they are ultra powerful, and handle like a crotch rocket. well, almost. big thing is they have so much low end torque you don't have to down shift unless you drop below 30 mph. will walk up most any hill two up at 40 and excelerate. with out shifting down. no bucking or shaking. just like a turbine.

i used my reverse one time so far. backing out of wtho's driveway. i used to have to plan ahead how to park there now i can just pull in, and back out. going to keep an eye out for them pirates. :rotf:

i agree with buddy and don. i liked my royal star but legs just would'nt take the weight anymore. came close to dumping it many times to the point where my wife was scared to get on it. i really love this wing. no bikes perfect and the foot pegs were my problem. have that worked out now. i,m not a traitor to yamaha. i love all bikes, be they ugly, terrible riding, etc. never seriously made fun of what someone else rides, although i some times can't figure their choice. if you enjoy having and riding what you have thats what it's all about. you still ain't gonna run me off no matter what i ride.

glad everyone had a great time at maintenance day. great turnout. things never seem to line out for me to get there. maybe next year. muffin man and minnie sure look good on the bike. great job brad it is beautiful.

got lots of possibilities, muffler would be the first thing to go. some nice wheels and a little engine chrome. think i will have to pass on this one. i'm building my last hot custom now. i think .lol. bill

just got back from a long ride this morning. no problems at all. it's all about the footwear. i said along time ago.i quit riding tricycles, and wearing diapers along time ago and i sure ain't never going to do it again. when i can't handle two wheels, i'll buy a convertible. not that i'm knocking trikes, just not for me.

got the problem cured. just went for a midnight ride and wore different shoes. soles on the work boots i've been wearing are just to thick and heavy. big improvement. probably have to learn to ride my vstar all over again after the newness wears off the wing. did drag the highway boards in a curve today showing off for some guy following me on a harley. this thing will cut a mean curve.

actually the seating position does'nt bother me at all. knees not the problem. just getting my feet on the ground is the big problem. i will get used to it. think i will do more stopping and practice. other than that no complaints at all. what a ride.

rode my new wing over 300 miles today and these darn footpegs are dealing me a fit. they are exactly in the position where i have to put mt feet down when i stop, and they really stick out there. having one heck of a time timing putting my feet down and stopping. it is really getting frustrating. i almost feel like a newby rider. it is worst then my rstd was at low speeds. other than that it is awesome. any of you goldwing boys got any ideas? bill:2133:

went on a 300 + mile solo ride this morning. allan and wayne where the heck were you. waited till 6:15 for allanh, and was at hardees at 7:30 am and waited for wayne till 8:37 and went by his house. well all was not lost. got the wing broke in and can change the oil and filter now. that was my goal for today. talk about a long ride. not as much fun when your by yourself. bill
