I usually stick with Goodyears on my newer vehicle. On my old 95 Taurus SHO, I've installed Falkens on them and got close to 60K on each set. I don't run the Taurus hard anymore that is why tires last longer. Almost always, tire life also depends on your style of driving.

I should be able to ride today and tomorrow as well. Just watch out for those leaves on the road. Ride Safe.

Slowly drying up here in the southeast corner of PA. Schools are back in session. Remaining optimistic that I will see the sun tomorrow.

Wahooo! Christmas came early this year (Carbon One Lift Adapter)
N3FOL replied to GG54172's topic in Watering Hole
I still can remember the day my Carbon One Adapter arrived in my front door and I was just as happy to see the adapter...so excited to unpack and see how it really works. It is one of the best item I've purchased for the Venture. Congrats and enjoy doing your own maintenance at home.- 2 replies

Moving is not the easiest to do. I'd rather work all day than move belongings to a new location. Packing and Unpacking takes a few days and get everything organized. Hope being offline is not too long.

Another Purolator filter user here. I prefer the longer PL14610. Walmart has the best price for the Filter in our area.

Welcome! I also had my membership expire for awhile, but this forum is something I really enjoy posting random things. Facebook is getting a little too boring for now.

Rain and Wind is pounding our area right now. Parts of the town no longer have power. I am not sure how long electricity will stay on tonight in our neighborhood. Once the hurricane had pass, there will be some clean up to do. This weekend looks promising to work on the bike for routine maintenance. Stay Safe everyone affected by Hurricane Sandy.

Glad to hear you are doing ok. Keep those wounds clean all the time. You want to prevent infection. As far as your bike is concerned, as stated before, weigh your options and see how much money and effort you will have to spend in order to get your Venture back in running condition. Heal Well.

What MC jack for the RSV?
N3FOL replied to Mike G in SC's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
I've had my J&S jack for 4 years now and I am very satisfied with it. Checkout the jack via http://www.jsjacks.com -
inputs on the venture's, likes and do not likes
N3FOL replied to gamberch's topic in General Tech Talk
+100 on that. Likes: Easy to maintain and fun to work on. Smooth ride and more than enough power for my riding needs. Dislikes: Not enough LED light accessories available out there. -
Looking forward on checking these websites soon. I am shopping for the best price on a pair of air filters.

Snow fall is expected in Western MD. due to a cold front coming in from the west. If the hurricane comes closer to the coast, MD and PA may feel a lot of wind and rain. Not looking forward to this weather and it will eat some of my ride time...so I am taking advantage of this nice weather we've had this week. ...oh well, I think I'll just replace spark plugs and coolant this Saturday. Bike is at 32500 miles.

Excellent choice for your new ride. btw, I also have an '07 RSV and I love it.
-
You've added a few accessories on the bike and it looks like it is in good condition. 8500 bucks is a good asking price. Hope you get a lot of inquiries for the bike and I hope you also plan to get a new scoot down the road.

My wife offered.....I turned it down. AM I CRAZY?!?!
N3FOL replied to BigLenny's topic in Watering Hole
I will climb mountains to make anything possible for my wife. Re-scheduling clients is not a bad idea. Just make up a very good excuse for them next time. Must keep the wife happy all the time. -
It may be one of these ---->

I work too much on this end as well. Weather permitting, I take the Venture to and from work. Riding season in not over yet untill we really see white stuff on the ground. As for this coming week in our region, we should reach the mid 70's everyday up to Friday. Ride safe everyone.

That one surely has all the comforts of home. It is home away from home. Enjoy.

I also noticed that the price has been going up. However, I do believe that a lot of people will continue to buy the product due to its proven results and good reputation from users.

Also a Seafoam fan on this end. From garden equipment to my Venture has seafoam in them. I rarely put seafoam on the bike since I ride all year round.

I've been using Chrome for awhile and knock on wood - no issues on this end too. Perhaps you've been infected well before you started using Chrome.

Was the Guiness World Record ever mentioned for this jump? Felix's jump may qualify.

After hearing all the highlights, glad to hear that everything went well on his jump. Awesome scene. Great coverage.
