  1. I woke this AM @ 5:30, looked at the world clock, 84 degrees in the house, 72 outside. My thermostat is a 7 day programmable and I've had it shut down at 11 PM and come back on at 7AM. - didn't want to wait, just push the down arrow and the air came on - Too bad I had to go out and make saw dust -
  2. I saw one of those at Rolling Thunder this year. I had the opportunity to watch him load and leave - the license plate was California. Pretty awesome machine and pretty wide
  3. Here ya go http://www.epgsoft.com/VisitedStatesMap/VisitedStatesMap.html look around, there's a list you can check the states you've visited then follow the instructions
  4. I really feel for those that have to work in non drafty area's. I have a whole house electric furnace in my garage for heat in the winter and I'm seriously considering adding an air unit to it. Probably can't afford it but what the heck, I was born nekid and broke, might as well leave that way.
  5. Well - if it ain't broke, no sense tryin to fix it
  6. No - no no ---- everything can be done overhead except the sump. Run the electric overhead and down the exit pipe. run you exit straight up to the floor joist and turn it to the nearest window/exit hole and outside. If you need to get it away from the house, put a hose or plastic pipe over it and send it wherever you need to.
  7. I'm sure your ship is docking but I'll bet it has too barnacles to get tied up. It'll most likely just keep on searching -
  8. kewl - I had images of you HD laying on it's side - because of wind this time
  9. My home was built so long ago that it had a dirt floor in the basement 'til last year when I cemented it, section by section. As well, in one area I dug a hole and inserted one of the HTH plastic buckets in and cemented around it and aimed the rest of the floor to it. never had water in the basement but it didn't cost anything to put the sump area in - just sayin' - - -
  10. - I'm making saw dust and I've got a vent fan in the window, a 21" box fan on the floor and it's still hotter than a fffiaf -
  11. Cleveland news channel 5 was on for 30 minutes or so showing maps and such. They were really contemplating a tornado and it looked like a lot of rain and wind. It was heading for Oberlin then it must have dissipated - nothing on the news this AM
  12. Ray Stevens did some pretty funny stuff - that was one of them btw - what is the fish of the day ? ( Carpe Diem ) I prefer Lake Erie Walleye over carp
  13. it looked like channel 5 was hoping for a tornado - kept saying things are right
  14. hope your not getting that storm that just went thru -
  15. DUHH - thanks - never thought to look at the calendar

  17. Retail prices are based on many factors - one of them being geographic location. A bike in Wisconsin doesn't have the same value as a bike in Georgia in mid September. The good thing about the internet tho is that that factor is somewhat balanced out whereas if a person doesn't mind a little travel time he/she can get what they want. Your price is probably a very fair price considering the extras as well as mileage. Someone already mentioned that an item, bike, car, or whatever is worth whatever the market will stand. Your bike is evidently in great shape and it is a very desirable color - you won't have any trouble selling it.
  18. Rick - I'm still impressed that Marilyn rode the V-Star 1100 to the IR but even more impressed that your kids rode with you and Marilyn. What a family adventure !! What's even more impressive is that they were enjoying themselves -- GREAT, just GREAT !!! btw - nice meeting you and your family, we'll meet again I'm sure. Glad you made it home safely -
  19. I used to enjoy scraping the pegs on my Wing until a friend was doing it and evidently caught his peg in a chuckhole in a curve. He was in the hospital for a week, took months to heal his broken ribs and his wife was beat up as well. I find it more comfortable to just clean the bugs and tar off the bottom by hand.
  20. Ok - now I'm confused. Are you saying that modulators blind oncoming or not ?? or is it just the HID lamp that blinds oncoming traffic ?? You rhetoric seems to touch on something but all I've managed to glean so far is that you don't like modulators and somehow oncoming traffic is or could be blinded. perhaps it's the 3 additional lamps in the aftermarket gauges that is doing it.
  21. Angel - I don't mind at all. When I'm being pick at, that just means that someone else is being spared but if it starts bothering me I'll just blame it on my favorite mechanic that will remain un-named Monty - oooops
  22. That's a horrible way to go and it just verifies that fact that as a biker, we are subject to so many variables that it would be impossible to forsee and evade all of them. All my best to his family
  23. bullet wound in the BACK of his head - this looks like a case of mis-information. I just heard the story on the radio ( I live 2 hours from Pittsburgh) and they failed to elaborate.
  24. go ahead and pack, watch a video of Yellowstone, next week unpack and find another video. Start the process over and over again until it's time to get the bike over to Sydney. Before you know it, you'll be cruising the states -
  25. actually, the "5 minute job" took about an hour because as usual I read the instruction last. I hooked the horn up, bolted the ground and was all set. EXCEPT - I hadn't taken the seat off yet, I DIDN"T fish the harness down thru the frame yet so I got to take it all apart and start over. No big deal tho - it was only 95 or so in the garage and I was already too far into it to get a fan for a little draft. That's when I decided to make a splitter for the power, had it not been for that, it most likely would have been a 10 minute job. But it did come out OK and it's loud !!
