After market seats for RSTD
plainmd replied to roadwarrior's topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
I had the same problem with a Honda shadow I used to own......I took my seat off and sent it to a company called butt buffer....They took my cover off and installed an polmer pad insert in the foam.....It retained the orginal look and height of the orginall seat...It made all the diffence in the world...Went from only being able to ride 50 miles without stretching to rideing all day....http://www.buttbuffer.com/info.asp -
My Multimeter has a tachometer function on it.....My Question is where would I hook the leads = red and black, without tearing my bike all apart.....I realize an inductive pickup would be easier but mine doesnt have one...

Fuel reserve question
plainmd replied to TheBreeze's topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
If you do use reserve and want to remember.....Take the key cover on the gas cap and move it over to expose the key slot as soon as you switch to reserve. That will give you a remeinder when you fill it up that you are in reserve......Not such a big deal with bikes with a gas guage but sure helped me with bikes that didnt have them. -
