  1. Here are a few pic's of the new trailer. Have not taken her down the road yet, as I need to license it and install a hitch on the RSV(coming soon). Adjustments are, added 25" to the tonge, flipped the axle over and raised the fenders, added tie down anchors, and built a tonge stand. Now, what ALL do I need for my RSV,too wire it properly to the flat 4-wire harness on the trailer. Is some type of wire converter all I need? After reading through a few posts, I'm a little confused (my life story). Thanks to all that have built a trailer and passed great tips/knowledge on to us. Happy Easter! Byron
  2. I'm with you here. When my RSV is outside idling, I don't smell anything and my dog sits right next to me

    HF Axle ?

OK, I think I got it. I will reverse the bolts in the leave springs(I removed the small one) so the alignment heads are facing up (when the trailer is up right). Then slide the axle in and attach the axle with the flat of the channel down (open side up), the reverse of the design. This HF trailer has 12" wheels and it seems high, so that is reason for flipping my axle. I also will be extending the tongue 22". Anything else I may be forgetting?

    HF Axle ?

When you guys flip the axle over on the trailer to put it on top of the springs, do you still rest it on the flat part (open channel up) or the round shaft side( open channel side down as in manual on the spring? Weld plates on or just drill the shaft to align the spacing? thanks

  7. Would there be any issues with not being able to get these tight enough so they won't vibrate loose? Don't want a bag to come loose.
  8. Thanks, going to tackle it this thursday!
  9. I just got my V-Twin clamps and have fabricated mounting brackets for the RK Classic muffler (# 98a) install. My ? is, are there exhaust gaskets that i need to purchase? Are there exhaust gaskets at all? I want to make sure I have everthing before I start the change out. Thanks, Byron

  13. It is an accessory plug that is hot with the key in the first position like the 12v plug on the left side of the fairing. That's where I wired in my satellite radio saddle. Yamaha doesnt even list or make a male plug end for that plug. I was told by a dealer to just cut it off and wire a new plug in.
  14. Where did the running boards come from, Hannigan also? Nice looking trike. Did you loose much power by adding the trike kit?

    Passing Lamps

Yep, leave them on all the time. I also run with my high beam on too. Yours must be adjusted to high.
  16. Where did you get the tank bib from? Fitting? Nice job!
  17. What model # are these pegs? They look like kuryakyn.
  18. What model Polk speakers are you installing? Do these fit without modification? How much better do they sound?
  19. The color should not be any different under the vinyl. I believe the only purpose for the vinyl is to break up and/or add lines of character to that big tank.
  20. Sling, what brand of tank bib do you have on your bike?
  21. Looking to remove the strip of vinyl on my 06 venture gas tank. Is this a big job? looks like a lot of glue, but a heat gun should do it. I'm going to be putting on or replacing it with a Hopnel tank bib tux with pouch. I don't want it to sit to high off the tank. Also will the black plastic upper tank piece(around the ignition) fit tight enough without the stock vinyl. thanks:think:
