  1. looks interesting. was wondering if anyone tried it. http://www.ebay.com/itm/120813345975?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649.
  2. i like the color too. what is the code, and which paint did you use? did you spray a clear over it? did you add Flex to the paint? thanks.
  3. ok. so im leaking oil from the top of the left side case cover. its spraying onto floorboard, not cool. i figure while i have it off, i might as well replace stator. should i go with a Ricks? or someone else. also, which gaskets am i going to need. the parts fiche is a little vague. should i do the r/r also? which vendor for that? any help would be appreciated. thanks.
  4. got mine! thanks! its pretty freakin awesome!!
  5. during that trip, we reached speeds over 100. no issues at all. i love the setup and will continue to run it.
  6. i also live in florida. i went with an e3 on the rear, and a venom-s on the front. did a nice ride last week, about 400 miles, had some good pucker moments myself. time to do the fork switch and r1 calipers soon!
  7. i have the k&n, no problems at all. i did pay about 60 for it.
  8. forget the post, how about my past!
  9. awesome gps mount!
  10. probably just wiser!
  11. i have just the single low beam in mine at 6000k. superbright! its been in about 6 months with no issues at all. not even at starting. also, here is the cmu layout for a jumper wire to get the headlight warning icon off the dash.
  12. thats a great question. sounds like a new project, not like im not thinking about enough of them already. i was considering trying to adapt a wunderlich bar bag, just for things like cell, wallet, etc.
  13. progressive does make one. heres a link to one on ebay. http://www.ebay.com/itm/130493199499?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649. i removed the class system and just pump mine up by hand. although when i replace the motor and trans(2nd gear issue), i will probably replace the rear shock.
  14. i plan on keeping the old ones yammer. just trying something new.
  15. never again. 3 wives was 4 too many.
  16. 24 gallons!? ha! thats more than the victory cross country! now i have to do it! besides, i can weld up some brackets to the ammo cans. maybe use a light bar for flashers, and put reflective tape on back of them. and oh, mount some liter fuel bottles to them. thing i might have something here....probably just a migraine! cool zuki.
  17. yep, considered side pelicans. still going for high dollar on ebay. there is a top loading pelican in desert tan that might work. model 1430. found those for about 80. not quite as big. the seller of the ammo cans wrote me, and said they weigh 14lbs each. how much does a factory case weigh? i dont have a scale. can anyoneone tell me by the measurements i posted, what the capacity of the ammo cans are?
  18. well, the sure size of these make for more ability to tour. the stock bags just dont compare. they are big, and i would have to move, or build the turn signals into them. 19x14.5x10. i have a pelican box i can mount to the top with a little manufacturing. just an idea. i can paint the cans to match the bike.
  19. has anyone tried mounting ammo cans to first gen? saw some on ebay for flares! big cans! i asked the seller to weigh them.
  20. post office? they still open these days??
  21. wah! i didnt get mine yet........
  22. different part number on the fiche for 86, thanks anyhow.

  24. ive got the ruger p93 in 15rd. ive shot thousands of rounds through it with about a 1% failure. combat gun. carried the baretta 9 for years in the service. its gets sloppy after awhile, not true with the ruger. good luck, bad guys beware!
  25. i havnt done a HUGE trip like that on my 83, but just did a 9hr trip yesterday. no issues. of course, i have a new agm, h.i.d.s, new ngk's, new fuse block(skydoc), new fuel filter, new air filter(k&n), new custom wires(ngk), fresh fork oil, new avons, speedbleeders, etc. im having the 2nd gear issue....didnt matter, just went around it. had no problem passing my friends ultra and softail! did run some seafoam thru first tank, averaged about 36mpg. ran it hard! have fun!
