  1. My 07' RSV in my avatar.
  2. Puke slime green!?!?!? Oh man that hurts! I LOVE that color combo! And we all know Galaxie Blue over Raven Black is the fastest...........
  3. Nooooo, you don't want it in black!! Candy Lime Greeen!!! SUUUUUUUWEEET!
  4. That's awesome! I wish my parents did that when I was young. It would have helped out alot of problems I had growing up that I had to deal with on my own.
  5. No complete redesign needed. Update the fairing a little bit, ADD GUAGES, ditch the cassette and the cd player, add ABS and fuel injection. Maybe a sixth gear? Do SOMETHING about the clutch chirp. Not everyone would be happy, some will find faults as with some of the comments about the Voyager. No bike is perfect for everyone. Example, I love the looks of the Vaquero, exept for the side opening bags. I think side opening bags are stupid. BUT!!!!, when my bike is all paid for, I may buy one as a second bike. They don't bother me enough to not buy one. I talked to a Yamaha rep two years ago. He said that they do monitor the forums, especially this one. I really do not think you will ever see a 3rd Gen. I would not hold my breath. And if they do offer one, will it be priced competitely? Right now a new 2nd Gen is just over 20K. The Voyager I rode with an intercom and cb was at 18K.
  6. New RSV will be out this year so we will see.. :rotf::rotf::rotf::rotf::rotf::rotf: But seriously, I think the Voyager handled waaaaay better than the Venture.
  7. Actually if I was to gete the anything new it would be the Vaquero Special Edition. That candy lime green rocks. The bike definately handles way better than the RSV. I have too much invested in my RSV to get rid of it, but for a second bike, the Vaquero would be in the garage next to it.
  8. Took a Vulcan Voyager 1700 out for ride at Detroit Bike Week today. VERY nice bike. I think it blows the Venture away in handling and ride. Real nice dash. Gobs of power. Man when you bang second gear, yikes, she takes off. Makes me think about a new bike.
  9. Personally, I DO think Harley builds a beautiful machine. BUT, they are overpriced, quality is suspect and I bash them because alot of the people that ride them have the attitude that unless your riding a Harley, your not riding a motorcycle. Alot of the HD boys here in Michigan will not wave to you as you pass. Metric riders do. They bring it on themselves. I personally could care less what law enforement rides. But as long as HD riders have that holyer than thou attitude, I will bash away. Don't care less who likes or dislikes it. I know that if I was in the market for new touring bike, it would be a Kawasaki.
  10. That's because the Harley's can't make enough power to get out of their own way let alone catch a metric!
  11. You ain't right!
  12. Just give them your charge card and bank account numbers and pay it. Jeez oh Pete.
  13. When I was tailgated last Saturday, I was in the right hand lane. The clown had two other lanes to go fast in. Plus, riding through Roseville and Fraser, the police WILL pull you over at 5 mph over. So twisting the throttle to pull ahead is not an option. Plus the clown would have just kept up riding my butt. I will never throw anything from the bike. I prefer the "hands on" method.
  14. Man, you guys are spiteful........I like it.
  15. I do it as a hobby. I can't paint during the winter. No heat in the garage. Just in the warmer weather. The heat Saturday made it hard to spray the clear, but I got it. Should be wrapped up later this week. Earleier if I end up layed off. We have no work and I predict there will be lay-offs soon!
  16. You COULD have just left her home!! Then you would have had plenty of room in the bags.
  17. I like that! I do try to be patient, but sometimes you get someone that just needs to be educated the hard way. I don't think this individual was expecting to be pulled through the window. I think he got the message. Some things I just cannot let go or ignore.
  18. Wow, looks good. You must have a good painter!
  19. Funny this thread appeared. I have NO TOLERANCE tor tailgaters. I actually had to get off the bike yesterday (Saturday) morning on my way to work. When someone tailgates me, I kind of turn sideways alittle and motion with my thumb to back off. If that does not work I get off the bike at the next light and ask them why they are tailgating me. Yesterday morning some a$$hole was doing just that on Groesbeck. I motioned for him to back off, (I was in the right hand lane on a 3 lane road) he just got closer. At the light at 13 mile turned back and told him to back off. He jerked up closer almost hitting me. Game on b*&ch! Off the bike and in through his side window I went. I grabbed him by the shirt and pulled him through the window a bit and asked him what the problem was. Told him if he hits my bike, he's going to the hospital. He did not think he was so funny with my hands on him and my face in his. In the words of Strother Martin... Some poeple you just can't reach.....well that's the way he wants it.....well.....he get's it. Poeple tell me I need to manage my anger. But I would not have to if they would manage their stupidity.
  20. Goose, not everyone puts louder pipes on their bikes just to piss off others. Some of us just like the louder pipes. Some love how quiet a Goldwing is and how they look. Personally, I think they not only are too quiet, but look like ass. That's my opinion. Harley's are beautiful bikes, but they are overpriced and not as good in quality as any metric. That's my opinion. I do not like Motto Guzzi's, I think those are an abomination. I think that anyone who puts a car tire on a motorcycle is a complete fool. That's my opinion. Just because you or I or anyone else for that matter has a particular like, dislike or opinion, does not mean everyone should abide by it.This is known as individuality.
  21. I have Samson 29" turn outs. Loud, noisy, odnoxious, sweet sounding, awesome looking pipes. I can think of other things worse than loud pipes. Maybe if we all keep the stock pipes, we can keep the cassette decks, then paint all our bikes the same. It's called individuality. What I do, you may not like and vise versa. Too each their own. If my pipes are too loud for you, ride with someone else, no skin off my chin.
  22. How can debris get inside the ac system? If it's internal debris from the system falling apart, then Ford should pick up the tab for building crap. But me thinks the dealer is trying to put the screws to you. I would take it to another dealer. Sounds a bit fishy.
  23. The only reason I said anything about the helmet is because I saw first hand how little protection it did offer. Changes your perspective when you actually get someone elses blood on your hands as I realized I did when I got to work. I hope this does not turn into a helmet thread. I want poeple to just be aware of the non motorized dangers such as wildlife and even tree branches that fall on windy days. Please everyone be careful and ride safe so you can ride again. Randy
