  1. OH to be a fly on the wall . . Sguidly sitting on the floor , thumb in mouth, Blanky in hand held to side of that cupcake face. watching Captian Kangaroo. :rotfl::rotfl:
  2. I am very sorry to hear that. Hope he found Himself a good spot to watch you and was able to be in your hearts for Christmas.
  3. Hey consider yourself lucky. . . Most people in your situation only get a gift at Christmas and are then told { Oh yes and this is for birthday too } But I am not like that so Happy Birthday
  4. Had all 5 of our kids home and healthy, plus there other halfs. Also our son in laws sister and brother (they have a mother in Utah But no other family but themselves up here). And a first Christmas with our six month old Grandson. I also got to visit my Father in the hospital, something as you all know I have been unable to do for maney weeks because of my coughing. Still not as good as it would have been If He was out and among us but better than not seeing Him at all. On the down side my Son in law was a perfect help to my wife with setting up dinner and cooking etc. Boy I can see now what will be expected of me next year. All my years of hard work at messing things up, just so I could be told to sit down and get out of the way, down the tubes just because of Him. WARNING: you guys with daughters beware of thier perfect husbands and boy friends. After years of bliss your wife suddenly gets the Idea, once again that you can be retrained.
  5. Merry Christmas to you and Hope as well Charlie
  6. Sadly My father is still in very bad shape and will be spending Christmas in the Hospital although in his present condition he has no idea were he is, I guess in one way it is blessing since he is unaware of what he is missing. I went into see him today, the 1st time since they threw me out. It was good to see him even if he only recognised me long enough to say Hi Ben and then drift off to where ever it is he goes. The only way to deal with his absence is to remember all the good Christmas's we have enjoyed together over the years and hopefully he will be with us next Christmas. Having said all that I wish a Very Merry Christmas to all my Venture friends and thier loved ones and Hope Santa is good to all of you. P/S any extra chrome received as gifts can be regifted my way, and I promise not to complain about being regifted too. Ben
  7. Merry Christmas to you too Don and Merry Christmas to everyone else else as well. May you all have a great one
  8. I tried the coated elixers on my seagull accustic, and I did not like them. I found that the sound quality was a little dead or flat not as crisp or clean as a proper set. I put a set of D'Addario phosphor bronze EJ16 light .012 - .053 strings on and I reaally love the sound. I also found these strings seem to hold thier tunning better. TIP replace the plastic string pegs with hard wood ones such as ebony or rose wood. it really improves the sound quality of an accustic quitar. With regards to keeping the quitar in the case, it has one down fall --out of sight out of mind--. This is why I keep mine on a stand next to the couch. If you are concerned about humidity there is a humdifer you can buy. It is a thin sponge encased in a vinyl pouch. The pouch is designed to fit the sound hole and the inside surface has holes in it to allow the moisture to escape into the guitar.if the guitar is stored in a damp area put it in dry to help reduce moisture. It is also usefull to leave in when practicing so as to quiet the guitar down a bit when the wife is upstairs sleeping. This might lust save you from getting your head bit off the next day (no gauranties though).
  9. Pace yourself. . . .set your rythm to the chimes of the church bell P/S make sure there are no icecream or tool sharping trucks in the area :rotfl:
  10. I dont see anythign wrong with this law. 1st it only prohibits sexual activity after sundown, well your not going to get maney spectators after sundown anyway, and since it obviously implies that before sundown is ok. Heck your going to get more spectators then anyway :rotfl:
  11. You people are all fools and you all fell for it :rotfl: , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,Tom was just useing this thread to check out your living quarters so he can plan were to crash on his road trips You might save your selves by telling him your town just ran out of icecream
  12. Heading back in sept?????? I would have thought you would stick around just long enough to see some of the white stuff we are all so fond of up here. P/s dont forget to turn all your papers and books right side up before you start reading them, that goes for road maps too:rotfl::rotfl:Looking forward to seeing you in May.

  18. I have mixed together so maney differeent leftovers and loved almost all off them. Left overs are also a great way to loose weight. You just eat enough to satisfy knowing the leftovers will become part of something new and good the next day or so.

  21. Well they have been letting Dad breathe more on his own again, at first just during the day and now almost all the time. His breathing is still through the trachea tube, they just don’t hook it up to the ventilator unless they need too. Tuesday they used a winch to lift him out of bed and put him in a chair, from what I was told went not too badly, but Wed. he did not want them to do it. The one incision is still oozing a lot and the doctors are now saying that they do not know why. They are also still suctioning fluid from his lungs. . Mom said that he is so weak that he can barely lift his arm or even hold a pencil. Some times he looks so sad and even lets the odd tear out that Mom is afraid that he wants to give up. He keeps asking for me but this stupid cold I have just will not go away. Its not so bad now, I only cough occasionally but they still will not let me in, which is understandable given his condition
