Knowing a few of the folks here, you might not be wanting to see that.......:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

To Part or Not to Part?

Yeah, what he says, no one wants to give you what it's worth as a whole bike anyway. -
I found a pic of the arresting officer that gave Bob the ticket.....

Anytime Lew, sorry I missed you but we had left early that morning for Southern Indiana. If you need any help with the bike let me know I'd be glad to give you a hand. Did sell mine, it's leaving here in a day or two to a new Michigan member. Give me a call if you want to ride sometime. 574-612-3837 cell. -

On my 90 I used the medium setting on the CLASS system when riding solo and the high setting for when we rode 2up. if you don't like the way it feels you can put it in manual and adjust it more to your personal preference. -

Welcome to the site Lew. Nice to see more Indiana riders here. You'll find plenty of technical help here and/or someone who can actually come help you if need be. good luck with the new bike. -
Hmmm, and just how do you know this? :think:You should know better than to ride in shorts anyway. :buttkick:Anyway, I hope the bee sting doesn't last too long. Sounds like a learning experience to me. PS - maybe if you wore speedos the bee couldn't get in, could it? :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Whether a 1st gen or a 2nd gen, I've had both, they're top heavy and easy to drop at a low speed or at a standstill, don't ask how I know. The 2nd gen gearing is quite different from the 1st, especially at slow speeds, takes some getting used to, after a month I'm a lot better than I was at first. Still scary sometimes on slow corners but as said this is a very comfortable touring bike. We did 935 miles this weekend on some twisty backroads and 2 lane highways. I'm a lot better with the twisties now and on the highway it's very comfortable, more so than the 90 I have.

Hey Doug, I know freezyrider had his route pretty much marked on a map. Maybe he still has it and could get you a copy. Mine was right off of the GPS going back, let me see if I can find it in there, if I can I'll send it to you.

Bob is in our thoughts and prayers. Hoping he has a fast recovery.

It's nice down there Dan. I'd ride there anytime. We found some roads in Kentucky you wouldn't believe.

Well, we had a great weekend. the weather was great, the friends were great and the roads were AWESOME! We left Elkhart at 8:00am saturday and picked up 93 Venture in Grovertown, rode backroads and 2 lanes all the way south, got into Corydon at 4:30 pm. We met up with Bummer at Emery's Ice Cream Parlor for dessert before dinner. 342 miles for us Saturday. Sunday we got up early and met Mariner Fan and Freezyrider and his group in Madison IN. Rode into Kentucky and onto some fantastic backroad riding, switchbacks down a gorge, realy cool. Got to Bardstown for lunch at the Old Talbott Tavern just after noon, then went to Heaven Hill distillery for a tour and tasting. We left Freezyrider and his group from there and headed west on some more great backroads to complete our loop back to Corydon. 230 miles for us almost all on backroads. Rode back home today on mostly backroads and 2 lanes, made 363 miles for a total of 935 miles this weekend. All I can say is that was a lot of hours on the bike and some great scenery. Just another great weekend for us with good friends.

Sounds like a couple of good places there. I've been down around there a long time ago and that whole area and into Kentucky is pretty nice. Sue and I plan on going down to Tennessee next year for some of our vacation, it's very nice down there too.
-
Hey Steve, I would think we could meet you at the ice cream parlor. When I know our timetable better I'll let you know. Looks like a good area to ride though.
-
BTW Darrel, make sure you slow down enuff so Kevin can keep up with ya'!!!!!! I don't THINK so Dan, remember, last weekend Bob had to slow down so Darrin could keep up. I still think he should just cough up the money and buy my 90......:rotfl: Have fun in Ohio, we'll have to try that sometime.
-
We haven't set a time to leave yet but knowing Darrin it won't be real early. I would guess we'd be in the area around 2:00pm or so. I'll let you know when we decide what time we're leaving.
-
Hey Joe, That sounds interesting. I'll let you know for sure.
-
Hey Bob, Probably not shrunk in the length huh? Just around the waist maybe? You could just get the suit on Friay and you and Ruth could join us Saturday and sunday, it's only . I'll PM you after awhile.
-
Hi Bob, Don't know if we'll get over your way or not. That is beautiful country there, I lived in Lexington and in Paris for awhile in the early 90s. If not this time we will be back down, if not this fall then next spring or early summer.
-
Hey Bronson, Yep, I was looking at that, looks like a fun ride.
-
We're headed to Southern IN on Saturday with 93 Venture and his wife. We'll be staying in Corydon Saturday and Sunday night. Looking forward to riding some good roads in that area and into Kentucky. Anyone in the area wanting to ride Saturday late afternoon or Sunday let us know.

my 90 VR in the Venturerider classifieds. We just bought Denden's 06 Black Cherry and I need to make room in the garage. http://www.venturerider.org/classifieds/showproduct.php/product/1385

I would agree that having a swivel coupler is a must. I did pull my camper to the Canada rally without one and it did ok but if the bike would go over it would either tip the trailer over or damage the hitch and tongue. I'll be buying the regular swivel coupler for it.
