  1. I got out and rode some yesterday. Good thing, woke up about 6:15 to 3-4 inches of snow. Its 11:00 am now and we have around 6-7 inches and are expecting in our area about 18-24 inches by sunday. I guess New Jersey will call a stateof emergency. Our road guys are not used to seeing those snow totals here. I hope everyone has a great holiday and stay safe. Chris:rudolf:

  6. For any of you guys using the Oddessy batteries, Do you have the proper charger? They need a higher amp to charge the battery and maintain them than other brands and you regular battery tender just wont cut it. I found that out!! I have since stopped using the Oddessy in my bike so if anyone is interested I have a Oddessy Ultimizer battery charger for sale. It is like new. I only used it for a few months before I went to a Yuasa battery instead. Im asking for $55 shipped and it is in the original box. Anyone interested PM me. First come first serve. Thanks Guys!! Scotty
  7. Someone with a XVZ1300 (naked) over here asked me if I knew the valve settings. Nope, but knew where to come and ask:thumbsup2: So help away guys.......................................

  11. Hey everyone! Been a while, Things are going okay even though my world is being rocked from just about every direction. I guess I need to catch up a bit, I'll save it for another thread, anyway, The bike has been running great all summer haven't had to bug anyone about it at all this summer. Well, I'm trying to get my old boat back together for next summer and was looking for some info on rebuilding its ford 302 powerplant. Anyway, I tripped upon this thread in another forum and thought of you guys. Now I'm curious as to what opinions you all might offer as to whether or not this would work on a first gen such as mine. [ame=http://www.audiforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=80267]Hey guys, please help with my mods gone wrong..... - AudiForums.com[/ame] Thoughts anyone?
  12. 38180.1 Three pencil and one dial gauge and they all read different. How about the digital gauges? Any brand better than the other, what are you guys using? Thanks in advance
  13. Looking for a Cassette Player for a Midnight RSV. Seeing you guys have replaced the Cassette Player with gauges, cd players and storage areas, figure there might be one out there for sale cheap. Really only need the door cause my Cassette Player door is scratched and it stares at me in the face while I am riding. Don't know if just the door can be replaced but willing to replace the whole unit if the door cannot be. Thanks Guys.
  14. i read this forum and see guys getting 35mph+ mile per gallon some getting close to 40. i have a 07 rstd with 3000 miles and i can only get 30mpg on a good day. do they not go over 55mph? any help?
  15. My old Army National Guard unit, 211th Engineer Companay (Sapper) deployed this morning. There was a convoy of busses taking them to Camp McCoy, WI for initial deployment training and then to Afganistan for a year. There was a good turnout of towns people along the route through main drag. I was impressed with the member of the Patriot Guard Riders and Rolling Thunder that led the busses for the guys. For members here that are PG Riders, Thanks for all you do! Please keep all the troops, from any where, that are in harms way in your thoughts and prayers. Dave
  16. Hey guys... Can you guys post the actual tire part numbers for your combos? I hear about the kumoho, but which tire? And apparently there's different sizes of the cobras and such?? I hear some saying to use the "thinner" version for the front some people use? I'm pretty interested in this. Especially for the reduced cost and increased milage- I'm really interested! I have a used bike and just don't know how old/many miles on the tires, plus, they're brickstones. if it's affordable, I'll switch now... rs
  17. After careful consideration and waiting for the 2010 venture I have bought a new to me toy. 2007 wing with EFI. It sure dose have a lot of buttons though! On the way home while trying to find the auto wave button I may have accidently launched the space shuttle. I still intend to hang out here cause I still have the 84 and I think it will still make a good service truck. ( That would be a shift cover from a 5 ton truck this spring ). Besides you guys make me laugh, and after looking at my bank balance, I need a good laugh!
  18. these guys were overheard saying "What the hell, the venture guy has a bigger flag":cool10:
  19. After a 2200 mile last week on my 06 RSTD, I realized either I got the wrong bike or I can't do long rides. Primarily my hind-end got the best of me...I hate to give in to defeat but, I think I'm only good for two tanks of gas. One to get there and one to get back. My hat is off to you guys that can ride all day, everyday. As far as seating, I've tried the mustang and currently riding on the comfort-cruise with a utopia back rest. I made the mistake of telling my wife I wanted to try a goldwing next and she said I was in denial, lol.
  20. I found an excellent GPS for a buddy of mine for his bike. He's quite poor and cant afford a $690.00 Gps so I found him one for $60.00 that is beautiful to read in direct sunlight and at night. It's a Garmin iQue 3600. the car kit we modified to screw it to the bike's dash and it works great. He can even play mp3's on it. No the maps are not current but that does not matter to him. (Or me, I am happy with 2 year old maps) It's the cheapest GPS I could find that you can shine a 60,000,000CP flashlight at it and you can still read it. Just a tip for the poor guys out there. No it's not waterproof. it does not have XM,Sirius,Onstar, or anything else in it like that. I'm getting a second one for me and selling the current GPS I have because of it's huge screen.
  21. does anyone have a diagram for the pin positioning for the communication system on the Venture. I need a schematic for the pins to make a new microphone, need to know which pins to use going in to the bike. Thanks guys.
  22. I had to let you guys see this. This is me and my dad. As we were leaving Home Depot the other day a man on an Ultra Classic stop me and asked, "What......you guys couldn't get ladder racks with those bikes?" I just smiled and rode off. I figured afterward I would take a pic and let you guys see.
  23. Ok guys got another question for you all, recently did a bunch of work to my 05 midnight ( plugs air filters carb sync oil change tires brakes) and i am noticing when its cold and i choke her to warm it up it isnt smooth, and only when cruising not under accel the engine seems to "studder" just a lil bit was expecting it to run smooth at say 40 riding through town but has a spudder maybe is a better word, you hit the gas and she seems fine, am gonna change the fuel filter but wonder if you guys have any other suggestions??
  24. For your viewing pleasure...these guys deserve these awards....enjoy Bob http://www.mynorthwest.com/?nid=228&sid=168067
