  1. I am so glad I don't live in Calgary anymore! My wife will be there Wed evening until Sat on business...hope ya'll get rid of that white stuff before she gets there.
  2. Basically I'm just fixin a few "errors" from the last time I painted it and then a complete re-clear coat. (did I say I made errors...OMG!) The color is metallic black...first out on a 1977 Dodge product... paint code is PX8 if anyone's interested. I finally broke down and bought a compressor so using professional equipment and automotive clear produces a nicer job than what I used a year ago. ooops... did I just expose the 2009 RSV hoax? Can hardly wait to get her all back together and start ridin!
  3. Here it is folks, the 2009 RSV as seen during the build process.... most of it is covered up soas to not allow too much of a preview before the actual release date of May 1st, 2008.
  4. 102F = 38.9 celcius = wayyyy too hot! 77F = 25 celcius = PERFECT riding temp ... not too hot, and never feel cold.
  5. April 18/19 ... Vancouver BC, Canada ... highs plus 5 Celcius ... snowed in the evening and overnight... Totally uncommon for this area... should be around plus 15...GAWD what's happening???
  6. My mistake... I thought he'd just installed Firefox and couldn't find the IE favorites. Don't ask me how I came to that conclusion ?????? DUH on me LOL
  7. After all these years...and I even took courses on Tax preparation... I never knew this... If I was single and my wife was single and we weren't living common law....we'd be getting a refund of just over $4000 between the 2 of us on our 2007 taxes. Since we're married (or even if we were living common law), we're getting a refund of appx $390. The reason is...as I sadly discovered...is because when the federal and provincial tax credits are calculated, it takes into account the spouse's NET income and since both of our net incomes are considerably more than the tax credit amounts, we both get NOTHING for a tax credit. In short, we are being penalized two-fold because we are married. What a freakin rip off!!! And I would bet that the Canada pension will penalize us accordingly. Time to get a DIVORCE!
  8. no Cigar??.... awwwwww ok... how about a joint then? LOL :rotf:
  9. A classic example of " K.I.S.S. " .... here we all were... lookin for the worst scenario...
  10. ya made me read it three times just to figgure out if'n maybe I read it wrong too...
  11. Isn't that "standard practise" the way houses are built nowadays.... :rotf:
  12. You'd better be sorry!!!
  13. Might it be that one fork is higher up in the triple tree than the other... wouldn't take much at all to cause the front tire to be at a bit of an angle... one wouldn't think this possible because the axle itself should keep the tire in alignment but maybe not. well, it's a thought....
  14. It would seem to me that your tires are in line but is there a twist in your forks at the triple trees? This would cause your handlebars to be slightly "off centre"... in other words, when tires are straight, handlebars aren't at exactly 90 degrees. I had this on my '87.. had to loosen everything and do a bit of twisting...wasn't out much but enuf that it seemed it was "pointed" wrong.
  15. hmmmmm... now if only I had known this when I had it all apart.... I'll check that next time tho...if I take it apart again before I sell it.
  16. ya, that's what I do too. I used to live in Alberta from 1984-1992. I had 3 vehicles there including a scoot (Goldwing at the time). Had them all insured thru one private ins co coz they gave discounts for multiple vehicles...it was real cheap at the time. Then I moved back to BC.... I'd sold the Goldwing and one of the other vehicles so only had one when I got to BC ... that one vehicle cost almost twice what all 3 cost in Alberta...what a rip off...and they're still doing it....and we can't do a thing about it.
  17. I have no way of confirming this (unless there's a code or part number somewhere I can check) but I'm pretty sure I have a Vmax rear end in my '87. I came to this conclusion after querying what other's RPMs with a first gen were at various speeds and gears. Overall, my RPM's were markedly higher, which to me would indicate a different gear ratio. I do know that this '87 has a lot more get up and go than my '85 did and if I drive it sanely, I get around 45mpg.
  18. Anyone living in an area where you have private insurance are lucky. Here in British Columbia we are forced to purchase our basic insurance from a government run (I say that somewhat loosely) insurance co. There is no competition for that and we all get raped because of it...in more ways than one. It costs me over $1000 a year just for a million third party, $500 deductible on fire & theft. Call that crooked or what?... now check this out...this is more of their crookedness... http://www.canada.com/theprovince/news/story.html?id=3960fd1c-9603-4039-88ec-3249be060923&k=50936
  19. Yep....gas keeps going up and up... so does taxes, so does food, so does entertainment, so what's new? We gotta eat, we gotta pay taxes, we gotta be entertained (lol), and we're gonna drive our vehicles... so pay the price and stop gripin!
  20. how does one insert an mpg video into a post so that it can be played...?
  21. I've never used item #5 so I could possibly supply all the ones I've saved up. Oh NO!!!... they'd be too small!! :rotf:
  22. I'm here to tell ya.... no teeth in certain situations can be verrrryyyyyy interestin! *evil grin* :rotf:
  23. A little "tip" that will make your formulas easier to a) create and b) read/debug.... use Named Ranges... then you won't have to reference sheets and cell ranges.
  24. C:\Documents and Settings\\Favorites In firefox, go to File | Import ... it's straightforward from there
  25. DITTO THAT! ... and that is why I will defend it until.....the day I stop working in this frustrating business LOL (at the very least, 4 more years)
