  1. okay folks, my annual st. charles meet is just a little over a month and a half off. this is my third year and i have made it a little longer this year since it has been so much fun, and to give people time to come a farther distance. for details don has put a sticky under rides and rallies and meet and eats. i have listed motels and the meet agenda. if you want to bring friends that is fine. we don't care what they ride. all i ask is that you let me know how many to expect, so i can figure the dessert on thursday night and and food, soda, and beer for the barbeque on saturday after the big ride. i look forward to this every year and linda and i look forward to seeing you all. if you need more info don't hesitate to pm me. bill :clap2:
  2. ……. to meet Carbon One (Larry Skeels). I knew I was going to be in Larrys’ neck of the woods in Michigan. I have relatives in the area. Called Larry up before I left saying I’d be in the area and would it be ok to come over, meet him and take a look at one of his lift adapters and just chat. We met at a time that was good for both of us. He is one pure gentleman, plain and simple!!! We talked about his trike, the mods he’s done, we crawled up under it so I could see how the lift adapter worked and answered all my questions with sincerity and a smile. He invited me in his home, met his wife, two dogs and to take look at his winter project (and newly renovated kitchen) and checked out some of the archery trophies. I’m a better person to have met Larry, and I encourage anyone if they get a chance to meet him also. I'm sure any one else who has met him with agree with me. p.s …… I did get the lift adaptor and it works as described. Thanks again Larry. A new friend, Ed.
  3. Things have been a little crazy here at work. Haven't been able to spend much time on the site. Did anyone pick a date for the Jan meet n eat in Clear Lake IA?
  4. Lowell has arrived at the Dragon's Lair.......spending the nite....catching up on everything..........Todd Lowell has left some parts here for you...........maybe we can meet up one day for coffee or such.
  5. got a couple of requests from the members. since the riding season is approaching. i need to ask the members to first start thinking about registering for the international rally, so cinderella can get the orders together for the t-shirts, and since she has graciously took on the task of making the name buttons, so she doesn't get backed up on that. we will also have to let the hub know about what to expect so they can figure the food for the big dinner which they are catering. i also would like to get a rough count for the attendees for my st. charles meet in may, so i can figure the food etc. not trying to pressure anyone, cuz i know the economy is affecting many of us. but if you have an idea that you are planning on comming please let us know. thanks, bill ,and the planning committee.

  13. Heads up Hoston! Sat. 10th, meet and eat at Bevers Kitchen on Main St. in Chapel Hill 11:00 A. M. Trying to find a central meeting point then ride for about 1 1/2-2 hrs then eat. Or mayby leave it up to individuals to get there however they want and meet at scheduled time to eat. Bevers Kitchen is north of 290 at the Shell station on right like you were heading to Austin. Ron/ Pappa Bear
  20. Hey Padre seems you somehow turned off receiving PM's. So I can't send you a reply. Anyway, Jeff said we'll meet you at the clubhouse at 9 on sat. if you get to go. We'll probably be stopping up at Bethel store to meet up with ADC. Should be a nice trip. Margaret
  21. hey, michael. don't want to put you on the spot, and not going to ask why your selling your bike. just want to know if you are going to hang with us. i know alot of folks including linda and i would miss you and terri if you were to stray away from the group. hope you are not getting out of bikes, cuz we are looking forward to seeing you at my st. charles rally and the international meet in 09. please don't go no where you have a bunch of friends on here. ain't that right guys? bill
  22. It is going to be a great riding day today. Around 9 or so I am going to be heading out and about and if anyone within say 150 miles of Fayetteville (NC) wants to meet up for coffee I'd be all for it!
  23. kind of want to get an idea how many people as of now are planning to attend my 2009 st. charles, mo.. rally may 7th ,8th, and 9th, 2009. this was formerly a one day meet and eat. this year may be my last one, so i decided to make it a regular rally, since the last three were such a success. i am going to try to get a page together and will have the motels, and events listed, in the next couple of weeks. got really neat plans for this year. hope i get a good turn out like we have had in the past. it will be a meet to remember. guess i'm just going to have to face the fact i ain't a kid anymore and slow down a little. hope to see you all there. snarley bill :clap2:
  24. think we are getting there on the 09 rally. we are going to have vendors, probably some biker type games, lots of planned and random rides. good food, a final dinner, comeraderie, raffles, and what the heck else am i forgetting? i need help from the members. give me some ideas on things that we can do to make this the best meet ever. i am open to all suggestions. it's your meet and we (the meet committee), want every one to have a great time, and go home with lots of good memories. don't hold back we will take all ideas into consideration. if any of our members have something bike related they would like to have in the vendor area. contact danob11. he is the vendor guy and would be glad to work with you. if any one in the area, or that knows the area wants to put together and lead a ride contact me or colesgrandpa. he is my ride coordinator. i am personally going lead a ride to eureka springs for an on the town shopping spree for the gals, my wife is a pro shopper. lol. we still need some one to volunteer to put together a video on a dvd of the pic's and videos of the meet that the members have taken. so the members can enjoy the good memories. if it seems like i am shoving this meet down your throat, it's not meant to be that way. black owl told me don't let the members forget, and i really believe in what he said. so give me some ideas on what you folks think might make tis the ultimate meet. this ones for you. snarley bill :clap2:
  25. Just wondering if anybody has heard from Tim since he left Jacksonville? I haven't seen any posts from him which is unusual after a meet and eat.
