Dan you aint gonna win this one, listen to your wife. I do disagree with the statement "riding is all you have" sounds like you have a wonderful wife and family, thats alot more than most. It was great seeing you again. Craig

Hey Guys, thanks for all the well-wishes, I can actually laugh about it now, as I look back it was kinda funny. I apologized profusely to the guy that tried to get into the truck, he was cool about it, even gave me his name and number as an eye witness. Bubba came out of the store with a big soda, took one look and went OH S--T. He was as nice a guy as you ever want to meet. Its just minor cosmetic stuff, I rode it home just fine, must have bent up the kickstand some though as its real tight now, it sure dont bounce. As some of you know, I have been known to spend a minute or two shining up my bike:rotf: and then to see it upside down on the cement with gas pouring out of it, well the little yankee went nutzzz. but I did calm down and apologize for my choice of words:cool10: Ins guy is coming tomorrow @9am. I dont want to make any $$$ just get the scratched parts replaced, it even twisted that mounting plate underneath for the centerstand?? dont know how that happened. Thanks again, it didnt spoil my week, it was worth it to see everyone and ride those roads, it was great!!! Craig

Got home at 3:00 this afternoon, long beautiful ride up the Parkway and Skyline drive saw deer, turkeys and a big ole black bear. Think my own bed is gonna feel pretty good tonite:draming: Craig

It was a fantastic Rally, Thank you Mini, Jeff, Laura, Randy and Rooster you guys did a super job of making everyone feel welcome. It was a last minute deal for me, but I am soooo glad I came down. Some of the best riding I have ever done, the sites were awesome, and it was really nice to have the time to get to know some folks alittle better, and meet some new friends. The ride home across the Parkway and Skyline drive was beautiful, and the Progressive Ins agent will be here tomorrow at 9am:missingtooth: Thanks again, I wish I could make them all. Craig

Thanks for the info, I always fill it to just above the bottom of the filler neck, so as not to have it expand and run out all over the place, I guess I should carry a gal. of gas in the bag one time, and see how far I can go after the F gauge comes on on the dash. Craig

Another fantastic day in the NC mtns, there I was minding my own business, filling my tank at the local conv.store. When all of a sudden everyone is yelling "watch out" so I turn to see this big ole green dodge ram pick-up heading my way, with no one in it:scared: So I try to stop it, I am all of 5'5" 170lbs it aint happenin meanwhile a guy comes running up opens the driver door, to try to hit the brakes, I am calling him every name in the book, thinking its his truck, he yells hey man I am just trying to help, aint my truck, about then it crashes into my bike and flips it on its side, bike is pinned to gas pump on left and big-foot on rite:scared: gas pouring out the overflows. Truck wont start, so we gotta push it outta the way, just to get to the bike, now I am more than a little pxxxxxed. Well I found out I can lift the bike up by myself, and I dont have to back into it and use my legs LOL. Well she aint a virgin anymore?? Station owner wanted an incident report as he hit the pumps too so the Police were there and he does have ins. Aint banged up too bad, but it sure put a damper on my day. Craig

Been in that area a few times, it is beautiful, you are gonna have a great ride, 33 is a nice road but be careful, some nasty turns. you really ought to take a ride up to Snowshoe mtn. and Highland scenic highway. Craig

Great question I have been wondering this very thing, the fuel display switches on on the dash about 190 miles, it starts bucking I switch to reserve, drive another 25 miles, Stop get gas and put 4.5 gal. in?? If the tank holds 6 gal. I could easily go another 50 miles? why do they have the reserve set so early? Craig

Sorry you guys couldnt come down and show off that new bike, We had a great dinner tonite must have been 40 bikes at Phils BBQ Joint, we had the whole deck to ourselves, Rooster did an A1 job putting the dinner on. Toured the Biltmore, lots of BS, awesome weather. it dont get much better than this. Craig

What a great time, loads of folks arrived today, short ride up to Chimney Rock. it is a beautiful place, also stopped at Lure lake. neat little spot for lunch. Headed over to KOA for a cookout Randya and his wife put out a great dinner spread. Between Randya and his wife, Mini and Jeff and Rooster they did one helluva job in putting this together, cant thank them enuff. Pretty quiet nite tonite, think everyone is resting up for tomorrow. It was neat seeing Kbran and the Squidley bike today. Time for bed. Craig
