OK Ive read a FEW threads on mounting the XM antenna on the bikes..Has anyone found the absolute best place to mount the ANTENNA for XM?? Pictures if possible..ALSO Is it worth it to get the Weather subscriptin also..does it show radar maps??

I found out about this story when I was in Utah for my Moms funeral. The guy scammed a lot of people and is getting everything that he deserves. BUT can you imagine owning all these cars. By the way, there is a venture there so it is related (sort-of) I really like the classic cars, but there are some beautiful bikes and the first gen looks like it is in good shape too. First a question. In the pictures there are two plugs shown, a white one and a green one. the green one is from the clutch switch but i cant find where it goes, any ideas? The white one is a mystery...??? it has two black/white wires and a black/yellow and a blue/yellow wire. two of the pictures show a white plug that plugs into something on the middle of the rail. that relay is missing, what is it? the frame is from the 83 and dosent look the same as the 86 but the relays and harness is from the 86. all wiring from the 83 has been removed and replaced with an 86 harness. hand controls and all.

Since I could not load the bikini side panel pictures on your PM, I will try it here. I cut the bottom section to the length I wanted and then used a heat gun to soften the plastic to bring it to a point. I then used Devcon Plastic Weld to fill and very little body filler to smooth it out. I also narrowed the top section some to make it blend with the fairing better. I hope this helps some. RandyA

I have a 1986 VR.I bought a markland hitch for it but dummy me can't figure how to mount it.Any one have pictures of one installed would be a blessing.Now I am on my knees,,,,please..

I need a picture of the heel toe shift lever and how it mounts with the floor boards installed. Also how the Brake lever looks with the board installed. The bike must have floor boards on it and not the stock pegs. I have both levers but no mounting plates so that is why I need pictures of each so I can mount them on my trike with some idea of how it is to look. Thanks in advance Bikenut
