  1. The first one to post after the current holder of the book gets it......it would be to hard to keep up with a list of those who want it.........
  2. Ok, Wayne is the lucky one this time, I will get it out to you via Priority Mail.......... Remember to post so someone else can get it.......... Randy, looks like you need to be a little quicker next time................
  3. Mine was a 1969 Honda SL90, dual purpose bike, was one of the first by Honda for street and dirt. It was Blue with Silver accent stripes, great bike, had tons of fun on it. From there I went to a 71 CL350.........wish I still had one of those..........
  4. While at Vogel I was presented with a book written by Peter Egan, titled Leanings. Peter Eagan is a contributing editor of Cycle World, Road & Track and a few other mags. These are stories and articles taken from Cycle World and are very good reading. YammerDan presented me with the book, and stipulated that the book had to be passed on to any member who wanted to read it. I am the 4th to have it according to the signatures in the cover. So if you are interested in reading it just post your request here with your mailing address and I will forward it on to you, when you are finished you must sign it, inside the front cover, and post here for the next person to read. That simple. Dan, you forgot to sign it so I will "forge" your name in it. And a big THANK YOU, to the person who bought this book, it was great reading.
  5. You gotta be real proud of your two "BOYS", may they come home safe and sound. Many, Many thanks for their service...................
  6. Prayers going up from here for quick and full recovery...................
  7. Original poster ( a fairly new guy) is irked he cant decipher our titles, now he (the fairly new guy on blue RSTD ) wants us to be practical and make them easy to find..........If we were practical (first gen riders) we wouldnt ride antique bikes, if we were practical (2nd gen riders) we wouldnt take some posts south, if we were practical, we wouldnt be here, would we...................So everyone keep up the good work.:stirthepot: QUOTE=Aussie Annie;377760]It's a'headin' that way, ain't it!!
  8. Will it float when you cross your swollen creek............
  9. Karl, the wife and I are praying for you.........sure hope the Dr's can get you some relief. My wife suffers from the same thing as you, but she cant get on a bike at all, she cant stand for more than 5 minutes at a time. The Dr's just keep trying new things and say she isnt bad enough to go on disability....what a crock. Nothing works, and they dont want to try surgery till she looses more weight. Good luck and keep us posted.
  10. Glad you made it home safe..........you missed a great time at Vogel, hope to see you soon, your always welcome to come down here and visit us........you know the way and we will keep a light on for you.

  20. All right, Vogel is over, everybody is well rested and it is time for the us to wrap up our St. Jude drive for 2009. I want to thank everyone who helped make this a very successful year for Ventureriders and St. Jude Children's Hospital. So far we have over $3200.00 to present them with thanks to the deep pockets of our members. The ride will take place on Sept. 12, 2009. We will be meeting at the Flying J Truck Stop in W. Memphis, Ark. It is located at the junction of I-55 & I-40, which is the last exit before you cross the Mississippi River into Memphis, Tn. We will meet there at 11:00 am in the parking lot, then we will have lunch in the Flying J, from there it is a 3-4 mile ride across the river to Memphis, Tn. where we will be taking a tour of St. Jude Children's Hospital. This is a fantastic place to see, you wont believe you are in a hospital, it looks more like a day care center. After the tour if you would like, some of us will be going down to Tunica, Ms. and we can eat at one of the fine buffets at Harrah's Casino and whatever else you might try your hand at there. One little reminder here, if you want to bring some kind of small gift, remember no stuffed animals, but coloring books, crayons, puzzles, crosswords, books are things they could use. I know we discussed teddy bears, but they just cant take a chance on those, due to the weak immune systems these kids have. Or if you or your company would like to make a donation, please make the checks out to St. Jude Children's Hospital. A donation or prize is not required to make this ride. Thanks to all again and look forward to seeing you at The 3rd Annual St. Jude/Mean Dog Memorial Ride.
