I just pulled the flywheel out to send to Dano to do the starter clutch upgrade. As long as I'm in there, is there anything else I should be checking out or doing? I will also be pulling out the clutch to put in the HD spring from PCW Racing, and plates if needed. Again, anything else that I should be checking out while in there? -
Did everyone who ordered headwraps recieve them? ...I've only heard back from 2 members... with over 30 sent out ...just checking .everyone should have recieved them by now...........

well im having trouble with my 83 venture xvz12 it wont start ive changed the tci checked the picup coils and omed out the coils and they are all checking out fine but still no spark can any body give me some thought of what i could do next

wow, there were quite a few brave souls who rode their bikes, even though it was below zero. lots of people walking and checking out the vendors. we had a great meal, did some walking and checking out the customs, only seen one 84 or 85 goldie. the outdoor beer garden had cold beer. we did not find any live bands this time. cheers, Scott

I REALLY don't care for the Vinyl seats / backrests on my 07 Venture. They make me sweat more than Leather did on my previous bikes. Has anyone here had them recovered with Leather? I am thinking about checking with a few upholsterers here in Omaha to see what they would charge. What do you think? craigr

Hi all! Sorry I havent posted in a while but I've just been busier than a cat trying to bury a turd on a marble floor! When I ran across this add on CL for a near by 1stgen parts bike I thought I'd take a minute to mention it in case there is anyone in need. Also, if anyone talks to the guy and needs someone local to check something out on it or anything I'd be happy to try and find a little time to help out. I'm thinking about checking out the tow hitch parts myself. I will set aside a little time here in the next couple days to catch up on some posting and all that stuff. I know there are lots of threads about headsets already here, but I didn't feel they applied. I've just purchased a 00 Millenium RSV. I pick it up at Thanksgiving. I would like to get a headset ordered that works with the factory plug. I've been checking the WWW and the options are way too many to know what to do Can you guys recommend the best one for this bike. I have open faced Fulmer helmets with a face shield. Thanks and love the sight.

Hey all. I just joined up a couple weeks ago, found many helpful tips in the forums already! Now I need some help from the collective experience pool. I am in the middle of a mini vacation (run down the Oregon coast) and my tail lights are out. I got pulled over for it lastnight and now I'm stranded in Yachats. By the way, the police in Newport Oregon are a really nice bunch of guys! Anyway, my bike is an 89, I have been getting an intermitent warning light on the dash, sometimes it blinks, sometimes solid. I kept checking my headlight. I've checked the fuses on top of the battery and they are all good. I know I should spend more time checking old posts before asking but I'm trying to salvage the happy fun time part for my wife kids and granddaughter while dealing with this at the same time. So, any advice is welcome and just ask for what ever details that might help. I will be checking in as often as I can. thanks in advance, Robert

what exactly does it mean that the guys attorney has file a Motion for Discovery ? he also put in a motion for bond reduction...... i keep checking the public court records daily to see if anything new shows up and these entries were added to the record yesterday.

This is about the worst electrics problem I've ever seen. No lights, signals, gas guage, speedo..........NOTHING on my 2003 Midnight Venture. Any ideas where to start looking? The manual (the cheapy little user one, not the shop jobby) refers to three fuse boxes: the "main" one, number 1.....and number 2. Are there really 3? Should I be checking fuses......or go straight to looking for burned/disconnected wires? The previous owners DID do a fair bit of fooling around: passing lights...LED's...alarm.....etc. Any thoughts GREATLY appreciated! Mike

Is it me or has this been a slow year for noted winter projects discussions on the forum? Since I ended up doing my winter project last summer of replacing my transmission gearset, other than a planned cleaning and checking the bike out for some loose bolts, I don't seem to have much planned. I may try to get motivated and get my solid motor mounts made and get them replaced. RandyA
