A year or so ago Cycle City, the Yamaha dealer closed it doors after being in bussness about 40 years. that really sucked as far as ordering any parts without going a fair piece out of town. Well this week I drive by the local Honda / Kawasaki dealer Burlington Cycle, and don't they have a new Yamaha sign up. Yup they have added Yamaha to there inventory. Burlington Cycle also have been there for many years, and are also great folks to deal with, so I am glad they were able to add the Yamha line to their store.

I ordered (and paid for) the 'Big Mirrors' for my Venture from 'thecycleking' which, as I understand it, represent Harber's Cycle. The purchase was made on ebay and paid with paypal. That was some two months ago. So far there has been no product, no answer to my emails (X4) and they haven't answered their phone (X2). I also completed the ebay resolution procedure which said that my complaint has been filed but that appears to be as far as that goes. It is not my intent to sully this company's reputation, as hopefully this is a unique situation and a simple mistake, but I am not sure of how to proceed next. Their reputation on ebay appears to be stellar. Has anyone here dealt with Harber's Cycle recently? Suggestions? Thanks. Jdix

While at Vogel I was presented with a book written by Peter Egan, titled Leanings. Peter Eagan is a contributing editor of Cycle World, Road & Track and a few other mags. These are stories and articles taken from Cycle World and are very good reading. YammerDan presented me with the book, and stipulated that the book had to be passed on to any member who wanted to read it. I am the 4th to have it according to the signatures in the cover. So if you are interested in reading it just post your request here with your mailing address and I will forward it on to you, when you are finished you must sign it, inside the front cover, and post here for the next person to read. That simple. Dan, you forgot to sign it so I will "forge" your name in it. And a big THANK YOU, to the person who bought this book, it was great reading.

Well, you have to come to a stop and wait a cycle or two but it's good to know that common practice has become legal. http://www.fox4kc.com/news/wdaf-run-red-lights-bikes-081309,0,6130460.story

Hi All: Well, I think the fuse went on the cigarette lighter. I was using a pump to put air in the tires. It started to go then stopped. Pump works fine from my car lighter but will not work from the cycle. I understand from the manual that the fuse is under the cowl on the right side of the cycle as you are sitting on it. There are two screws (torx) and one on the bottom. I can't seem to break the two torx screws loose and didn't want to apply too much pressure for fear I would break something. Has anyone had to get into their fuse box on a 2009 Venture? I can always wait till I take it back for the 600 mile check and let them check it out, but it would be nice if I could replace a fuse Thanks in advance for the info.

How do I find Pin Wall Cycle Parts? Does anyone know the E-mail address or Web Site? I'm looking for a C B Antenna for a "99 RSV. Mine broke off. Also, I know that these antennas were a recall item, but our local Yamaha Shop says that the recall only applied to the first 2 years in service. Any comments on their reply?

Hey! Can anyone explain the difference between a CD and TC ignition system? I am looking at an alternative tach and the manufacturer (If you are interested): http://autonnicmanufacturing.com/Home_files/Page1237.htm said theirs would work on a 4 cycle, 4 cylinder engine if it were not a CD system. Manual says 2nd gens have a TC digital system. Just wondering.

Back in the mid 80's, along the Blue ridge parkway(somewhere), there were 2 motorcycle only campgrounds. They were just off the parkway a very short distance. I believe one was called High County Cycle Camp. Was just wondering if they were still there, and if they are still open. Gil

This has probably been discussed before and a thorough search may result in my answer, so far it hasn't.... A buddy just bought a 1500 wing without the CD system on it. We were trying to decide how difficult it might be to use a regular CB unit in a pocket and build a harness that could adapt to the cycle intercom system to allow bike to bike communication. Has anybody done this, or does anybody know of any ready made adapters that would plug into a factory intercom system?

I'm in the market for a cycle lift. I see that lots of folks here use the Sears lift (the $100 model). In researching that particular model on the Sears site, people seem to really **dislike** that model (lots of 1's on a scale of 5). LOTS of complaints about shoddy workmanship, broken pumps, etc. So I'm looking for an expert's perspective (yours) on the "best" cycle lift! I'm leaning towards the Larin MAL2 (~$190.00). All thoughts, comments, experiences would be appreciated.

I moved from a two car garage to a small one car garage. I can get the bike and car both in but can't maneuver it. I think the cycle dolly would work great and was just wondering if anyone has used it. http://www.cyclestuff.org/CycleDolly.html Thanks Jim

Since I bought my new 1997 RS I have problem with the small piece of Lexan they call Winshield. I'm 5'10" and it seems to be more a deflector (IT cachs all the wind and send it too my chestt and face). There is no brand, and I'm quite sure is not an Yamaha OEM, since the brackest are more like the National Cycle stile than the originals. Yesterday searching for any mark or logo on the Lexan, I found a code NC136 (A confirmation of National Cycle may be?) but nothing else. Some one else has the same kind of winshield on the Royal Star. This is about 11" on top of the notch for the headlight.. I would like to know where and what to order for replacement before to buy a full new tall Yamaha one. Thanks
