This is a bit late but we found a great campsite this summer in Nova Scotia on the Bay of Fundy. The campsite is run by the local town and you can camp right at the water's edge. I think this is close to where the highest tidal change was recorded. It goes from a few feet from your tent to up to a 1/4 mile away. Well... I still like 2 wheels but, it's a definite option in the future. It scares the stink out of you when you first get on it. I kept trying to put my foot down thinking it was going to fall.

Yes, it was Big Bob's. He let me take it for a test ride... I have to change my opinions of these machines. I think I had a big grin on my face when I got back. Its not a bike or a car but something completely different. You gotta remember that you're on 3, not 2 wheels.

This sounds crazy but the momentary passenger talk button was stuck in a pushed in condition and I was having problems with my radio. When I pulled it out, problem was solved. This isn't a button that is not checked all the time. Hope you find the gremlin.

Hey Tom, I came home to find one under my front step.(wasps) Tried spray but couldn't get directly at the nest so it didn't work. I went to a pest control place and the lady gave me ant and roach powder. The idea is the powder gets on the bug's legs and they bring it into the nest and give the powder to the queen. This was a good sized nest from the activity I seen so I pumped a bunch of powder in and around the hole, waited about 2 days, applied again and again a week later to kill the wasps that had hatched after the first and 2nd application. It seems to have worked. I am going to apply another coating in a day or two just to make sure. I am told the foam spray only works if it can be applied directly into the nest. As the above suggestion, I would only apply at night when it gets cooler. They are less active then. Good Luck. Tom

engine noise through headset

This is kind of related. Big Tom helped me with some radio shack magnets on the J and M headset cords for any regular engine noise I was getting. It worked very well for me. My problem is I get the favourite and famous clutch whine in my J and M mike which goes to the headphones. This means that I have to keep the volume on the IC down unless we need to communicate. The clutch whine is in a particular set of frequencies. Here is my idea. I have done some recording engineering in the past and I know you can use a parametric equalizer to find these frequencies and lower the volume but maintain the regular voice volumes. The technology is there, I just don't have the time to develop this. Does anyone know if someone has developed something like this for motorcycle headsets? I haven't looked into the mike mute buttons yet. -
