Do not buy this! I bought one in June, then they "recalled" them because one fell apart on someone. They refunded my money and did not want the item back, I still have it. If you welded the pin in place or put a longer pin with cotter pins on it it might be alright. It was sold before by EZhitches, now I see it's under a different name.

Retirement is becoming a thing of the past. They just want you to keep working until you die. Ever wonder why all politicians get lifetime full salary pensions and we get squat?
-
Hmmmm, wonder who would have one of those in his garage almost ready to put up for sale.......................... oh, that's right, me!
-
Thanks Lynn. Your bike is very nice too, you've done a lot with it. Do you think you can make the M&E this weekend? It'd be good to see you and Lori again.
-
Hey now, I had my turn there the year before, I know better now as do you. Thanks for the compliment.
-
Thanks Chuck. We like her a lot already. We'll have to see about getting together with you and Nancy somewhere along the line pretty soon.
-
Probably, we like the one we have on the 90. I don't just want a piece of one though, maybe ones we can pop on and off with straps.
-
Yeah, the Clearview is nice, I also have a stock shield and a shorty. I'll be moving my highway pegs to the new bike so I have alternate leg position. Where did you connect your garmin for power? Under the seat or inside the fairing?
-
Hey, if you guys want to stay with the first gen that's cool. You might want to consider my 90 when I put it up, only 26,000 miles on her, setup to tow, steel brake lines, etc. It would last you a long time.
-
And i've seen you considering a wing........
-
Thank you Nancy. We will enjoy it, much more comfy for both of us. My knees were complaining after the longer rides on the 90. This one is better with the forward controls.
-
Thanks Bob. it's got a few, we're looking into some other things for it too.
-
Figured it wouldn't last long so I moved fast. Better luck next time fellas.

Thats a nice 1990 you have. Congratulations, Kevin!! Great looking bike. To be honest, I was kind of rolling that one around in my mind too. Denden said "no whine or chirp" and that alone had me interested. You got a great deal on that one! Thanks guys. Yeah, it has no whine or chirp or click, nothing like that. The 90 is in great shape mechanically, needs a tiny bit of touchup on the paint where I fixed the cracks but nothing major. She'll have fresh fluids in her and be all ready for the next person when I put her up for sale.

Last week Sue and I made the move and bought a 2nd Gen. :cool10:We bought Denden's 06 Black Cherry RSV. It's a great bike and Denden and Vicki are great people. We look forward to seeing them in the future and getting to know them better. They did make us feel at home when we stopped by last saturday morning to pick up the bike enroute to Squidley's M&E. We're very happy we bought this and promised them we'd take good care of it. We'd been thinking about doing this next spring but just couldn't pass this one up. I still have my 90 VR at the moment but will put it up for sale after I get my GPS mount and some other things removed. It's also a great bike but I can't afford to keep both of them. Well, I could but Sue wants her space in the garage back. :rotf:

Thanks buddy, but I don't remember you ever having to slow down and wait for me, help me pick up the bike, yes but slow down? I don't think so.

Good evening, just got back from a ride with 93 Venture after getting home from Marine City. Just to set the record straight, yes, we now have an '06 Black Cherry. We bought it from Denden and Vicki on Saturday. Actually we confirmed the deal last Monday but kept it quiet so we could surprise Brad by riding it in to his M&E. This is the second bike I've bought from a Venturerider, the 90 was the first. Both are excellent bikes. Sue and I have been thinking on this for sometime and thought this was the right deal and right time for us. The 90 will be going up for sale soon. I hope to sell it to someone who will take good care of it and RIDE it.

Paypal sent for 2 bells. Thanks Don.

Hey Bob, glad you're ok and no damage to the truck. as said before, people with cell phones on their ear in a car are dangerous. Too distracting for most people. Yes, I always watch in the mirror at stops even in my truck. one of the guys at work had that happen to him last year, rearended while sitting in a line of traffic at a stoplight.

Erik, Was nice to meet you and hope to see you out again. Glad your Mom-in-law enjoyed herself. Keep an eye on the Meet and eat section, there are usually plenty of rides to go to.

Anyone ever take the motorcycle safety course
Leadwolf56 replied to Mariner Fan's topic in Watering Hole
I took the BRC class in 2005 with my son. It took me 3 tries before I kept the bike in the box. I was the first to do the box on skills testing for my license and aced it. I had not ridden before. The instructors were great. There was a huge difference between the 125 I took the class on and the 87 Venture I bought a week later. Now after almost 20,000 miles I'm on my second Venture and have pulled cargo and camping trailers. I still use the skills they taught me, it's well worth the time.- 31 replies

Any word if 2009 Venturer will be EFI?
Leadwolf56 replied to frogmaster's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
One of my wife's patients at the clinic last week was from our dealer here in town. They got to talking about the 2009 and he said that they had heard it is supposed to have EFI. -
:sign yeah that::sign yeah that::sign yeah that: Couldn't say it any better myself.

We got home about 7:30 this evening. I agree the rain last night was really something. The new to us camper held up well and did not leak. We're very happy about that. As others have said it was a great time and the Canadian crew did a marvelous job organizing the rides along with everything else. It was great seeing everyone and we look forward to next year.

Steve, sorry to hear of your misfortune. Wish we would have known. We're home now and I have a trailer available and it is only Friday night. it can get to your house by Sunday night I'm sure. Keep me in the loop, I can help if you need it.
