It rides great 2-up, but most of my riding is solo...... I`m gonna strip the rear end today and see if I can find out what the " Clunk" is... almost sounds like the brake pads moving around.. thanks for the reply, think I am going to take a look at EIII`s this time around, the Venums where great, got 12k out of the rear, but it squared off real bad, Guess I need to ride more twisties.. K

The jury is still out on my Kumho, probably have 1500-2000 miles on it, I am running 43lbs in it and 40 in the front Avon Venum, I had a scare yesterday on the interstate, I gunned it and swung out to pass and almost lost it, had a real bad wobble from front to back, felt like the rear was washing out from under me.. not sure if its the tire or not, I posted a while (few days) back about a clunk sound when I take off, still got it, I have checked for anything loose.... I am going to try and check the swing arm today, not really sure how, but I`m going to jack it up and start taking it apart. If I don`t find anything ( loose swing arm bushings) then I am going to get rid of the C/T... if this doesn`t fix the problem, then I will get rid of the RSV... that really scared the #$% out of me yesterday, and if I am afraid to ride it, I don`t need it.. any Ideas or sugestions would be great. Thanks, PS, bike is a `01 with around 21k on it, I just tightened the steering head bearings while up at Lowells a few weeks ago. K

It looks like the weather is moving S. to N, so really think we will be below the nasty stuff.... I am going, or at least as long as I can see... this windsheild blows, and having glasses doesn`t help either.. I don`t think Janet is going to go, she has been sick all week and doesn`t need to take a chance of getting wet.... I need to tweek the Green Beast tonight and get things ready to go, I won`t have time Friday. Don, what side of Beltway 8 is the Flying J on, or should I just take 10 from 610W ?? Kreg

I got a schwin water bottle holder, a 2 hole strap and a small peice of rubber, mounted it on my handle bar.....the wifes is for a boat, but works great.. The schwin bottle holder is alum. so rust is not a problem

Is fuel pump really needed?

I have heard of a few doing that just to get it back home, it will run, but you have to take it easy on the throtle as the gravity can`t keep up with the demand.... if your fuel pump is bad, Ponch put a (can`t think of the name) fuel pump on his for around $60.00 works great and better then $200.00 from yamy...you can contact Ponch for all the info if he doesn`t jump on this.. K -

Don, Gonna have to check the weather again as it gets closer to the weekend, right now there is a 40% rain chance in New Iberia for Sat. Looks like all of this great stuff we are getting today and the rest of the week is headed that way. ya, I`m a woose.. but, getting caught in the rain is one thing, heading for a ride in it is another....

Pick, Gunboat has some foam looking heated grips on his bike, not sure where he go them. They look like they added 1/4 to the size of the grip. I am sure he will post to this and let you know where he got them or if they where on the bike when he got it.. Good luck. Kreg
